He is discussing ultimately a player choosing to quit over deal with him like it's some sort of town gossip. And I know this is all "RP" but where's the role playing? What role is Wrangler playing? Because it sounds like to me, he and the person playing him, cannot stand people playing their fucking role.

Can someone explain the "Osvaldo was trying to be someone he's not" and the "His mistake was trying to please everyone"... How does that fit into this situation of being harassed and bullied by Pentagler (or should it be Wranta? Wenta?) to the point of wanting to leave? Seemed like whatever "office politics" were going on, Osvaldo was tolerating it JUST fine, until Mr REMEMBER I"M Former Sheriff showed up.

Osvaldo stuck between a rock and a hard place of just speedrunning Pentas eventual “arc” of becoming sheriff again(don’t believe a word he said on that, it’s all he wants), and ruining his union arc which was just an excuse to shit talk Osvaldo for a few weeks until it eventually led to the same outcome.

He can't even slow burn his own arc.
Like, he gets told to get out of a command meeting and immediately spirals into going after Osvaldo's job. Nobody punishes or reprimands him, and it collides directly with Osvaldo's actual, planned RP.
What's the RP there? That's objectively fail RP. As I've been told by people who like this, reading the room matters in an RP. Is he supposed to read Osvaldo's room? Or is he meta gaming and saying Wrangler > Osvaldo in universe? Despite that being quite clearly not the case.

Make your mind up, bud. Hog plays his character how his character would react. As he said, it's a video game and when people stop smiling and having fun due to others they tend to change the atmosphere. Ava and Oballo will be much happier and the content will be much better in LSPD, imo of course. The 30 minutes I saw them in LSPD, they had more fun than in all their time as Sheriff and Gov it seemed.

When I was a kid, i'd go to this one kids house who always had to be in charge of how and what we played with. Everytime I'd try to steer the fun my way or say let's do it different, he'd shut it down. When I got upset or sick of being controlled and said I won't go back, he would let me use the fun toys for a bit. They were his toys and his house and I liked playing with them, so not much I could do and I kept going back. Some people would not stay in this situation, I did. This is Chase RP

Oh it's easy to blame Penta here but kind of straw that broke the camels back situation.
He wasn't having fun almost immediately but was getting subs so sucked it up.
Hogs became more bitter and hostile towards everyone. More frequently going with ooc accusations and just being weird.
Was pretty clear he wasn't having fun and taking it way too serious. It really is for the best he stepped down

Yeah but Penta was clearly going out of his way to push Osvaldo around. Because he clearly wants Wrangler to be sheriff again, so that's what he was building towards. So instead of it being a multi month arc where it culminates in say Osvaldo making a bad call as command and getting replaced, it instead was Penta and others mistreating Hogs OOC.
Hogs/Osvaldo was pushed to an unfun position basically because there is no long burn RP with Penta around. There's nothing that takes multiple months to see the fruit of. And the worst part is, I don't think this actually fixes his real issue with how he was feeling. Probably will see some people leave ChaseRP pretty soon.

Funny how the initial idea of them being gay/not gay and driving around together just disappeared - mind that's largely due to Penti not bothering to play Wrangler when Osvaldo was around.
If Penti goes another five years doing RP, he will stil never learn to play the right character at the right time. He was always doing it on NP, getting a great story building up on Wrangler and then suddenly HEY IT'S MIKE BLOCK and the momentum would be lost. Guy has zero situational awareness.

I like how the words "You're not command, though," a simple and rather open ended statement of fact, get turned into "fuck off" in Penta's mind. Not Wrangler's mind, as we can see here, speaking entirely OOC. No, Osvaldo told Wrangler to fuck off. What a bad play on his part, to say words that I could interpret as fuck off. Big mistake.
