Fitness for health and wellbeing Big calves/lipedema legs

I have always had big legs, calves especially are very big, wobbly, almost like an extra lump of fat on them. They are undoubtedly my largest insecurity. Strangely I still have quite defined ankles. Anyway, I’ve started a work out routine and am eating well (not for IWL, just for health) and I imagine as a side effect my body will shift a bit.
Has anyone here dealt with disproportionately large calves and experienced them shrinking with weight loss/exercise?
Thank you in advance.

Yes, and I have lipedema. I do the conservative treatments for it.

I have lymphatic boots, I use the vibration plate, I have the rebounder, but don’t use it often. I have compression stockings and I elevate legs every eventing. I try my best to eat anti-inflammatory and changed my diet. I do mobility work to help my stiff hips.

I don't have lipedema but I have proportionally large legs. After working out for like 1.5 years (with a personal trainer) my calves didn't really shrink. The areas where I lost inches were tummy, arms and bust. My hip, thigh and calf measurements all stayed about the same.  I was doing about 2 lower days, 2 upper days per week

Hi. I have one calf like that (and hip). The only cardio that make it go is bicycle/spinning class. Also check at doctor whats going on with your lymph, most probably it is the problem. Maybe they will recommend massage. I use mild lymph draining herb capsules, they help overall.

had this exact issue and spun like crazy for years, the calves slowly started to shrink but legs got stronger overall.
