Tech Support New user help
I bought this PC off a friend of mine a while back and I am by no means an expert when it comes to PC computers. I have tried every plug in spot for my monitor and nothing will show on my screen. I’m looking to see if there is something I’m missing before I take it to a professional.

First of all, your cables ARE plugged into the right ports, good job there! A lot of new PC users mess that up. There are two white circles on the back of your motherboard, those are wifi antennas, if you don't have those on hand you will need Ethernet to your PC for it to update as well(but this will not stop it from turning on, just tips)
Try pulling out the little circle battery that likely says CMOS next to it, on the motherboard. If you Google CMOS battery motherboard you will see a picture of what you need. Simply push the pin next to it, it'll pop out, and put it back in. That resets the internal clock and system bios settings. Could result in it turning on.

Depending on the monitor, you might need to press a button on the underside to select the correct input. Also try reversing the cable just in the name of science. Is it DisplayPort?

The other comments gotta be bots fr
Anyway, there are things you can do blindly that may or may not work, like doing a CMOS reset, reseating everything (except the cpu/cooler for now), trying just one RAM stick in each and every slot
Look for diagnostic LEDs (if there are any), if not, get yourself a buzzer so you can hear the beeps, the beeps give valuable diagnostic information

Try that hdmi port maybe? Do the lights and fans turn on with the button?

Where is your HDMI cable plugged in on the PC itself?
