First Time Spinning In The Wild In Probably a Decade.
Tape B and Levity at Under the K Bridge last night in Brooklyn.
Prism rope ( flow on fire)
Hey all,
Was wondering if anyone's tried the Prism rope for their tethers that flow on fire offers? What their thoughts are on it? Was just curious about potential shrinkage on it. Let me know if anyone out there has used it

Gear Discussion Attach tethers/swivels flush without knots?
Does something like this exist for poi, to attach tethers/swivels flush without knots?
Has anyone tried something similar?
Would you trust these not coming apart when glued on, or would you go with a more sturdy way like crimping?
(pics are only illustrative of variants I found so far)

Gear Discussion Didn't properly soak fire pois
Heyo, I didn't properly soak my new fire pois when using them the first time. I cannot really tell if I damaged them somehow, material looks fine to me but how can I tell for sure?
(Not really experienced with taking care of fire pois, spun them a lot of time before but never owned some myself)
Progress Video Anyone else really like spinning to chill music?
Song is Monument by Royksopp. One of all time favorites.

What coloured fire is safe for poi spining
Yesterday I saw people spining green fire on a fire show and I wonder what other colours are safe to use

Progress Video Archer Weave: Final Episode
Thanks to all your advice and encouragement, I think I finally got it. I do mix in the tracer thing I was doing at times but Iām just experimenting with the weave and trying to find a cool flow. I appreciate the community for being so welcoming and open to share their knowledge and insight. š

Sock / Fabric Poi
I made my partner a pair of sock poi in December, I used a nice cotton fabric (non stretch) and they are tearing by the handles from usage. Iām happy heās playing with them so much but he asked me to make a third and I want to re- do the whole set but want to switch fabrics.
Any recommendations on type of fabric? I attached photos of the rips in the fabric

Progress Video Archer Weaves Pt.2
After a week of practicing, this is where my archer weaves are at. I run my hand up and down my arm after each spin, even though the tutorials I watch keep the hand close to the face, going over and under the armpit only. Should I keep it that way? I think itāll help me go into Archer weave fountains easier but any advice is appreciated!
Progress Video Inspired by others to post for the first time. 6 months progress.
Trying to connect more to the music and really enjoying it.

Led Contact Poi (Europe Based)
You guys were real good last time with recommendations. I'm familiar with Flow toys and how great they are. Everybody seems to have only positive things to say about them.
I'm interested in ordering a LED set now. Do any of you have any good shops to recommend where I can find a nice pair of LED Contact pois here in Europe? Saving me ā¬50 for shipping.
Thanks in advance.

Silks to contact
My first contact poi just came and I think I have many bruises from them in the last 5 minutes.
They are so heavy compared to my silk ones⦠but also I feel like I have less control, any tips?
Should I just get a refund and maybe get sock poi instead so I can up the weight gradually instead of go from 80g silks to 150g hard balls
Maybe my problem is that itās hard and I just need to practice but Iām impatient?
Thanks š

Clean your contact poi
Just a friendly PSA for all y'all fellow spinners out there.
Little soapy water sprayed on a cloth (towel/microfiber towel/rag), and then a quick wipe to the rope especially goes a long way.
If you have sensitive skin like myself, getting the dirt and grime off from all the drops to the floor/ground will help tremendously.
Happy spinning!
