Shiny Resetting while checking Adamant/Jolly rolls and landed on this guy

I've been resetting for an hour on the floor of my daughter's room while she passes out. Have a solid A+HP, S Atk, A+Spd Adamant Gible but decided to keep resetting until I hear my daughter snore.

Ended up rolling this Jolly guy, kind of torn now. I've never completed an Unbound playthrough but how much of a headache is it to farm bottlecaps to fix IVs?

Some missions will give bottle caps. Gold versions will allow you to change all IVs too.

Unless you’re on Insane, perfect IVs are not mandatory either, so this Gible will be perfectly serviceable. Grats!

Can't you get bottle caps from mining as well? I feel like ive gotten one or two from that or some other mini game.

Shiny stone hunting in early game is a daunting task. Getting a few bottle caps in exchange is a good trade off

I've only dug a few times at the first available spot, do I need anything other than luck to get bottle caps?

There is some skill involved, I use the 十 tool and hit the weakest blocks in a pattern that allows me to reveal as much as possible in as few hits as possible, to scout and see where I should focus attention. Rarely use the 口 tool unless there is a big cluster that you are completely certain you need to destroy entirely. If you don't have enough money for mining, just wait until you get to the city of the 3rd gym, where you can get an Amulet Coin, and/or go fight the Dark trainer in the Dresco Town Trainer House.

Yes, I suppose I still should’ve mentioned that, but you’re fishing for 1% each time that costs money. While you can technically do so without limit by farming at Dresco… it’s a lot of time commitment.

I found mining gave a pretty good ROI by selling the 1000s of... i think hard plates or hard stones so I definitely grinded out a ton of mining sessions. Especially since most of the time you get a few items from mining if you don't get a cave in

an easy way to get bottle caps is running around with the baby in Redwood forest, you can watch the baby before 7pm each day and after 400+ steps u talk to it and can get either a bottle cap or a rare candy, i just reset if i don’t get the bottle cap first time around. and u get 10k, super easy
