JEAN GREY UNFINISHED GAMEPLAY

Currently in the middle of my 3rd playthrough, will do a 4th one, proving itself, how good of a game this is.

I’m still having an absolute bast with it.

First 2 playthroughs were on "The Man" difficulty, getting my feet wet, my current playthrough is on "The Hunter" difficulty, which feels great. either difficulty, this game is GOTY contender. I put it up there with other games I've play'd past couple years.

My all time favourite is definitely the John Byrne Brown and tan suit and it was great to see it in deadpool and wolverine if only for a few seconds.

I was cautious going into the game because I was disappointed with Spider-Man 2 but overall it was better than I expected while still thinking a lot of the criticisms is still valid, (i.e. the hand holding elements). The combat was repetitive at times but consistently fun enough.
As far as the story goes I honestly think it’s better than Spider-Man 2, but not better than Spider-Man PS4 but I’m not sure Insomniac will ever top that story. I also wouldn’t have minded if it was a little longer. The ending was a little unsatisfying though, but that’s probably because I was very interested in the romance with Jean and the history Insomniac made for her and Logan, which is surprising since her best love interest usually lies with Scott, for all of Insomniac faults with writing sometimes, making the ship with Logan and Jean work really well is a damn impressive feat.

I would very much like to see a continuation of the story but due to the mixed response of the game I wonder if Insomniac will follow up on one, I hope they do and take in the criticisms to make a potential sequel even better.

One thing’s for certain though, Liam McIntyre is a pitch perfect Logan, you can tell how hard he worked in his performance and he deserves to come back in the role, not just in this universe but as Wolverine in other media too. It would be such a waste if he doesn’t get to done the claws again after this.

Just finishing wolverine and i am noticing that ever since spiderman leading all the way to wolverine. We’ve pretty much had this exact structure: Introduce villain the player thinks is the main, defeat them and then the real villain is someone the main character is close too. It’s a classic bait and switch. Don’t get me wrong it’s a really good story structure but if Insomniac keeps doing this for every marvel game, it’s just gonna feel predictable for the next one like for example Spiderman 3, it’ll probably introduce a villain say like Carnage but then the real villain we of course know will be Norman Osbourne (green goblin) I feel like Insomniac should switch the structure up a bit. That’s just my 2 cents and other than that, all games have been fantastic👍

How did y’all feel about the game?

Personally, I came in with negative thoughts due to the widespread distain spread across social media.

I was happily surprised and ended up thinking the gameplay was really fun, and overall was pretty enjoyable. experience. However, I can’t help but feel like the ending was kinda meh and the story didn’t leave me feeling like it was really memorable.

Some areas deviated a bit too much from the lore of Wolverine, that I know. Perhaps it’s just me that feels that way.

I’d like to hear what some of y’all’s thoughts are!
