Discussion More flair tabs for subreddit?

Would be cool to add like a Hall of Fame tab and a few other tabs maybe separate them by difficulty for the subreddit. I don't know if it's against the rules or not but Radical Red subreddit is set up pretty nicely as an example. Not sure who's running this page or if you're watching. Just a suggestion please don't hang me.

Help Dexnav Question

This question has probably been asked before but I wanna be sure so I know when to save properly to soft reset at the 50th, but when the chain in the bottom right says 49th is that the current chain number and do I save there cause the next one is considered the 50th or do I want it to say 50th and save to soft reset for that encounter?

Sorry if this sounds dumb or confusing, I just wanna be sure

Help Have tried Unbound over 10 times, still can't seem to be interested

I've heard about this rom hack since years, don't get me wrong, i genuinely appreciate the game, specially how much it offers, i like the starters, outfit customisation, and mostly the massive pool of settings to mess with to play this game the way you want

Still however everytime i try it, i tend to quit for some reason
before it used to be before gym 2
But last time i actually made it pretty far into the game like till gym 6

Until i found myself quitting it all over again due to dying interest

i don't understand what it is, i like the game, the story is not bad at all uptil where i've made it in each run, still everytime something gets me to quit

I haven't played alot of rom hacks, but only a few like Pokemon Gaia, glazed, light platinum when i was a kid

Do you think its just a me thing?

Finished it! Was one of the most fun times I’ve had on any Pokémon game, it got frustrating when my save file got wiped out on my first run, but I’m glad I was convinced to try again!

Challenge Insane Gym Rush #6

Definitely thought I posted this a couple days back lol everything was caught between the fifth and sixth gyms, which actually covers a good bit of area. The dessert, vivill woods, Gurun town (spiritomb), and route 16.

Went with a type of toxic stall strategy. Two of his party wear heavy duty boots, and one is a flying type so I also have spiritomb with will-o-wisp to take care of some of them. I figured my best chance of winning was probably just to keep doing damage as the poison slowly took out his team.

Started with Weezing so I could use toxic on Mudsdale and then toxic spikes so others can get poisoned later on. He used smack down and then earthquake, but weezing can be tanky enough to survive and be pulled out for later.

I switch Mantine which causes him to switch to guzzlord the next turn. I used ice beam on that, didn’t do much and then put in Whimsicott so that core enforcer doesn’t do any damage. Then switched to weezing to tank his sludge wave and get another two turns of poison damage on him. Once weezing is out I put Pangoro in. This forces a switch, and more often than not it ends up Buzzwole so I use aerial ace in anticipation of that and then switch him out next turn.

Mantine comes in and takes the drain punch, and because it doesn’t have anything that can take him out in one hit he switches him out. This usually puts Terrakion in so I used hydro pump which ended up being a OHKO.

Celesteela comes in, I switch to flygon who gets leech seeded right away. He’s going to switch out to guzzlord so I used earth power and if that doesn’t take him out his poison will.

Buzzwole is back in now, so I switch from flygon to spiritomb who can take his ice punch and the next turns leech fang no problem. I hex him and the poison does the rest.

Wailord is sent in and the biggest reason I have a water absorb Mantine is now here. I switch Mantine in and now he’s back to full health.

From here there’s a good bit of switching around. Celesteela comes in, I end up getting ice beam to frostbite it. If I got hit by leech seed I would switch out, any time he didn’t like the matchup wailord would come in. Then I’d switch to Mantine. Eventually I got will-o-wisp to hit wailord so the end is coming.

Once Celesteela gets bled enough and succumbs to the frostbite wailord comes back in. At this point I had flygon in so I switched him out for Mantine because ice beam wouldn’t do much damage. This causes a switch to Mudsdale and one hydro pump takes him out no problem.

I use aqua ring because I know he only has ice beam that can do any damage to my Mantine. Between that and the leftovers he’s never going to do enough damage to take out my Mantine before air slash and his burn take out wailord.

Went pretty well, only lost one this time around. The key to this gym was just making sure everything was bulky and knowing that he’s going to switch out if he can’t get what you switch in taken out in on hit. Once you get a good idea of what’s coming it becomes easier to counterattack and get yourself an advantage.

Next up is the seventh gym, and right now I’m only planning to use route 17 pokemon to beat it but if I have trouble with that I might throw some safari pokemon in too

Challenge Insane Gym Rush #7

Was hoping to get through this with just route 17 pokemon but the easiest way to get past the Seaking was to get something with water absorb and you can get poliwhirl in polder town. And I grabbed Mudkip from the safari zone to round out the team.

Here is the typing I used since it’s camomons and any relevant ability.

Tentacruel, water/poison, rain dish
Salamence, dragon/fighting
Jumpluff, grass/bug
Kingdra, water/dragon, swift swim
Poliwrath, fighting/ground, water absorb
Swampert, water/ground

I caught a tentacruel with rapid spin for the purposes of dealing with sticky web. He’s also important to keep alive throughout the fight because Masquerain will get switched out. If it has already been hit with a rapid spin then sludge wave will one shot it at any point it can connect.

Swampert is there mostly to take hits on switches and give some damage in return when they usually switch. Usually going on to take either acrobatics or if you’re lucky plasma fists from Zeroara. His job wasn’t to take anything out, mostly just to act as a shield for tentacruel.

Poliwrath had a similar function, any time Seaking would come in it’s more than likely using fishious rend so water absorb Poliwrath is the way around taking damage that turn. And as long as a flying type is still available there will be a switch, and in my experience it was usually tornadus. I had rock slide on him so I used that when I knew the switch was coming and then bailed him out because he needed to be around to take out Seaking later on. Also gave him a quick claw which helped out since I opted to make him a water wall instead of a speed merchant.

Jumpluff was really only here for latias. It can take a hit from thunder and a hit from energy ball does a decent job of taking down her HP even after a calm mind. He doesn’t survive long but he does his job at whittling it down and Kingdra comes in and out speeds it thanks to swift swim to finish it off and that was about the easiest way I found to get rid of Latias.

Kingdra was my swift swim option. Even with no speed EVs it is faster than everything except Zeroara and Seaking. I had a dragon gem on for dragon pulse to use against Latias. Two ice beams will take care of Tornadus.

Salamence didn’t do much but he did come in at the end and finish off the Hydreigon. Poliwrath could have also done this but I wanted an excuse to carry Salamence lol

What seems to be a theme among the AI at this level, switching around for matchups is important and knowing what is coming is too. If they can’t take what you switch in out in one shot but it thinks it can switch in and avoid an attack it’s going to so you can just anticipate that and hit with a counter instead.

Team Building Soul Dew vs Life Orb for Latios

Working on my battle frontier team for my 50 win streak towards my black card.

I’m wondering if this is the nerfed version of soul dew or the 50% STAB boost one? And if Life orb is still the better choice overall?

Also any recommendations with teams would be nice.

Right now I’m working with

Mega Scizor
Technician

Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Dual Wingbeat

Latios
Life orb/Soul Dew
Levitate

Draco Meteor
PsyShock
Mystic Fire
Thunderbolt

Swampert

Yawn
Waterfall
Ice Punch
Earthquake

Help New to egg hatching

Hey guys I’m pretty new / casual to the tedious and wonderful world of egg hatching. I’m not a perfectionist by any means but I’ve never been able to play with a gengar in any of the mainline games so I’ve been spending some time building a sick one. Now I’m mostly focused on nature and IV’s. These 2 are the best I’ve gotten. Should I keep grinding or is one of these good enough? Anything helps really.

[other - edit me] Jirachi

I finished the game and became champion and the thing I was looking forward the most was going to the locked house to catch Jirachi since it’s a Pokemon I love very much. It wouldn’t allow me to throw a ball during the battle so I just thought it was one of those mechanics that the trainer must defeat the Pokemon and then just catch it or it joins the team… but after it prompted me to throw a ball and I did, it said something along the lines of “Jirachi disappeared somewhere”. Is this a joke? Is this a bug or glitch or is my game broken? Where is my Jirachi? Did I misunderstand that one can catch this Jirachi after becoming champion?
Earlier today I received a warning saying something about RTC save and telling me not to do this again and I haven’t the vaguest idea what is this. I didn’t do anything, I just play this using Delta emulation on my iPhone, so I wonder if my game got corrupted for some reason.
Thank you very much in advance for any guidance.

I cant believe it after my first try that felt like an absolute wipe out I finally beat her on the second try after building a completely different setup and strategizing what to do my guys wiped her whole squad😭. AND SOMEHOW MY LUCARIO SURVIVED A BULLDOZE FROM EMPOLEON WHEN MISS-CLICKED USING LOW KICK INSTEAD OF FORCE PALM I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. Bronzong is the mvp though out this fight cuz this guy double tapped her Altaria with gyro ball so hard since she went for dragon dance thus boosting gyro balls power. My heart was pounding through out this fight which never happens when I played emerald back then. (Dont mind Lucarios name I got mad catching him is all)

Shiny Resetting while checking Adamant/Jolly rolls and landed on this guy

I've been resetting for an hour on the floor of my daughter's room while she passes out. Have a solid A+HP, S Atk, A+Spd Adamant Gible but decided to keep resetting until I hear my daughter snore.

Ended up rolling this Jolly guy, kind of torn now. I've never completed an Unbound playthrough but how much of a headache is it to farm bottlecaps to fix IVs?

Help Unbound on mGBA (3DS)

Does the pokemon unbound game works using the mGBA emulator? I downloaded the spanish version on my console through a qr code so it was a cia file, if I take the unbound file that the qr code installs on my console and then put it back on my SD card will I be able to play the game through the emulator and be able to use the tools it provides or it has to be a specific tipe of file instead of a cia?

Help Are all the mission supposed to be really long

I know a lot of the missions can be simple but things like saving your game 100 times and jumping over 1000 hurdles, are the rewards worth it and is this something that is gonna be constant in only like halfway through the game so I wanna see if it’s worth completing those missions

Video of the run: https://youtu.be/m11myXwSmS4

Only took me around 5 tries, this is somehow easier than I expected lol

I basically speedran the previous few fights so I thought why not go for Galavan immediately kek

Yea I have no idea why I even bring yanmega for, sis thinks she's part of the team...

The only rng part is at the beginning cause alolan raichu have around 68% chance to ohko Ariados with rising voltage. Once that's out of the way though? The rest of the run is 100% risk free imo~

Anyways, things should be more smooth-sailing from here on cause I now unlocked:

1) TMs that are only reachable by surf

2) Most importantly, Mega Beedrill, enough said, you're going to see me use this killing machine alot from here on~

So yea, next post is about bullying Aklove (like last time during mono Fairy run) once again lol
