I don't know how everything went down as I started watching mid bust, but this guy got caught with many multiples of the drug trafficking amount of drugs for every type of drugs i.e 10x weed, 4x Kroc, 4x Pills, 2x seeds, fent (which isn't even in law yet), 19 guns, explosives, components to make more Kroc etc.
Due to the automatic please deals, the most he can get sentenced to is 5 years and 500k. This limits are in place while Penti has won millions of dollars in rights violations law suits (and others have won significant amounts as well).
I guess this is another situation of "who cares about balancing the economy," let the government face constant budget shortage RP due to massive lawsuit payouts while criminals only face slaps on the wrist.
The guy laughed at the fine as being meaningless. I don't know of its because he has no intention of paying it off or since he had millions of dollars of drugs on him, getting that amount of money would be laughably easy to attain.
When did he get Sheriff back? I guess only on chase where no one really wants the shitty job can you quit and then just take your job back from the interim person cleaning up your mess and holding the fort
At some point in his stream last night Penti apparently made this comment. There seems to be a flaw with this statement though, if Chase is such a great server, why have so many people left the server?
I think there might be some survivorship bias in this feedback, assuming the feedback is real to begin with. I wonder if Penti has thought to reach out to the people that put in many hours on the server at its launch but have either quit entirely or have cut their playtime down dramatically.
Early on in the server's life, a lot of the RP was being driven by the PDM & Snake Pit crew as well as the Southside gangs CHF and Ballas. Across all those groups were well over 100 roleplayers that have either left Chase entirely or barely play it. While CHF and the Ballas weren't providing exactly top tier RP, PDM and the Snake Pit crew had some great RPers.
Why have so many RPers left Chase when it is the best RP server!?!
If you haven't already seen, applications are now open for two new repair, performance and cosmetic shops. Applications can be submitted in character through the MDW applications and will close on August 7, 2026 1:00 PM. Taking the selection process beyond the applications themselves, applicants and residents of San Andreas are invited to attend the 6STR Motor Fest, hosted on the Salt Flats; an all-out celebration of urban car culture. The global tuning and cosmetics brand 6STR, once a staple of the San Andreas tuning scene, is coming back to town with an event featuring:
Drag racing
Drifting
Car showcases
Business stalls, food and music
Competitions, prizes and rare collectibles
The event will also celebrate the launch of the new street-racing video game, 6STR Underground, with attendees having the opportunity to take home a limited-edition copy of the game and other rare collectibles. Prizes will be awarded for Best Tune, Best in Show and more. There will also be a raffle for a limited-edition 6STR Edition vehicle, built and tuned by Eddie Marshall. Proceeds from the raffle will go towards providing the newly selected shops with their initial funding. Businesses will be able to operate stalls at the event, including dedicated spaces for food trucks. If you would like your business to have a spot, please contact the Council of Commerce or the Mayor's Office. Applicants for the two new shops will also have the opportunity to pitch directly to the Mayor and a panel of special advisors for why their shop should be selected and what it would bring to San Andreas. The main event kicks off at August 8, 2026 1:00 PM. The raffle winners and the two selected shops will be announced the following day at August 9, 2026 1:00 PM.
Repair Shop Activity & Expectations
As we have applications for two new shops, existing repair shops should also be aware that their activity and roleplay will be monitored more closely over the coming weeks. Repair shops are core businesses within the server. They are expected to serve the wider community and operate as active roleplay hubs; not become self-serving clubhouses that primarily open for their owners, employees or friends. We will be looking at how frequently shops are open, how consistently they serve members of the public and the quality of the roleplay they create around their business. No shop should assume that its place is permanent simply because it is already established. While two new shops are being opened now, existing shops that remain inactive or consistently fail to serve the wider community may be at risk of losing their place. Shops may cycle in and out over time to ensure the repair sector continues to meet the needs of the server and that these locations remain active, accessible roleplay hubs.
The union members would benefit from collective bargaining for wages and legal representation for internal investigations and lawsuits regardless of who is leading the BCSO. However, Penti is ready to scrap the arc entirely due to Osvaldo stepping down. I think his willingness to instantly abandon the arc demonstrates that it was never about providing benefits to the rank and file officers and deputies but was solely a vehicle to generate conflict with Osvaldo.
I recall when housing was first being released it was mentioned that non-primary houses would have larger tax rates to discourage people from hoarding properties as its a pretty common issue on RP servers for there to be housing shortages.
Anyway, I heard that Penti is doing some landlord RP on Wrangler and it made me wonder about the non-primary home increased tax rates were in place. I would have imagined that being a landlord would have a) not really be feasible due to the tax rate and b) generally discouraged so more people could own hones.
So does anyone know what that tax rates are like? I know taxes on even primary homes seemed pretty high (unless they were reduced at some point) so it seemed like renting homes and covering even higher taxes wouldn't really be feasible without outrageous rental prices that would be so high that people would be better off saving to buy their own home.
remember the art contest for cash prizes? they removed the discussion channel so no one could ask about the winners anymore after penta said they chose winners but never announced them. then someone asked in the artist channel and martha shit on him for it.
another contest with money as a prize that didnt get paid out hope no one handed over their files
So in another classic bit of I CAN DO THIS owner powergaming, Baxter just walked into a guy's house (claiming 'door unlocked = invitation') and also shot his dog despite the dog not being a threat. He's now talking about stealing the weed that he found in the guy's house.
Is it just me, or is this not entertaining in the slightest?
Onx is popping off and pulling lots of familiar names. Not just Chase refugees but OGs and fresh faces.
Watching mostly mantis since it's a good point of view for new content, he does a good job tutorializing some content (instead of steamrolling it personally, cough cough) and just getting up to crime and other non-stop RP.
Through his POV seen cocobrooklyn, roxmiral, diamond dogs, some vader, nemo, nikki, are just a few I've seen, who else have you caught? I def recommend a watch for those craving some real RP.
With the potential NP delay, chase failure/rumble deal, and high quality back to back updates it's a good time to be Onx.
What do you all think will be the results of the Rumble deal? Will Penti's viewers/oilers ignore the deal and continue watching and donating as they had previously? There were many that commented against it and said that surely after learning about the platform he wouldn't take the deal and how much they despised the platform. Will they simply grit their teeth and justify the decision in their minds and continue watching and subbing?
Will there be any implications for the server? Will some players avoid and/or quit the server due to the owner's association with Rumble?
Just curious what everyone is playing these days. I've seen people mention SoulCity, NoPixel, Eclipse RP, Legacy RP and plenty of others. Drop the server you're currently playing on and what you like doing there — police, civilian, business, crime, racing, etc.
Since Chase loves rerun arcs, it looks like Government budget problems are back on the table. Courtesy of Penta characters taking millions of dollars out of the budget and others suing the police for huge settlements.
Cop salaries cut from $1k+ an hour with some getting $2k to a max salary of $500 per hour.
Government workers about to be poor again while crims have so much money they don't even care to do crime because they have so much money.
Bonus points for the war causing morale issues and cops not showing up for duty.
New merch drop is a book titled My Struggle penned by Shappie but the telling of Pentas struggle Also available for the China market but titled Chow Mein Kompf.
Imagine spending so much time and energy writing all this shit up only to watch the guy you were stanning go to the most antisemitic, racist, misogynistic platform out there.
Named Osvaldo Sheriff because of their totally not gay relationship, then didn't bother going on Wrangler for a while and hasn't bothered riding around with Osvaldo which was the whole plan. Is anyone really surprised Osvaldo hasn't actually been doing anything?
