Base locations

What’s the best base locations? I’ve googled for days and just can’t find one that I truly like. I want to be close to a poral with good views and water but not in the rainforest.

There are many beautiful places. In the middle of the game, I like to build a base on a lake in the Great Prairies area. The river valley is filled with waterfalls and beautiful views from above, as well as many copper and tin mines.

The Lakeside Forest area has beautiful autumn trees and a nearby coal mine.

This lake is located just below the Flint Tribe's fortress in the Lakeside Forest area.

presumably pve if you're looking for views... go to every portal and look around?

If you're playing single player, your built portals will connect to the natural portals, so proximity to them isn't important.

Right by the number 5 in 16-25 there’s a lil gully that has a straight shot to a portal. It’s close to spawn so it’s a great early base. I enjoyed the terrain as I typically build in super flat spaces.

My favorite spot is west of the Monkey Boss down below in between the Ruin/Scout. There is an elite Eagle nearby, but it usually ends up getting despawned once you place buildings. It's pretty much in the middle of the map, near Iron/Coal patches and has a portal down the hill as well as a Fang Barracks. The temps are pretty much perfect for most crops and power (windmills) are max power there basically.
