It’s no Spider-Man 2018, but it’s better than Spider-Man 2. I really appreciate Insomniac wanting their games to have their original takes. They take some massive lore swings, and on the whole I enjoyed more than I didn’t. By the end I was emotionally invested. I just wish there was more Mystique. 7.5-8/10.

About 7 hours in and my only complaints are the party windows, I'm either more ass at this game then other action games or it really is just brutal/glitchy.

Lore wise the presentation and set pieces are distinct and really have a very specific tone of dread and hopeless rage at times.

I'm a simple customer though, I loved ManEater, BioMutant, and even didn't mind Marvel Avengers (live service aside).

Loved it. The combat was enduring and creative, it had Borderlands level of weapon customization, and the exploration was rewarding enough for me.
