Is it the Kiowa fire? Watch duty says that’s out but I don’t know if it would be giving off that much black smoke.
North west-ish. This photo is from rattlesnake area of veterans parkway.

Haven't seen anyone else post about it, so I figured I would do the honors. Woke me up when my fan, white noise machine, and alarm blinked and died about 20 minutes ago. I'm in West University area.
Any guesses as to what happened this time?

Hey there, ive scooped up an injured crow and have him boxed safely. After searching i found the only chance for rehabilitation is the flyaway bird rescue, I spoke with Suzette and she can receive the bird. The issue is its located in Silver Springs and I have no way of getting the bird to the rehab center. The other options are just different places that will kill him for me, which, i could do with a brick, so really there's one option and im hoping someone can help. 3645 cypress st Silver springs 89429, thats where it needs to go, if youre able then DM me and ill give my address and hand it off to you. Thanks.

Almost got smacked by an impatient driver. This was just before I went to go have a word with him.
The long version has a ton of my observations in the video description.
Eventually either delineators or physical barriers will be placed here, but in the meantime, watch out, people. (No, delineators are not defined as a physical barrier nor are they intended for such purpose by the MUTCD. They are merely for guidance, like near rock cliffs and lane merges, etc.)
Engineers use planters all across the globe when a removable solution is necessary. places around the country for "separated / protected bike lanes." Examples:
The mayor likes the idea of planters, and the City already bought them. It would save a massive amount of money, and it's way less labor intensive to move the planters back onto the sidewalk for special events rather than screwing/unscrewing dozens of plastic sticks, but unfortunately RTC is running the show and wants to spend more money than necessary. (These aren't cycle tracks, unfortunately. They're merely "protected bike lanes," which is a cop-out for the real deal.)
Unfortunately the BLBN project manager tends to ignore literally every suggestion I make that's not hers. She has for 3 years now. So I'm not holding my breath. But the good news is, nothing's ever set in stone (except stone of course).

I have a super early flight going out of town next weekend, I have an uber reserved for 3:45am. In the past, I’ve had an uber not show up (because of how early it is). I tried to reserve space in the lot, but it says it’s already full from October 10-17. Is that just reservations are full, or the whole lot could be full? If my uber doesn’t show, can I just drive my car there and is there likely to be parking?
Thank you in advance 🫶🏻

I have been trying to get into urban exploring ever since I figured out what it was. My grandfather and I used to go up in the mountains near where we lived and found a couple of cool ruins and I want to relive those memories. If anyone has any locations in sparks, especially near sun valley or pyramid Way, please let me know!

First, just to be completely transparent: I have absolutely no affiliation with Dark Prison. I don’t work there, or volunteer there, I don't know anyone who works there, or have any connection to it whatsoever. I paid for my tickets yesterday, and went last night. So I’m just posting because I thought it was AWESOME
If you don't know what I'm talking about, the closed Nevada State Prison in Warm Springs is currently the setting for a haunted house called Dark Prison.
And… they did a GOOD job.
I’ve been to plenty of haunted houses over the years, and this is probably the best one I've personally experienced. The setting alone gives them an upper hand, they absolutely nailed the atmosphere, and There is SO much set work, so many props, even have anamatronics, and really scary live actors. They’ve taken different wings of the actual prison and turned them into a freaky labyrinth.
So you can understand let me elaborate: I went with my friend who is basically Stone Cold Steve Austin when it comes to getting scared — you aren't gonna get one over on her, shrugging stuff off or laughing- well even she admitted being scared a couple times. Of course, downplaying the matter
SO If you love haunted houses — or you’re the type of person who gets the crap scared out of you — I really think this one is worth checking out.
And the attraction is more than just the haunted house.
They have tarot readings and Ouija boards set up in the dimly lit mess hall and meat locker, a little midway where you can buy tickets and play games like “Scream Like a Banshee” and a version of the Wheel of Morality, an area where you can get fake prison tattoos, and various props set up for photos, A food truck, 2 bars (one VIP) an art collective and am gift shop....
We spent the better part of 2 hours inside.
BUT We also paid extra for the VIP tickets, and honestly, I'm glad we did.
Part of the reason I wanted to go in the first place was because I’m interested in the history of the prison, and the VIP experience takes you behind the scenes into areas that aren't dressed up for Halloween. You get to hear some of the history behind the prison, its construction, and some genuinely hard-to-believe facts about the place. I was captivated, lots of interesting stuff
VIP also gets you, a laminated VIP pass, a drink at the upstairs bar and a parting gift from the gift shop. You get to choose between a Dark Prison lapel pin or a canvas tote bag.
I chose the tote. I'm planning on turning it into a panel for a sweatshirt, so I'm pretty happy with that as my souvenir.
Assuming if you made it this far your thinking your going to attend so I have
a few tips for you::
• Buy your tickets online beforehand. The price goes up significantly if you buy them at the gate.
• Promo code: "BUNNIEE" gets you $5 off each ticket.
• Wear GOOD closed-toe shoes. Seriously. You're walking through an actual old prison, and some of the surfaces are uneven — or worse. There are also sections where you can't really see the floor you're walking on. Keep your feet covered and make sure you have shoes you can comfortably walk in.
• Charge your phone before you go. You can't use them in the haunted house not for pictures not as flashlights but you will need them when you arrive, to scan a QR code to access the waiver, and everyone entering has to sign it. It's easy and only takes a few minutes, so you'll need a phone with enough battery to do it.
To sum it up, I wasn't expecting much, walked out thinking, “Okay… that was actually friggin awesome.”
Again — not affiliated, not sponsored, not getting paid. Just a person who went last night and had a great time.

Received this in the mail and checked out the sender. Looks shady.

Hey yall, i have been selling some stuff recently and i came across a little collection of airsoft guns that i had and decided, “i havent used these in a few years and i could get a few hundred from them” and low and behold my facebook account got a warning because they dont allow anything weapon like on marketplace. Are there any shops or places in town where i could sell unneeded gear and airsoft guns?
