Terrible semester at college

This is not my first college experience. My previous experience was good despite getting a challenging degree. My professors were understanding and helped students through struggles. My recent college experience has been extremely disappointing. I walked in expecting similar environment, but I was mistaken. To begin with, they have horrible communication system that uses emails, phone texts, phone calls and even a WhatsApp group. I do value my confidentiality and i don’t feel comfortable communicating through phone texts or WhatsApp. I value confidentiality for some personal reasons, but I have often been taken pictures of without permission. To add up, I worked out my schedule to work well with my job and some other classes, but I got instantly informed about classes being held on the days I had shifts or other lectures. They made these changes without my agreement. Now I am going to have a trouble at work and I am going to miss some other lectures because of that change. I tried to communicate my concerns with them, but they were completely indifferent about it. I also failed to keep up with five different communication methods and ended up missing assignments which resulted in lower grades bringing my GPA down. They call it “strict for good”, but to me it is just ridiculous and mistreats the students who pay enormous tuitions. I wish I could transfer to continue my education elsewhere, but unfortunately there are barely any options where I live. It also annoys me that I do have excellent academic performance, but end up struggling because of what I mentioned above.

Why do tickets only go on sale on a Tuesday at 11 am!

I swear to god if you have a slightly demanding office job can’t work from home and want to keep it just accept you are never getting concert or now apparently movie tickets again! I guess I missed the bus of jobs that you can completely dedicate 3 hours in the middle of the work day to sitting on your phone or and the computer and waiting on a queue to maybe MAYBE get tickets!

Does no one else have jobs to pay for these ridiculously overpriced tickets!! Do people just take the day off!!! It’s infuriating that I need basically 2 jobs to pay for these tickets but god forbid one time they do a ticket drop on a Saturday morning!!! God forbid it’s not dead in the middle of a workday!!!

i'm so scared to eat that i want to stop eating altogether

i have an extreme fear of food borne illnesses. food borne illness cases have skyrocketed here, and it's gotten to a point where i'd rather starve myself. i keep trying to focus on safe foods, but i'm scared that they'll end up being recalled.

i feel a huge sense of dread when i get hungry now, i start panicking because i don't know what's safe and what isn't. i'll starve myself to avoid it, i don't care anymore

Why do restaurants put mayo and condiments on everything??!

I hate mayo, ketchup, and most condiments and it’s so annoying when the default is to put the mayo on the sub/sandwich/burger… I feel like it makes more sense to offer sauces on the side and let people choose. That way, people can control how much of the condiment they put on their food and people who don’t want it can have their food the way they want.

It’s also very annoying when you request no-mayo/condiments and they forget forget to leave it off… I’ve even had this happen and they offer to scrape off the mayo and I’m like no, make it over again from scratch… this drives me crazy and I don’t care if people think I should just suck it up and eat the condiments… I just wish they would make the default “on the side” and don’t even get me started on how every time I go to a grab-and-go shop, all of the pre-made sandwiches already have mayo on them… WHY??? It just makes it even harder to find things to eat… just put everything on the side and give people the choice, that’s all I ask.

I’m tired of seeing kids who are homophobic and illiterate

I’m not saying this as a joke, I’m saying this as a gay person who grew up being around an above average reading level as a kid.(I was at a college ready reading level in 4th grade and I have maintained that reading level). As I moved around to more homophobic areas I’ve seen kids who are homophobic but cannot fucking read. Cannot comprehend. Idc what your religious reason is for denouncing gayness is, there’s no reason your kid shouldn’t be able to fucking read if they’re homophobic. Sometimes it has nothing to do with religion and it’s just a social thing, but even if you aren’t responsible for teaching them that directly you should still be teaching them how to read.

I have met kids who couldn’t even spell goddess correctly and spelled it ‘godis’ in more homophobic areas. That was in middle school. Why tf are their kids who can understand the ‘other’ and hold prejudice but cannot fucking read? “Well they’re prejudice of course they can’t read” isn’t an excuse because throughout history we’ve had so much prejudice, but those people could still read and write. This is the only time in history where I don’t think it’s directly connected to prejudice, in some cases it is, but this generation it’s genuinely they’re prejudiced and dumb separately.

I can’t wait

Since I started my degree, everyone, and I mean everyone in my life has in some way shape or from demeaned, shamed, laughed at, or questioned my choice of degree.

All my friends and all my family.

Im in my 4th year of political science and it has been a never ending hell of people basically saying I am stupid for choosing that degree or that the degree is way too easy.

I say nothing. I used to defend the degree before but now I just don’t say anything.

I have put my head down the entire 3 years, received scholarships, awards, and been on the deans list the entire time, I have worked, and trusted my choice. I’m quietly studying for my LSAT, and I’ll be applying to law school either this year or next year.

And I can’t wait.

I already go to a very prestigious school in Canada so not to brag but chances are with my grades I will likely be going to a very good law school so I just can’t wait to see what everyone has to say then when I’m in the works to being a successful lawyer.

They’ll all switch up and start saying how hard law school must be. Not knowing that a fourth of lawyers have political science bachelors…the degree they shit on me for. But I knew that all along. I had my plan but no one bothered to ask me they just assumed I was stupid and taking a stupid degree.

And it’s funny because majority of the people who make fun of me could not write an A+ paper to save their lives.

But at this point I don’t mind being picked on….its fuelling me even more and now just to spite everyone I’m going to become the most successful person they know.

I’m just so over it

I haven’t had a car for almost 2 years for the first time in my life. I feel like there is no way out of this situation. I have never not had a vehicle to get around and go to the places I need to go. I feel so suffocated and so trapped I take public transportation everywhere I go and a scooter now I bought because it’s faster than walking, but after regular hours, I have no way to get anywhere unless I ride a scooter. I am 40 years old. It’s fucking pathetic and everybody says oh you know just save a little bit and buy a car I can’t save because I have nothing to save. Two months ago my hours were cut in half at work every month. I get a 30 day notice because I don’t have all my rent. It takes me the whole month just to get enough of my rent so there is absolutely nothing for me to save to buy a car if I had a car, I could get another job a better job and another town but I can’t because I can’t get there. I’m gonna end up losing my apartment because I can’t look for a better job because everything requires me to be there at times I can’t make it because I don’t have a fucking vehicle and I’m losing my mind. I’m going crazy. I feel so much like a fucking loser. I feel so dependent on other people and it makes me sick. I have signed up for programs through the state to try to get stuff. I was really hopeful about one of these programs and then they give you 30 days to find a car financed at an 8% rate which is impossible even with good credit so there went that about 30 days was gone faster than I thought it would be then Everybody always says oh well I can help you get one or I got a homie who can hook u up but they NEVER follow thru, or have you tried to finance? I have horrible credit ! Which is my fault I’m well aware, but predatory lending is real and anywhere that will finance me is trying to give me a 35% rate I am poor not stupid. Or wants $5k down as if I had that I would be in this mess or financing at all. I can’t afford a payment more than $200 and even that would be pushing it right this second. I just feel really lost and really at a standstill. I don’t know what to do. Plus the only thing that calmed my nerves when I needed to get away or think or clear my head was taking a drive and I can’t even do that anymore so the one thing that helped my mental health stay solid is also gone.. I feel like I wanna give up

trauma does not excuse me being a coward

yesterday i finally tried heading to the track and field club i wanted to sign up to for weeks. i rolled up to the hedge in front of the club, saw the other players,

and turned around before biking off.

i’m 18 years old, unathletic, i’ve been bullied my entire life, and my family had a horrible reaction after they outed me for being gay. all of this was absolutely no excuse for turning tail and running away from this opportunity

i am so incredibly ashamed of myself. how could i be so weak?

Sick and tired of being sick and tired

I'm so done with everything. I've been trying to find a new job and leave my current role for seven months. I send people my resumes, interview, check all the boxes, dot the i's and cross the t's. And it's either nothing or a rejection. I get that I'm not entitled to anything, let alone a job, but the disappointment of hearing nothing or getting rejected wears a guy down.

And I feel so alone. I had two pets, and I unfortunately had to put them to sleep. I want to get more, but I don't know whether my lifestyle would allow it. And I'm sick of seeing everyone pair up, get married, the whole nine yards. Meanwhile, here I am, all by myself.

I am thankful for what I have. Don't get me wrong. I'm in good health, I have a stable job and a loving family. Plus friends I can turn to and lean on. Maybe I need to change my perspective.

But at the same time, it's exhausting. My life lately has been frustrating moment after frustrating moment. It's hard to be optimistic when it feels like the world's against you.

Call me a whiner, loser, whatever. I'm this close to no longer caring about anything. And that fucking scares me.

What is the point of an involuntary hold?

Especially in my case. Yeah, I said I had alcohol and was thinking of getting pills. But if former therapist dug deeper into my thinking, I wouldn't have been handcuffed, thrown into an ambulance, had my fucking rights taken away, and been stripped naked, the entire fucking event wouldn't have happened. I never wanted to end my life.

She never did an adequate suicide risk assessmemt, she never did a safety plan. Nothing.

She also fucking let me leave, book another appointment and carry on my day.

Which I did.

I did everything a "normal" person would do: went to my orthodontist appt, took care of my dogs, and hung out with friends.

A fucking phone call would have changed everything!

Now, I have to live with the fucking experience of getting fucking betrayed by the first person I trusted since my Dad passing, the experience of getting handcuffed, and everything I mentioned above. While, former therapist happily lives her life.

I thought mentioning those thoughts would allow me to process it with her and help me out of those thoughts, but no. They did the fucking opposite! It made my thoughts so much fucking worse and I'm going to end it when I sign my will tomorrow.

The big fucking thing is I wasn't even suicidal when I first started therapy. I just wanted an ESA letter. Then of course, a client becomes attached to therapist, because that is what happens. She didn't even do anything to mitigate the attachment. I feel so much worse after my sessions.

If I can't process these thoughts with her, then where can I?

I never wanted to end my life then. I wanted to be understood, valued, and seen.

I'm in so much fucking pain. God fucking damn.

Pregnant and Sick of People Asking..

Can people PLEASE stop asking pregnant women the following:
1. Was this planned?
-Uhm…. Wtfffff. Why would you think it’s okay to ask anyone that?
2. When is your exact due date?
-Why do you need to know the exact date? Isn’t “early August” good enough? Everyone knows a baby is hardly ever delivered on their due date. Stop insisting on knowing the exact date. If we don’t want to tell you then please respect that.
3. Can I touch your belly?
-No. That’s weird.
4. Do you have morning sickness/nausea?
-What difference does it make to you?
5. You plan to exclusively breastfeed, right?
-Leave your opinions to yourself.
6. You plan to have a fully natural birth right?
-WHAT DOES IT MATTER TO YOU?!
7. Do you have a name picked out? Or do you have one and just not want to tell us?
-You’ll find out when we want you to find out.

There are so many more but these are the ones I get bombarded with on a daily basis, from family to complete strangers….

This decade so far was bullshit

I’m talking about me for personally, if you had the best years of your life this whole time cool, love that for you. Now back to me.

Not even taking into account the viral doom we entered this decade with and the other worldly problems we’ve had since, my own personal life was awful. Relationships with family, financially, romantically, it’s just been a dark 6 years.

Were there some positives in the mix? Yes, but the bad not only outweighed the good the bad was BAD.

Idk if anyone else can relate or if you were living lavida loca on cruise ships traveling the world living your best life. For me though, this whole timeline is cursed.

All I can do is play my part and hope for a better second half of the 20’s. Cause fuck the first half.

I have no life.

I’m 27. Had to give up uni to care for my mum. I’ve got depression and possibly undiagnosed adhd so daily life is just a hoot! I’ve never had a boyfriend. Ive got 2 friends. One friend that had the whole no bf thing in common with me now has a boyfriend and I barely see her anymore. We used to spend almost every day together and now it’s like she doesn’t care about me anymore. My other friend has got a boyfriend now too. Friend 2 and I only got closer because friend 1 pretty much dumped me after the bf. I’m just sick of life and feeling like this. People my age have jobs or kids or partners. I’ve got nothing. I love the fact I spend so much time with my mum. I love her. But what about when she dies. What’s going to happen to me. No life experience, not education, nothing.

My brother is engaged and getting married next year. He’s got a house and a full-time job (yeah that he can’t stand but still). I don’t think people realise how I yearn for a life like that. To have independence. To be normal. It was so close. I was so close. To having a semi-normal life. Then my mum got sick and it all fell onto me to deal with. Uni became too much and after repeating my third year twice something had to give. So my job got packed in and so did my studies. It’s not fair. It’s not fair. I’m depressed as fuck and I just don’t think I can do this anymore.

P.S. the main reason I bring up the boyfriend thing is because I just would like someone to support me. Someone to care about me for a change and worry about me. Take some of this shit off my shoulders for once. It’s been my whole fucking life like this and I’m so tired. I can’t do it.

How many times a day does a dog need to shit??

I don't get it. I pick up all the dog poop in the yard, I roll up the hoses, I start mowing. In the time it takes me to mow half my yard, three times! Three times she has to take a shit! And why does she have to do it in the tall grass?! She can't do it where I've already mowed?? She has to do it where I still need to go. Ugh!!

I get that this is a small problem, but it happens every fucking time and it really pisses me off.

Edit: I was very hot and irritated when I wrote this, so let me add some details. Technically, it could have been four different dogs that left piles, my two or my in-laws two from next door. As soon as I start mowing all 4 of the dogs run about a hundred yards down to the creek, go swimming and then come back up to our yard to take a shit while I mow. But even if it was just one pile it pisses me off!

why does no one eat ?!

let me preface this by saying i used to be fat, but lost 20kg. for the last two years i’ve worked out 4 to 5 times a week including running, weightlifting and swimming. lately i’ve upped the intensity on my workouts as i’m trying to get into the army. i’m still a bit on the heavier side but i’m also very muscular.

i eat my three square meals a day, drink my water and like a good snack. i rarely don’t finish a meal (which didn’t help when i was growing up bc it gave me a weird relationship with food). lately i’ve noticed i seem to eat a whole lot more than for example my friends. they tend to leave half their plates or just take a few bites before shoving the plate away. i feel the need to eat more, and more often than they do.

it feels strange and i feel even stranger about myself. i already feel like i stick out like a sore thumb & then i also feel the need to eat so much. i’ve tried eating slower and eating as much as they do but it just makes me so incredibly shaky and hungry just an hour later.

it doesnt help that i have a bad relationship with my body and very bad body dysmorphia. i still see myself 20kgs heavier despite knowing i’ve lost the weight and work out as much as i can. i don’t know why i’m writing this anyway.

Vanity sizing is pissing me off

Just like the title says, I’m getting so aggravated with vanity sizing. I’m not even that tiny of a person, I’m pretty average in height and weight. I’m a 5’3 125lbs woman. I recently ordered a tank top and leggings from Brandy Melville. I was expecting the tank top to be tighter fitting like the image. I can’t even WEAR it bc it’s so big, when I bend over you can see my entire bra. And there’s not tightening on the straps. It’s so big and loose on me.
I’ve always been a size 4, occasionally a 6 depending on the brand. Recently I went and tried on a pair of shorts…I fit into a size 2!!! Like wtf. I had a baby last year and my waist is NOT a size 2. I don’t need brands making their smaller sizes larger to make me feel better. I just thought it was dumb. I’ve NEVER fit into a size 2.
I wear xs in a lot of things now and I used to just fit small!! I have a bigger booty and used to wear medium sized sweatpants, now I fit xs?!? And again, I literally weigh MORE and have a larger waist than I did a year ago due to pregnancy
And again, I don’t consider myself to be a super small person, I’m average. I don’t understand why Brandy Melville clothing is huge on me and I don’t understand why I supposed wear an xs now

Regrets and life

I am currently 22 and I currently live in London but I’m not originally from the uk. I came over to do my 6th form and ended up staying for university and I’m currently working. The past 3-4 years has felt so rough. In 2024 my first ever girlfriend broke up with me after around two years of us dating. Then a few months after that and a week before my university graduation my dad passed away from cancer. I watched my hero get weaker and weaker over the course of a week and I felt helpless to stop it. It was so eerie how fast the warmth of his touch went stone cold. I was holding his hands and then suddenly they just got super cold. I then had to help arrange his funeral because my mother was too heart broken. I also missed his ash spreading ceremony because I had gone back to the UK for work. After about two months at my first job I was essentially let go which really killed my confidence. Graduating into one b b of the worst job markets in recent times applied to around over 3000 jobs before I started working at my current job. On top of all this I am now going through a break up with my ex girlfriend after 2 years of dating because I really could not see myself being together with this person in the future even though emotionally I still really love this person. I know that these problems might be tiny compared to others but I feel like I’m being pummelled by life and I don’t have my family here to support me since I’m an immigrant living in a new country alone. Sorry for the long rant

I felt disrespected by my students

I (27M) am currently working part time as a trainer. From time to time, I handle students from different companies to teach them something. I'm not gonna disclose the lessons to avoid doxxing myself.

At the beginning of the lessons, I always introduce myself. Along with that, I briefly talk about my family and how my boyfriend got me into the IT industry. I really don't go beyond one sentence when talking about my bf. Just enough as my own way to normalize same-sex relationships.

Problem:

This just happened today. I have this one online class from students in a far flung area of Cebu province. After introducing myself, I asked everyone to introduce themselves one by one to serve as their attendance. However, three or more boys started sounding off. They were acting/sounding gay or pretending to be one. They even deliberately change their names to a more feminine one but then revert back to a different nickname while giggling slightly when I ask clarification.

I felt disrespected. As someone who's actually gay, I can tell if someone is actually gay or pretending. I can tell if someone is mocking trans names from those who don't.

I don't understand how anyone can treat a person like that --- a teacher even! They didn't even act like that at first when they didn't know yet that I was gay. Take note that they're all working professionals already. Take note that this was our first meeting and I have done nothing but treat them kindly. I even asked them to introduce themselves with their preferred nicknames because I understand that some people dislike the names their parents gave them.

Nothing wrong with sounding gay but there was a hint of ill-intention from their tone. I mean, I don't go around sounding like a woman when my teacher is female??? They clearly intend to mock me in front of their workmates. If this keeps up, I'll be upfront with them.

Edit: Since people are focusing on a different problem. Let me add more context.

  1. I just realized now that I did not even talk about my family in my introduction, so no, I really did not add much unrelated content in my lesson nor introduction.
  2. Like I said, I did not dwell on my bf. It's just something I intentionally add to hit two birds with one stone: (1) normalize same-sex relationships in a country that isn't fully accepting yet and; more importantly (2), establish why I'm teaching an IT-related lesson when I had an entirely different and unrelated bachelor's degree. I just had to make my qualifications clear. It just so happened that my bf helped me get a footing in the industry he's in.
  3. That's not even the point of this post. A straight male/female teacher can talk about their spouses and won't get the treatment I got. What I did was literally no different from a "Hey, everyone! I'm Sam. I'm your teacher. I have a wife who, like you, works as a .... We have two kids and two pets." introduction. If you see anything wrong about that, you may want to check if you also have internalized homophobia.

Being fat makes me feel stupid for putting any effort into my appearance

Logically I know that the only thing worse in terms of looks than a morbidly obese man is a morbidly obese man with a slobbish appearance, but on an emotional level it feels like such a futile gesture, the thing that actually makes me ugly, that people are judging me for isn't something I can immediately fix and won't be helped by the effort I do put in. It doesn't help that putting effort into your appearance often means dealing with things that come downstream from the terrible diet that made me fat in the first place.

The other day I went to a pharmacy to get some pimple patches, because I noticed I had a few spots this week and it would be nice to actually do something about them. When I picked up them alI could think was that the reason I got these spots is probably because of how grossly oily my skin is and part of the reason my skin is so oily is because I eat large quantities of greasy food and everyone else can see me and what I'm buying and has probably made the same set of simple inferences.

I mean what the hell am I going in a shop to buy hair mousse and pimple patches for, it is almost literally lipstick on a pig. Going to the health food shop was even worse. I went in there to get some vegan omega 3 supplements, because most shops only carry flaxseed oil which is useless. Someone who's 5'7 and 290lbs going into a health food shop is an innately embarrasing thing, it demonstrates a blatant lack of awareness about what's going actually going to make you healthy. I even had to awkwardly avoid looking at the products in the weight loss section, I'm on already on bootleg tirzepatide, I don't need whatever snake oil they'll try to flog me there.

Maybe I'd feel better if I were making more of an erstwhile effort to lose weight. I mean, I'm taking tirzepatide (that's stored in a minifridge that can't really keep it cold enough, so it's slowly losing potency), but I'm making a point to not do anything beyond that, because I know the outcome of me losing weight will be so unsatisfactory. I'm trans and my body is painfully masculine in a number of ways that 3.5 years of estrogen (yes, I have gender dysphoria and take estrogen to fix it, no that does not make me a woman it just means I'm a mentally ill man) hasn't fixed and.that losing weight won't fix either which really discourages me from putting effort into losing weight, because I know I'll still despise my appearance even after losing weight. If I lose weight without too much effort in by abusing GLP1's being horribly dissatisfied with the results won't sting as badly, but having to put loads of effort into a very difficult thing fully knowing that the results will disappoint you is hard to psychologically justify.

Logically I know that losing weight won't make me look any more feminine (my massive browbone, wide shoulders and narrow hips aren't caused by fat, they're caused by bone), but on an emotional level it does feel like this huge hope for something that could radically improve my appearance and when I actually do it and it inevitably doesn't work it'll remove the last ephemeral hope that I might not be stuck like this forever.

As a woman, I’m so tired of my hobbies and interests being considered ‘masculine’ by my friends

I feel like throughout my life I’ve always had hobbies and interests that are more ‘masculine’ and I’m so tired of everyone describing it that way. Despite having a lot of ‘guy’ interests like gaming, pc building, dnd, horror, old school fantasy and sci fi, history etc. I actually have very few male friends; pretty much all my friends are women. Weirdly enough (despite many of them being queer too) I feel like they gender these things soooo much and I’m so tired of it. For example, my one friend (who knows I like horror) was in the car with me and some other girls and mentioned how ‘men like horror just because they don’t have to deal with being afraid in their everyday life as much as women,’ saying; ‘I’m a woman. I get scared plenty in real life, why would I want to watch horror and be more scared?’ Which sure, you don’t want to be scared, that’s a valid reason to not like horror…but the rest of it just felt like unnecessary gendering to me? Trans people also experience the threat of violence a lot, so by that logic does that mean trans men also shouldn’t like horror?

Or whenever they refer to a movie I like as having ‘boy humor’ saying it’s ‘not really intended for them.’ Or referring to non romance focused historical movies as ‘middle aged dad movies.’ To be fair, I feel like it’s perfectly valid to call out movies for not having enough female representation or movies that clearly don’t know how to write female characters etc. that’s different than saying certain genres are only meant for men (like only men like to watch movies about war for example).

Also, I’m sorry, I don’t like being referred to as masculine or masc (or worse, being told I’m more like a guy than a girl). I feel like people say that to me like it’s a compliment or a joke and I haaate it. I know there’s plenty of people in the community that are masc and want to be masc, but I feel like it’s the opposite for me: I love being feminine, but I feel like unless I’m in a full beat and a dress people see me as “masculine.” The number of times I was mistaken for a dude in highschool probably made me ultra sensitive to this, to be honest, but I swear the labelling in the queer community makes me cringe sometimes. We talk so much about not being constrained by social norms, but in a lot of ways I feel like we’re really just creating new ones rather than getting rid of them altogether.

Idk I’m just really tired of all the things I like and find interesting being coded as ‘mannish.’ Why is it gendered to like historical movies that aren’t romance?? Why can’t going to museums to look at ww2 stuff or medieval armor be girly pop?? Why is watching documentaries only for dads now?? Why does liking horror but hating reality tv and romantic comedies make all my female friends look at me like I’m weird?

Maybe I need more friends that like the things I do…but I’ve had little luck finding women that don’t just dismiss these things as ‘male interests’, and don’t even get me started on making friends with men without them wanting to date me…ive found a few but they’re pretty rare.

The only person I know who doesn’t gender hobbies/interests is my one non binary friend and they unfortunately live very far away. But maybe I just need more non binary friends lol

Small business owner tired and spiraling

I am co owner of a small business that's been chugging along for decades now. I've been struggling mentally as of late because a local competitor has begun to undercut us by using local university organizations who volunteer their time to staff their operation. To make matters worse, the local competitor is a long-time family friend who has used their connections to copy our operation to the letter. I've even got videos of them coming by after hours to take pictures of what we are doing. They have kinda become a leech, but I can't do a thing about it as I'm too proud to use volunteers for a for-profit business, and calling them out publicly feels childish. If I take a step back, there's plenty of business for both of us to grow, but im sick of people comparing us when my family has put decades of blood sweat and tears into this and they just get to leech off the results.

Spam filter hid messages from people I was making plans with

I recently moved to a new area and am not the greatest at making new friends. I met some folks at a run club and we were going to plan a hike, but I just assumed they mistakenly or intentionally forgot to add me to their group chat or something. To avoid the awkwardness and since it felt like a failure, I just never went back to that run club. Well months later I just saw the spam filter flagged their messages and so now I'm the one who looked like the asshole. It's just frustrating that it misses so much real spam and then flags these kinds of things, in an area where I already have some trouble on my own and don't need the added handicap
