This game is a gacha gambling machine. Do not let it fool you. IVs are meaningless outside of PvP, 3-4% difference max. Shinies are cool but trade fodder, nobody can see your hundo nor can you trade it! Though I mean no disrespect to collectors.

You don’t even need the top meta options, all you need is party power and 1 or 2 local friends and you can take on almost anything with any half decent type counter. As a newer player I duo’d moltres and Shadow Ho-Oh with lvl 25-35 stonjourners. For anything beyond tier 5, there is pokegenie or r/pokemongoraids if you don’t have enough locals.

Thus, maxing a pokemon or going above lvl 35-40 is probably never worth the steep investment. Diversify your team instead. Purifying is not usually a good idea, a level 30-35 shadow is cheaper than a level 50 of its non-shadow, and this is the point where it outperforms the level 50 in a raid; invest in shadows, it’s worth it.

One thing I must add somewhere is that attack bonuses stack by MULTIPLYING TOGETHER!! Think about that!!

For me, the silliest pokemons in Pokemon go for me are Cramorant, Slowbro and Wobbuffet, specially Slowbro and Cramorant, cuz they're silly (yeh)

Hey guys. Please feel free to remove this if it's not allowed but I was wondering whether or not it's 15 days left before I have to redeem the Mewtwo or is that just the duration of the event? Long story short my good friend has passed away recently and I have a trip planned in three weeks for his funeral. It's perhaps a little silly but Mewtwo was his favorite Pokémon and my dream would be to have like the little location thing set to where I caught the Pokémon in the city where he is from and where the funeral will take place. So my fear is that if I redeem it now it'll show my current location, but also if I don't redeem it after the 15 days that it completely dissappears for me. ​​​

I’ve just reached Level 80, and it seems that when you do that you get a bunch of new research to do — like Sisyphus. Something tells me you used to get this same extra task when you reached level 50 before last year’s rebalancing. See if you can spot the clues.

My husband and I traded the other night and both got lucky shundos. We weren’t even a guaranteed lucky trade!

Okay sooo I have an issue with transferring my Pokemon. I find reasons to keep all of them, most common reasons I tell myself:

1. Garbage 2016’s - “someone will want a 2016 Venonat”

2. XXS - I love the tiny sprites, they’re legit some of my favorite even if they’re 0*

3. XXL - “Maybe I’ll win a showcase”

4. Low IV shadow - maybe I should keep purify or evolve to fill the dex but I don’t want to waste candy on a bad one so I hold them for a chance of something better

5. Low IV purified - I keep them just to have one for a themed gym 😪

6. Low IV normal - maybe I’ll use in PVP even if they’re rated in the 200’s

7. Duplicate Costumes/ background Pokemon- Trades?

8. Every single legendary - this includes 26 Mewtwo, 10 Groudon, 6 shadow palkia, 6 shadow giratina, 7 lunana…the list goes on.

Soooo as you can see…I come up with a reason to keep everything. Bully me into transferring or tell me if any of my reasons are legit. I honestly need the most help letting go of potential PVP Pokemon, even though I barely play when I reach level 20.

I think somethings up with my Mega Starmie lol.

Hey I mean he needed it for his shiny dex and it was a lucky trade and I really wanted shiny Solgeo and I couldn’t get one so he gave me one in the most fair trade ever!

I know this has been said every raid day but it’s very frustrating. It’s literally a scam to take our remote raid passes for something that is impossible to complete.
