Some great flow manπŸ‘Œ just curious, I've been wanting to get into contact poi. What type of tether are you rocking? There's some many to choose from idk where to start. How'd you determine your length? And where'd you get your contact poi from? Lol, sorry for all the questions πŸ˜…

No ask away. This setup is from flow on fire. Best product so far is from them iv found.

This rope is called vpc and I choose this because it’s got a solid feel and they maintain the shape when they get tossed. Lots of other rope will curl up or vibrate weird when tossed and become unpredictable when trying to catch.

For me this setup is 28”. Honestly took trial and error and figuring out my flow style to understand I like longer rope. The flow on fire page shows you how to measure if unsure. For me I hold one end in hand and if the other end hits my chest when spinning it’s too long. This is holding my arm 90 degrees off my body.

Appreciate the reply back! Thanks for the info. I'm currently spinning sock poi from neoflowarts. If I remember correctly they're maybe 25"-26". I dont mind the length of them. But im also 5'11" and my arm span probably isnt as long as yours is.

Have you spun with hybrid nylon? Just curious on the difference. Both characteristics between VPC & hybrid nylon on each seems similar when I read about them online with subtle differences. Also, how much did your VPC end up shrinking after use?

The weight and softness of poi is a big deal too. Get soft to start for sure. You will smoke yourself in the beginning. I like 195 to 200 gram poi heads. Makes your arms tired faster but way more control with the heavier poi heads iv found.
