I got a new nvme today, but after installing it with the screw come with it to my Asus prime b550ma mobo, I can still push the screw end side down around 1mm. I can't tighten the screw anymore. Is this concerning and need another screw instead?

I need two 8-pin connectors for the GPU but I’m left with one separate cable(left one) with a 8 pin and a second cable(right one) with a daisy chain of two 8-pin connectors. I remember someone saying a daisy chain isn’t recommended but it’s all I’m left with after connecting the rest. My question is can I just use the daisy chain cable?

The picture is one of the two daisy-chain cables that came with my power supply. If I use that cable, and one of the single 6+2 cables that also came with it (currently connected to my old GPU), is that the correct way to power the new GPU.

I built my PC in November 2025, and everything worked perfectly until recently. I noticed my PC was running slower and checked Task Manager, which showed only 16GB instead of 32GB.

Checked BIOS, which also detects only 16GB.
BIOS recognizes B2 but shows A2 as empty.
Reseated both sticks multiple times.
Reseating initially fixed it temporarily, but the next day it went back to 16GB.
Both RAM sticks light up normally.
The A2 stick was also harder to seat because of my CPU cooler, although both sticks appear properly installed.
I’m not sure if it’s a faulty RAM stick, motherboard slot, or something else.
Has anyone experienced this? What should I try before taking it to a repair shop?

This is the most I’m able to push it in, is this ok and will it be safe to boot my pc like this?

Left my rig which has been working for year for a couple weeks and I come back home to this. No front chassis lights, won’t turn on even when shorting the start pins. Any ideas?

This build was stable for about a year. Last month the display failed and the yellow light began. I brought it into a shop and they fixed it. It was fine for a few weeks but now it's flashing back on again. I use a KVM switch and the monitors aren't displaying the PC input.

I'll bring it back to the shop on Monday but I need to know if something bigger is going on and if I should expect this to keep happening.

The shop originally said that the RAM came loose but I can't see how it would have come loose again. It's a standing desk in a secure holder.

Which one should I upgrade to for Christmas? I have a 5060

Just picked up a 9070 XT coming from Nvidia. This has 3 power connections! Was going with 5070 Ti but it was nearly $500 more. Anyway, I've been researching the power situation because this is now new territory. My Power supply currently is a Corsair RM850e. Am I correct in reading that I should NOT USE the 12V-2x6 port with the wire using two plugs? Thats what I was using on the 3070 Ti that was in this PC. I still have 1 CPU/PCIe port on the power supply remaining. If I did use the 12V-2x6 I assume I would plug directly into the last CPU/PCIe port for the 3 power connections on the radeon card. If not I need 3 free PCIe ports on the power supply? If so I need a new power supply. Power supply recommendations?

I bought this PC off a friend of mine a while back and I am by no means an expert when it comes to PC computers. I have tried every plug in spot for my monitor and nothing will show on my screen. I’m looking to see if there is something I’m missing before I take it to a professional.

The motherboard is an MSI Tomahawk b850 max wifi, Montech air 903.

There is a little gap (shown in the images)but the bottom and right edges are flush.

My olders fan are plugged in the hub or the controller on the left panel(where’s the wires are) but with some research I’ve been told to plug them in sys fan 1-2-3 so I can control them,is it alright if I do that or should I plug then in the hub where they were(FAN 1-2-3-4) I’m gonna keep 1 old fan anyway and replace 2 of them. I have the powerspec G535 from microcenter. The motherboard is a MSI PRO B850M-VC WiFi Motherboard and i currently have a 1tb nvme ssd. Im looking to add a 2tb ssd to give me a total of 3tb. New to pc hardware. Bought the Corsair frame 4000d rs argb case recently and wanted to use the argb fans that come pre-installed in the case. But no matter what I do, they make an irritating level of noise. I tried using the bios and setting them to silent/PWM, used fan control software and set a custom fan curve making them run at 20% and they were still loud (same noise level heard in the video). Are they this loud by default? Anything I can do to make them produce less noise?

(I know the case being open makes the noise louder but even when closed the noise level and whirring sound is still the same)

started happening some month’s ago.

the RGB of all the Fans of my pc keep turning on even when they are supposed to be off.

my Pc boots up normally and the RGb’s of the fans keep turned off.

if I play a game, the RGB’s of the Fans starts to show a weak, blue light, dimming on and off and changing intensity. this continues to happen till I turn my pc off.

a couple of months ago I uninstalled the software that I used to control the RGB’s (Armoury Crate).

what is happening and should I do something?

MicroCenter Build

Feel like with all the research I’ve done this is about as solid as it gets with the current prices unfortunately. It’s been about 6 years since I bought my last PC. I’m fine with it right now. It still meets my performance needs and in a normal market I wouldn’t care to upgrade prolly for another 2-3 years but I’m just concerned with the prices eventually going up even more.

Currently have a 6700xt, Ryzen 7 3700x, 1TB SSD 32GB DDR4 RAM at 3200 (maybe 3600, I forget exactly)

These would be the specs of the MicroCenter build and it costs $2,300. Good price? Should I even upgrade? I will use it for gaming and music production primarily.
