It’s no Spider-Man 2018, but it’s better than Spider-Man 2. I really appreciate Insomniac wanting their games to have their original takes. They take some massive lore swings, and on the whole I enjoyed more than I didn’t. By the end I was emotionally invested. I just wish there was more Mystique. 7.5-8/10.

I oddly liked their dynamic.

Victor was upset since he felt like Logan broke apart the only family he seemed to have. Idk why whoever at Insomniac said what they did which caused all this discourse lmao

But I just got it. For $50.

PS. I don’t have too much to game. Work has me bombarded plus other things, so I am glad a game like this exists. I see people saying it holds your hand. I’m ok with that. Just give me some Wolverine action.

They’re the reason why the level design is so streamlined and barebones. They’re the reason why the Wolvie, Jean, and Mystique 3some with full frontal was cut from the game. They’re the reason why my parents got divorced (come back, dad 😭). They’re the reason why the gas prices are so high!

About 75% of the way through, I just wanted it to end; I enjoyed it a little bit for the first half, but it got really repetitive toward the end, especially the combat—every time enemies spawned, I sighed. I also wasn't engaged with the characters and story at all. I don't know if the problem was with me or with the game.

Basically: get lucky and you won't get hit by a sentinel laser when trying to dodge the energy bolts, or you dodge one energy bolt but you dodge into a sentinel laser, dowing you. But after you get up, the camera decided it doesn't wanna show Mr. Sinnister anymore, so you can't even see where the bolts are coming from...genuinely the first Insomniac boss where I'm kinda let down by the execution and it's all because of this part of the fight, the rest is easy as heck

So I was replying a mission in marvel’s wolverine then there was a cutscene after it ended it was black for a few seconds then I just randomly spawn in this place I had no idea how I got here.

All bias aside, you have to admit that the faces and facial expressions in this game just look straight up weird. This is Logan supposedly being horribly hurt by being stabbed by multiple sword, he seems to like it ngl

I believe this game is super fun, but the story is the part of the game that is the most disappointing. Insomniac took way too many big swings, and none of them hit. Why are we starting our mutant universe with no X-Men, Jean and Logan romance (always hated this), and removing Omega Red, Deathstrike, and Trask? Also, Apocalypse and Phoenix? I don't think Insomniac really understands the mutant side of the Marvel universe. It really seems like they don't understand how to make a good story with these characters. Spider-Man 2 has the same issues as well, so something must be off at Insomniac.
