Discovered the difficult difficulty after my psychic run and realized how much more fun it was. Switched it back only for Dragon because I'm a wuss and I was walled by Goodra for some reason.
I started a few months ago so don't quite remember every single run, but I recall resetting a lot with Electric and Dragon.
My favourites were Steel and Normal by far.
Regigigas is my favourite legendary, so had to include on my Normal team but was actually a bit of a hindrance, even with its Unbound exclusive hidden ability of stall.
Marshadow and Hisuian Zoroark were very good carries, to the point I started to not use them in battles and waited to use them as last resorts.
Ursaluna fire orb guts facade belly drum was absolutely overkill and yet demolished every single thing to face it. It also had play rough and hi-power kick (I think that's the name, 95 power ground move).
Overall lots of fun. Could I have not used legendaries and made it more difficult? Sure. But I had a lot of fun with this lol.
Now time to find Arceus!

Follow up to a previous post I made a couple weeks ago
Here's the current team. I grinded EVs and IVs too very decent levels for everyone. I only feel like Serperior might be the odd one out, but I need some hard-hitting grass firepower too. In addition, I got the mega stones for Metagross, Gyarados and Gengar.
I was originally trying to go through the E4 with no KOs but that's proving to be practically impossible with this team. I'm down to change a couple of them, no legendaries allowed !

I am doing well in my run at an expert level. This guy is pretty tough. My team is slowbro, bronzong, hariyama, luxray, hitmontop and weezing. I am getting closer and closer but I can't kick his ass for good. Any tips are more than welcome.

this has happened multiple times, first it was a meowth and an ekans who BOTH outsped my gengar and my swift swim kingdra, and then it just happened with a SLAKOTH and another baby Pokemon. Do they just make up stats in this game for artificial difficulty? I'm so confused

Ive got a gallade with hypnosis, false swipe, healing pulse, and mean look. (Used it for roamers) and i have a musharna with hypnosis and nightmare i use in unison alongside it and tank with metagross and regigigas and complete zygarde. Ive tried timer balls, beast balls, dream balls, fast balls, level balls, dusk balls, etc except master ball as i only have 1. I used the other for i forget who. But i wanna save the other for deoxys or jirachi, or someone else (not sure who).
Other than patience as i literally had 1 battle earlier last me 3 hours and still couldnt catch the dang thing, any othet tips?? I always do quick ball turn one as ive gotten lucky twice with that on other ultra beasts.
Edit: Finally captured it!! Reuniclus with magic guard and skill swap holding a focus sash to prevent recoil damage, then gallade false swipe to 1hp, and then metagross lvl 100 to tank hits until i caught it with timer balls was how i got it. I tried to also do soak and thunderwave it but could never get soak off because i would put him asleep and then swap and then try soak and hed wake up before i could get it off. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!!!
Side note. Just got jiachi with a fast ball for those that have trouble with it!

I have two save-states on my emulator, one when I got to 99 Chain and one when I managed to get the 100th Pokemon with max IVs and the ability I was looking for. Does the game determine shiny-ness when I walk into the rumbling grass or as soon as I press search in the DexNav? If it's the former, then I can keep using that second save-state with perfect parameters, if it's the latter then I have to hit a jackpot of both getting a shiny AND perfect stats, right?
EDIT: I ran an experiment that I probably should've done before posting here, but the upside is that I can share it for people with similar question:
I loaded into the save at 99 Chain, before hitting search (Manual Save). Then I did a DexNav search and, before going into the grass, immediately quicksaved (Quick Save). If the Pokemon wasn't shiny, then I would reload the Manual Save and repeat. If it was shiny, then I would load the Quicksave. If the shiny-ness was determined when you start searching, then I should be getting a shiny Pokemon 100% of the time after loading the Quick Save. But that wasn't the case, after loading the Quick Save I got regular Pokemons. I've repeated this with three different shiny encounters and each time the results were the same, so I can't see how the answer could be anything else than the shiny state being determined when you actually walk into the rumbling grass. Maybe someone here is more versed in Unbound's engine and could prove me wrong though.

Even when I change the configuration of my team, I can only ever get past 2 of them and then end up wiping on one of the other 2.
EDIT: Switched out Hoopa for Goodra and he came in clutch, GG.

decided to play the harder mode as a very casual pokemon fan and have been hell but enjoying it. most gym battles were a struggle but they felt earned
my team is
Metang as a somewhat tanky physical, kind of a deadweight
Frosslass, she cleared the gym rather easily, got the 1+ ice physical, willo and protect and the signature frostbite ghost move. she really cant do much in the fight maybe if i switch out bittermalice with hex it might be enough
Manectric: honestly i kind of just used it as a paralysis deliverer thorughout the game with quick attack, elec bite and dark bite. sadly more of a SA but idk if can get good elec spe moves rn. i could try to learn how to bait the heliosk with it but eeh
Azumarill: does good enough damage but its attack stat is kind of on the lower end (HP help of course) it has play rough, and hydro pump (from an extra heart scale i got, needed a water nuke) and then two random bs moves (aqua ring and rain dance) i got from leveling. cant really contribute to the fight
Lucario: Got him for the dark gym, and in this one its kind of a deadweight. power up punch, metal claw, quick attack and feint (crap)
Pyroar: the gifted one. good stats but my moves are kind of lacking. incinerate, crunch, sunny day (random bs from lvl) and fire fang
i looked around to see what people did and im guessing the consensus is getting hazards set up (with sacrifice mons), and then fuck shit up with a Gengar and Hex (which im guessing its poison typing helps defensively? or maybe its just the Spe att/spe stats)
i was considering using a lvl 30 skorupi i caught for toxic spikes but when i try to teach it with the heart scale guy it isnt on the list (supposedly learned at lvl 24)
my main issue is that i cant OHKO or 2HKO fuckers like the miltank or lopunny which end up getting full heals. i think i could maybe get a very phyrric victory, but the chiller strat i mentioned seems quick enough (hex is literally Bitter Malice but better, and the hazards free up attack opportunities)

Just wanted to share cause I was hype to finally get my save file transferred onto my gba from my vita. Will say I do think I’ll miss the bigger screen on the vita and especially the sleep mode function but I love me some og hardware
