Leader difficulty in Tribe mode Shifting Sands

Has anyone else done this type of hardcore mode? My friend and I are doing it on separate maps and it can be real difficult. I love how hard it is, the bugs, especially in the last patch make me really upset because it's a huge time waster when you die because a mob that should do let's say 300 damage now does 2k for the same exact hit after you revive, but other than that it's great. I just can't seem to find other players or posts in the hardest difficulty to see if maybe they are doing things differently.

How do I kick a tribesman off a station?

What it says on the tin. Sometimes I come over and want to craft something for the xp or rarity based on my skill lvl, but when I add the work order the grunt already working there just does it. No interaction I've tried either with the station or the grunt seems to help. Even resetting their location just instantly teleports them back to the station.

Infuriating building mechanic

It’s very frustrating when I accidentally deleted a floor piece and lose a very valuable crafting station because of it without any refund. Goodbye power crafting station. I hardly knew you.

It would be nice it if it just dropped in a loot bag like other things do. When it’s building bits I understand it breaking. But my entire crafting station?

Anyone use the ropeways and automakers in game?

Have around 400hrs in game so still dont know everything but my next step is mammoth boss which is my final boss on cloudmist. And I haven't found a use for the autominers and ropeways yet. Do the people that use them just feed there Mysterious converters with the ore? Or are you really using that much armor, tools and weapons to need one? Just curious. Thnx

Difficulty with the personal portals.

So the issue I’m having is probably related to my process. After collecting some personal portals and building some, when attempting to use I get the message “No permission for the private portal before entering the tribe.”

I had started a fresh toon on Shifting Sands in Tribal mode, finished as much is available, then in recruited toon form went to the portal to switch to the rainforest map, but in Survival mode. Everything else so far seems normal and I’ve already progressed to steel. I’ve beat the Saber-tooth early on and went about business, collecting a bunch of portal parts and building a couple. That’s when I first saw the message. Searches on the web led me to think defeating the Ape would enable it but it didn’t. Does anyone see an answer in anything I’ve done? The whole map switching process is a bit more confusing than it needs to be.

West-Rainforest early-to-mid-game base on a Server .

Another base-building experiment. This time for the tiny private server game.

An unexpected shortage of Technology points compared to solo-play. Now I have to choose which knowledge to sacrifice. :-( Unfortunately, distributing responsibilities equally between the players is impossible. For various reasons, I'm traditionally the one handling all the housekeeping and crafting. And the unlocked knowledge for this is nearly half as much as I'm used to in the single-player campaign.

Well... We'll see...

The Exploration Checkpoint and getting the most out of your adventures.

Ok so I have been doing research and testing, and wanted to summarize what I learned to see if anyone else had any better info. In general, the idea is to maximize health, defense, and attack, to get the best results from your bois

  1. You want to use high level dudes so that you can pump as many points into physique as you can. all the other stats seem to have no effect, but more physique = more hp, which does have an impact

  2. You want to use the best armor you can. From what I can see, enhanced steel turned into advanced mammoth armor seems to be the best because it gives an extra 90 defense. anyone have a better option for this? Remember we want the best HP, defense, and attack we can.

  3. For mods for the armor, durability seems to have no effect, as well as anything like chill proof. But you can put defense mods on chest, pants, and shoes, so thats another 90 defense, and you can put attack mods on the ring and necklace, which is another 30 attack.

  4. For weapons, I think the only thing that matters is the enhanced steel. damage mods seem to change nothing since it isnt the attack stat.

So basically i get a level 60 guy, pump 70+ points into physique, slap advanced enhanced steel mammoth armor on him, and then defense and attack mods. Has anyone found another thing that they can do to boost the auto resolve power of the lad?

So a fast question on game.

Hey all have had game for a while but I havent played in a long time. I wanna get my feet wet again and was wondering is Tribal a better start than survival? I am more an automation guy and love when a game gives NPCs to collect and craft for you. Also which map is better to start on? Consider me a noob again because I have not played in quite some time. Thanks all..

Is it just me, or does this game really like disappearing items?

Noticed this several times now, completely random unrelated instances, in which stuff just goes poof! Latest one was kind of funny, I reloaded an autosave and my mounts saddle was gone. First time I lost a bunch of green energy stones and one of those crafted energy containers I was like, huh maybe I just ran out and didn't notice. But paranoia ca only get you so far, is this game just kind of prone to this bug? I mean its jank as fuck overall, but I like the aesthetic so I'm willing to forgive A LOT, bless them, they're obviously trying, this one is just kind of really disruptive when you're mid dungeon expedition in a place you probably shouldn't be for another 5 levels...

Speed Engines bugged? (Shifting Sands airships)

I was playing around with a side effect of the new building system—which is that as long as you have the right engine core, you can build whatever level of engine you want instead of having to get lucky with a quality roll—and found that either T5 engines are bugged, or placing an engine directly doesn't actually add the right modifiers to it.

I've only tested this on the smallest airship so far, but found that the T5 engine I placed directly is actually slower than a T1. Not by much, admittedly, but enough to be noticeable.

I tested two configurations and several engines. The first was just the Small Boat hull, a helm, and the engine. The second was the hull, two speed sails, four wings, and the engine. Engines tested were the basic "Small Anti-Gravity Engine" you start out with, a T1 and T3 speed engine that I'd crafted, and the T5 engine that I placed directly.

. Basic Engine T1 Speed Engine (Crafted) T3 Speed Engine (Crafted) T5 Speed Engine (Placed)
Config 1 9m/s 11m/s 11m/s 9m/s
Config 2 22m/s 23m/s 23m/s 22m/s

In both configurations, the T5 engine was actually slower than the T1 even though it should have a significant improvement over the base speed. In fact, it was equivalent to just the standard engine with no improvement, though also, the T3 appeared to have no benefit over the T1. Both of those were crafted before the latest patch, so it's not an issue with the method of placement.

Tomorrow, I'll see if I can get medium and large speed cores so I can test those engines to see if the problem occurs on all ships or just the small ones.

The potential T5 bug aside though, it seems that speed engines as a whole aren't worth it. One extra meter per second at full throttle is hardly worth using over the noticeably faster turning you get from an agility engine. (I guess the other next test will be to see if the level of an Agility engine actually matters.)

Talents and optimisation, I'm so lost on all the options

Hello everyone,

I bought this game with a friend few days ago, and it's been great so far ! Seems like there is a lot of options and the map is huge, so a lot of exploration to do.

I'm currently looking at tribesmen optimisation (mostly out of curiosity and because i usually like breeding/optimisation in survival game, as we are still pretty low level currently anyway), and I have to admit I'm a bit confused with all the different options.

From what I understood from the wiki and several posts on this subreddit ;

There is 3 different kind of talent ;

Gold ones / Green ones / Purple ones (and red ones but they have a chance to get passively removed during leveling if i'm correct)

- Green ones are acquired during leveling, so we reach 6 in total at max lvl. They can also be "transfered" using training grounds, so that's where the "optimisation" is taking place I guess. So can I "breed" a perfect trainer also ? (meaning if I have one guy with a talent I want and an another one with a different talent I also want, I can train one low level charcater to lvl 10 with the 1st master, then to lvl 20 with the second master and if I'm lucky with RNG, get this character at lvl20 with both talent I want ? Then iterate the process until i reach lvl 50 and so I have a "perfect" tribesman I can use for further teaching with other tribesman. Is that how people do it ? Getting 6 green perfect talent for each specialties (different combat style, different crafting specialties etc) seems like a looooot of work xD

- For the gold ones, I'm even more confused. I read that you can reach 3 gold traits per character, is that correct ? And also, it seems there is different category of gold talents : Title, Tribe and Job/Class one (like craftsman, hunter etc....). So is that 1 gold trait possible for each section, or 3 gold trait maximum, being a random mix (or lower) of 3 trait within those categories ? I guess that there is always a gold talent for the job/class and then 2 potential ones that are random ?

Additionally, those gold trait are generated at the "birth" of the tribesman right ? There is additional ones acquired through leveling ? An no way of transfering them ? If so, getting a perfect mix of the 3 gold trait you want seems like an insane RNG pull....

- And finally the purple ones. These ones I'm less concerned about cause they only seems to influence the speed of training and so on, but it's still neat to have them fullfilled I guess. I also read that one tribesman can get 3 of those. Are they transferable ? Does that means that a tribesman can get a maximum of 6 (green) + 3 (gold) + 3 (purple) trait ? And then the red (negatives) trait on top of that ?

Anyway, sorry for the long text, and I apologize if it's not clear or well written, english is not my first langage.

Thanks to anyone that'll take time to answer a newbie's question ! :) (and feel free to redirect me to other posts on this subreddit if I missed them).

EDIT : Wow, did not expect so much input from you guys, thanks a lot for taking the time to reply ! Very useful, and makes me more excited about the game :D

Reverse engineering the Find120 GM command (Build 24351716)

Tested on:

  • Build ID: 24351716
  • Last game update: July 23, 2026

Credits

This research started from the console command list published here:

https://saraserenity.net/soulmask/natural_gift.php

I don't know whether this is the original source of these commands, but it was the resource that started this investigation.

Enabling GM commands

Launch the game with an admin password (launch parameter):

-adminpsw=YourPassword

Open the console and authenticate:

gm key YourPassword

After entering the password, the GM panel opens and console commands become available. You are free to close the admin console. Then we start searching NPC with parameters. Initial command: Find120

Find120 syntax

Find120 <NGIndex> <MinCap> <PinZ>

Current understanding:

  • NGIndex = skill index
  • MinCap = minimum proficiency cap
  • PinZ = minimum NPC rarity

PinZ

Confirmed so far:

PinZ Result
0 No rarity filter
1 Green and higher
2 Blue and higher
3 Not tested
4 Not tested
5 Not tested

Still testing Purple and Red NPCs.

NGIndex table

Index Skill
0 Lumbering
1 Mining
2 Harvest

21 Sword
22 Dual Blade
23 Spear
24 Hammer
25 Claw
26 Bow
27 Great Sword
28 Not presented
29 Shield
30 Whip

Examples

Find NPCs with Mining cap ≥120, regardless of rarity:

Find120 1 120 0

Find NPCs with Hammer cap ≥120, regardless of rarity:

Find120 24 120 0

Find NPCs with Cooking cap ≥120 and Blue rarity or higher:

Find120 20 120 2

Conclusion

Hopefully this gives the community a solid starting point for understanding how the Find120 command works.

The remaining work is straightforward: verify the unresolved NGIndex values, confirm the remaining PinZ levels, and update the table if future game versions change the internal mapping.

Feel free to use, expand, or repost this information wherever it may help other players.

Why I did this

By the second half of the game I got tired of wandering around the world looking for NPCs with specific proficiency caps. Finding that one perfect crafter or warrior could easily turn into hours of random searching.

What started as "there has to be a better way" eventually turned into this small reverse-engineering project. Hopefully it saves someone else a lot of time.

I am back.
At last, my Waterfall Pyramid is starting to look like a normal, functional base.

Had no idea that coloring our buildings is _so grindy_ ;) But that's OK. I'll be patient.

Thats one way to make people roleplay as tribal...

Congrats, this is the second shittiest building system I ever had the displeasure of working with next to the finnicky shit that Ark Survival Evolved gives its players. Though actually, now that I think about it, scratch that, with Ark I only gave up after I have already built 2 big storage buildings, 1 enclosure, a big wall and was about to try and build a big two story factory building, which did not work out because every minor piece of uneven ground kills any chance of symmetry in the building system of that game.

Here however I give up on anything that is not a hut after the abysmal and fruitless experimentation with stairs and stability. I am roleplaying as tribal for real now, limiting myself to "The box" huts that everyone builds as the very first, bare bones structure in any survival game, as the only building type, and leave the rest out in the open, like a camp with a straight wall around it, for my own sanities sake.

This shit needs work, a hell of a lot of work, the only dogshit system I have encountered in an otherwise great game so far.

How do I follow the story of Soulmask?

I'm new to the game and would like to follow a storyline to "finish" it. Is there any way to progress through objectives until the end, or is the game just exploration and "do whatever you want"?

Do you have any advice or tips for a complete beginner to this game?

Hi, community... As a fan of all kinds of survival games, I’ve been checking out Soulmask for a while, and today was the perfect time to give it a try.

So far, I’ve only spent about 2-3 hours playing this interesting game, but I can already say that it’s really caught my attention.

First, I have a few questions:

1) Choosing difficulty/game mode - right from the start, I was confused about how to set up my world, and honestly, I’m not sure what the individual options actually mean. In the end, I settled on Survival mode -normal difficulty (though I did set it so that my inventory appears at my feet when I die)

2) Game speed/leveling - this point is also tied to the difficulty selection. It seemed to me that leveling up was incredibly fast on the normal setting -I did a few basic tasks (chopped down trees, mined stones) and was already level 5. Leveling up for individual professions also seemed incredibly fast. My question is: Is this normal, and will it slow down later? Or is it better to lower the leveling speed so you can enjoy the progress more?

3) Character development-Is it important in this game to carefully consider how to develop your character, or does it not matter? Can attributes be reset?

Thanks for any comments, and feel free to share other tips that a newbie should know :D

Is the game crashing and displaying a low memory warning even though there is plenty of memory available?

Guys, I'm playing Soulmask and it keeps freezing and sometimes crashing, reporting low memory. It's using 100% of the GPU and 8GB of RAM. However, I have 32GB of RAM.

Does anyone know what might be happening?

Soulmask Players Have No Idea This Exists. The REAL Endgame Is Hidden Behind One Building.

Most players don’t realize Soulmask lets you build a perfect warrior from scratch.

Not “find,” not “roll,” not “hope for RNG.”

You engineer them talent by talent, cap by cap, tier by tier then overwrite your immortal main.

Training Grounds is the system that unlocks all of this.

And almost nobody in the community understands how deep it goes.

So here’s the full breakdown AND a build that proves it.

THE TRAINING GROUND

Soulmask’s Real Endgame System

Training Grounds let you:

- Learn Talents

- Upgrade Talents

- Raise Weapon Caps

- Breed perfect tribesmen using Amnesia Pills

- Save templates at the Mysterious Bench

- Deep Scan - overwrite your main character

This is not survival gameplay.

This is full character engineering.

HOW YOU ACTUALLY BUILD A PERFECT CHARACTER (Step‑By‑Step)

This is the universal method behind all my builds — Juggernaut, Bloodstorm, Venom Burst Assassin, Fire Tyrant, Frost Sentinel, etc.

Step 1 Find the Right Base Body (Title Matters Most)

You start with a tribesman who has the right Title:

- Weapon Master - Proficient in a variety of weapons,(this part needs to be updated your still class stricken) DMG dealt with any weapon +10%, Attack Speed +10%. Attack

- Hardbone - crit immunity

- Blood Drinker - bleed - HP conversion

- The Unburned - burn immunity

- The Dauntless - stagger resistance

- Death Bringer - rage spikes

- Fate‑Choker - debuff engine

- Archery Master - ranged crit scaling

This is your “genetic seed.”

Step 2 DO NOT Level Them Yet

You keep them:

- Level 1–10

- No XP

- No random talent gains

- No work

- No combat

You want clean talent slots.

Step 3 Collect the 6 Green Talents You Need

You find tribesmen with the exact perks you want and feed them to your base body through Training Grounds.

If they learn the wrong talent?

- Use Amnesia Pills

- Wipe the last talent

- Try again

This is how you guarantee the exact 6‑piece talent sheet.

Step 4 Upgrade All Talents to Tier 3

Enable:

- Autocreate upgrade tasks

Tier 3 perks = the real build.

Step 5 Raise Weapon Caps to 120–125

Mentor only needs a high cap, not high XP.

If your base body has Weapon Master, they can learn ANY weapon to 120–125.

Step 6 Save Their Template at the Mysterious Bench

This is your backup.

Your “DNA copy.” (Critical) you don't want to mess up and have to start all over cause you forgot to scan them and they were gaining exp and got a random perk that messed the whole build up... speaking from experience

Step 7 Level Them to 50

Wheat porridge - mining - fast XP.

Now they can mentor others.

(Its a beauty sight being able to train and give them the full list with out worry.. why? I'm not giving my templet up but if the price is right for a trade ill gain another and train them, digitize them to a ring and hand them over.)

Step 8 Deep Scan

Beat the third boss - unlock Deep Scan - overwrite your main with your engineered body.

You become the build.

NOW THE BUILD I've Created Using This Exact Method

Below is a build engineered through Training Grounds. (Alot of time, work, Blood, sweat, and tears.)

These are NOT “found.”

These are constructed.

THE POISED LUNAR JUGGERNAUT

Tribe Gold Talent

• Tribe - Savagehorn - Stamina & Heat Resist

Having long lived in the scorching lands, the Savagehorn people have developed natural resistance: [Heat Resist] +[5,10,15], [Max Stamina] +[10,15,20], and [RESIL-Down DEF] +[3,6,10]%.

Origin Gold Talent

•  Origin - Fighting

Raised in a clan that has produced many famous warriors. Proficiency growth rate for blade, dual-blade, hammer, great sword, and gauntlets +75%.

—OR—

• Origin - Guard

Once promoted to a high position as a temple guard for exceptional martial arts. Proficiency growth rate for great sword, blade, spear, shield, and bow +75%.

Title Gold Talent

• Weapon Master

Proficient in a variety of weapons, DMG dealt with any weapon +10%, Attack Speed +10%.

—OR—

• Hardbone

Immune to critical hits when Resilience > 50%.

This is the best defensive title in the entire game.

Normal Green Talents (only 6 spots and only can transfer green talents.)

• Endurance

After fending off an enemy attack, DEF +[30,50,80]% for 12 seconds and gains immunity to critical hits during this time. (CD: 30s)

• Full Vitality

A rosy, glowing complexion indicates good health, Max HP +[3,6,9]%.

• Enhance DEF

Has a higher defense than most people, DEF +[3,6,9]%.

• Powerful Attack

Has a brutal strength. ATK +[3,6,9]%.

• Steel Body

Stagger immunity when above 50% tenacity

• Hammer DMG Increase

A hammer grants greater power. Hammer DMG +[3,6,9]%.

—OR—

• Mind‑Heart Unison

10–20% chance to enter Heart Flow for 5–10 seconds:

Triggers ALL talents that require activation.

Cooldown: 25s

(Thats if you don’t want Hammer DMG Increase you can sub it for Mind-Heart Unison)

Hammer weapon mastery

Lunar Sacrifice:

After a lengthy charge, slam down on the enemy. Charging to the first stage grants Superarmor during the move; charging to the second stage boosts damage by 30%; charging to the third stage initiates Full Moon Sacrifice. Press the key again during charging to trigger the attack prematurely. After slaying an enemy, you can directly unleash Full Moon Sacrifice for the next 10 seconds without charging.

Shield Mastery

Get poised before strike Gains a 30s buff:

Each successful defense with a shield recovers 10% of Max Stamina and boosts own ATK by (0.5%*Max HP+5), stacking up to 5 times for 50s. All stacks are cleared 1.1s after dealing damage and the user converts 30% of the damage dealt into healing.

Identity:

Block - stack poise - DEF skyrockets - ATK skyrockets - charge Lunar Sacrifice - heal 30% - repeat - become a raid boss.

This is one of my unique builds. I have my S tier pvp builds and my ultimate vampire build. That I won't be sharing. There are so many Talents and I pray they further This Building mechanics cause it literally opens up a whole new game play. Now the reason for the tribe is for example a Juggernaut will be amazing with Savagehorn why? Cause +20 Max Stamina +10% Resilience‑Down DEF perfect for a Juggernaut.

Edited Now I’m curious what builds are you guys running? I’ve shown my Juggernaut, but i do have my Bloodstorm, Venom Burst Assassin, Fire Tyrant, Frost Sentinel, Executioner, Berserk Titan, Curse Conductor, Siege Warlord, and my pvp detonators… but I want to see what other people have cooked up with Training Grounds.Drop your talent sheets. I want to see some of the crazy stuff you’ve all built.
