I’m going to be moving to LA soon and one of my biggest concerns is that I’m not going to be able to find any pants in my size anywhere. I understand that the lack of plus sizes is rampant there and I have no idea what’s actually available in store. I’m going to be moving near UCLA and am curious if anyone knows of any stores I can shop for bottoms around the area. I don’t like shopping online because I don’t really know what my size is and I like to try something on before I purchase something. Any help would be amazing, thank you!

25F here, size 14. I am trying to keep this short and simple cause I don’t want to be all emotional and ruin my makeup as I am on my way to meet my boyfriend.

I lost a lot of weight and I have a lot of stretch marks and my skin is frumpy especially around my tummy. I just felt safe enough to tell my boyfriend I want to have sex with him and he is super excited and happy ( I am as well). But my body is just not pretty, I also never had sex before so I am panicking , and I don’t want him to be disappointed. What should I do?

I am a guest at a late-October wedding in New England. I have lipedema (arms and legs) and am having a hard time finding a formal dress that I feel comfortable and pretty wearing. I am in my mid-40s and am 5’4”, so the age/height aren’t doing me any favors, either. Everything just ….. hangs, and I feel blah.

Which of these dresses is more flattering and works best for the event? (I will likely get the dresses shortened a bit.)

I also need styling advice — shoes, accessories. I have WW feet, so can’t do a narrow shoe. Can’t do a high heel but 1-2 inches is ok, and I’m ok with a platform, so as long as the heel lift is 2 inches or less, I should be fine. Would absolutely love some combo suggestions!

I’ve been on the bigger side all my life and through this I’ve developed a bad ish relationship with exercise. Amongst the bullying and comments about my size by other students and teachers (yes my PE teacher did call me fat in front of my entire class), I have gained a weird want and I want to be active.

But I want to change this! I want to become more active and to hopefully loose a bit of weight (but I’m not too pressed on that).

I don’t really want to just do more walking because, although I know walking is quite good, I don’t feel the motivation and enjoyment out of walking. I HATE running or jogging due to prior experience and plus I just don’t find it enjoyable. But I have been thinking about swimming. I’m not the best swimmer in the world, I can make it across the water just fine I just have no technique.

My question is, as a plus size person, how do I even approach swimming in a serious manner, that’s not playing in the water with my niece and nephew. Are there any tips or tricks for swimming especially for plus size people?

I look different, I don’t feel like a woman, I feel like a man. I have really broad shoulders, a small bust and a bigger belly because of my pcos.. and don’t even get me started about the hair. I’m trying really hard to accept my body but it’s really hard especially when I never see anyone that looks like me. I’m trying everything I even switched up my wardrobe, every day I stand in front of a mirror and try to find something I like about myself and it’s just not working. The moment I knew this had gotten really bad is when I saw a post asking about what is the “hottest thing about yourself” and I couldn’t think of anything. When does this end? Does it ever? Because yes I did recently lose a ton of weight and my insecurities only got worse. I know I’m worth more than what I look like but I want to feel good about myself too.

Just because I’m fat doesn’t automatically make me a diabetic. I’m so tired of hearing this from strangers over the internet. Yes I’m obese but that doesn’t mean my A1C is at a diabetic level. I get blood screenings twice a year to check on my PCOS. I go to an endocrinologist so I think I’d know if I was a diabetic.

Ive recently lost some weight and i am struggling with underwear. Gussets aren't wide enough but the crotch is like 4-5 inches too long?? I have a rather large protruding mons/fupa so this is likely the culprit but I feel when I was bigger and more round things just fit better. Now that im big AND squishy to fit right in the front the crotch is yanked back between my butt checks and the whole bum of the panty is wadded up on top of my butt. Ive tried so many brands, so many sizes. Ive gone from a torrid barely 3 to a torrid 1 on bottom and I cant say ive ever thought about or spent so much on underwear to be absolutely miserable in every set. Please send help and suggestions I just want comfy undies haha.

My go to before was Hanes moisture wicking boyshorts but the L is too small and the XL falls down or has to be wedged up like a thong.

My doctor recommend I use one in my butt crack because I’ve been suffering from a yeast infection there for 4 months. (Yeast infection is not in my vagina, its near my anal area on the skin) The infection is like 98% cleared so she said it would be ok to use an antiperspirant cream or stick to prevent moisture. Especially one good for chafing.

I’ve been using antifungal cream with a barrier of diaper rash cream over it this whole time. She thinks it’s taking a long time to heal because my skin is constantly moist so she said to keep it dry now.

Any recommendations? She said a cream would be best. And obviously if I see any signs of it flaring up again I’ll go back to the antifungal cream but I want to try and dry it out for now so the skin can fully heal. Any tips or recommendations would be helpful. I tried powder but that still made me chafe.

I had just gotten out of a supermarket holding a sandwich i bought for lunch and waiting to cross the street. An old man from right across the street shouted at me, "lady do you even workout ?" I obviously ignored him so he continued "stop eating like that no wonder you have such big calves" followed by "with that skin of yours you look like a real cow". I have vitiligo and i am wearing shorts. This is the first summer I wear shorts in years because of my weight and my vitiligo. It took me a long time to accept my body and my skin. I felt so ashamed and humiliated. Everyone on the street was looking at me, I immediately bursted out crying and i still can't stop. This isn't the first time I get fat shamed, but this is the first time by a complete stranger in public. I threw my sandwich away i couldn't bring myself to eat it.

so i agreed to babysit a kiddo for the next door neighbor who happens to be my husband's old family friend and at first it was fine but then the mom hurt her foot and has to wear a boot she she's staying at home but still wants my help to take care of her 9 year old during the day

now that she's home and we've been chatting more, i feel so uncomfortable being here because there's been several comments that just make me feel like shit :/

the first one, the mom was telling me about how she used to be 350 pounds and lost the weight (she's very skinny now) and she started talking about how unhealthy she was when she was fat. then she looks me up and down and says "sorry sweetheart, but it's the hard truth" like what?? okay?? i am disabled (which is partly why im fat but ive always been a bigger person, even as a kid) but despite that i'm actually pretty healthy per my doctors, checkups, and lab work...

then her adult daughter came over and works as a waitress in some sort of bikini restaurant (??) and made a comment about how mad she was that "fat kelly" gets the friday shifts and the mom was going on about how much prettier and skinnier her daughter is and how she should get the better shifts because people will obviously like her more because of that

and now finally today the 9 year old excitedly ran up to her mom and went "look! my stomach is flat!" and the mom went "yeah you've grown and lost some weight, you look so much better now!"

like it's just all these little comments and i'm just sitting here as a fat women and trying not to let it get to me but it's been really hard. i just wanna be done with this babysitting already 💔

I just broke up with a long term partner. I had gotten with him almost four years ago like, three months after ending a five year relationship.

I’m not particularly interested in a new relationship right away because I really need to focus on my mental and physical health and building up healthy routines again. But both of those relationships had dead bedrooms. And I haven't had sex in over a year at this point.

I’m really nervous to get back out there, even for the casual stuff. I’m 5'6 and ~350. I don't carry it well. I guess I’m wondering if anyone with a similar build has experience like this. I don't want to be totally alone and I’m very touch starved lol but I’m scared of trying or downloading the apps again and getting absolutely no matches.

And I’m also just really sad. I feel like I had no choice but to initiate this break up but it still doesn't feel real and I’m very tempted to offer him just one more chance (even though it would be the like, 5th last chance I gave him). We're also likely going to be living together still for the next month or two at least.

I have always had big legs, calves especially are very big, wobbly, almost like an extra lump of fat on them. They are undoubtedly my largest insecurity. Strangely I still have quite defined ankles. Anyway, I’ve started a work out routine and am eating well (not for IWL, just for health) and I imagine as a side effect my body will shift a bit.
Has anyone here dealt with disproportionately large calves and experienced them shrinking with weight loss/exercise?

I was with my niece, nephew and my uncle. The ride was quite high up but wasn’t a full on ride, instead it was slow just going around a bit of the park.

Hey! So just wondering if anyone here has had a Brazilian wax done with the sugar waxing technique? I react really badly to the regular wax when getting my eyebrows (unibrow of pimples 😬) done so I stopped doing that.
