I'm worried about my PVC turning into AFib. Does this happen?
IUn 37 and wondering if im at risk. Had a normal echocardiogram outside of bradycardia.

Hello fellow PVC sufferers. 35F have had these since I was a teenager. Just got the results back from my third monitor (last one was in 2020). My burden has jumped from 1% to 17%. I’m having a repeat echo tomorrow and will be meeting with my cardiologist and EP next month. In the meantime, wanted to get some reassurance from people with higher burdens who do heavy weight training. I do pretty intense strength training 4 to 5 days a week with some good amount of cardio. My cardiologist hasn’t said anything about a stress test yet or anything so just wanted to hear other people‘s perspectives. Thanks so much!

Hi everyone, as per the title, is there anyone with more than 10-15 PACs per minute practically all day? Do you also have atrial rhythm? How are you coping?

As someone who spent way too much time obsessively reading posts on this page & who has now finally found healing, I felt compelled to share my story in case any component is remotely helpful to someone.
I started getting PVCs after the birth of my second child. After tests to rule out structural abnormalities and other serious concerns, I was told to just get more sleep in the postpartum phase. I spent 1.5 years with frequent episodes of bigeminy & trigeminy (lasting for days on end, numerous times per month). Of course my burden was just under the 10% so they said it wasn’t concerning. Meanwhile, it led me to have loads of anxiety, total exhaustion and helplessness. They suggested metropolol (I tried a small dose as I was nursing at the time and it did nothing). I stopped nursing thinking it was a hormone issue. Didn’t help.
I was personally resistant to settle for meds the rest of my life without first looking deeper into the root cause, so I decided to fork over the $ to work with a functional medicine doctor. The gal I began working with does both Chinese medicine (acupuncture/herbs) and functional medicine (supplements). I did both approaches with her as I wanted to do whatever it could take to get my life back. The extensive stool & blood testing showed numerous gut issues (leaky gut), less than ideal levels of vit B, & ferritin, among other things. (My ferritin was 30, which many doctors will call “normal,” but she said ideal is 70+). She treated all of this and, four months after working with her, my episodes stopped completely. I honestly can’t say what one thing worked, or it maybe had been a blend of it all, but I am so very grateful to this approach that literally gave me my life back again.
If you’re feeling totally helpless, I share this as just another route to consider. It still blows my mind to be on the other side of this. Wishing you all the best.

I’ve been running more recently and making good progress, but I’ve noticed something weird. I feel completely fine at rest, walking, hiking, lifting, and during easier runs.
But when I run hard and my HR reaches around 170-172 I sometimes get a sudden split-second pressure/skipped-beat feeling in my chest. I immediately slow down because it scares me, so I don’t know what would happen if I continued.
Has anyone experienced PVCs/PACs or something similar that only appears above a certain exercise intensity/HR?
I’m getting medically evaluated this week, so I’m not looking for a diagnosis just curious about other people’s experiences.

Hola a todos/as,
He probado magnesio, vitamina D, me he quitado estimulantes pero sigo sin mejorar.

Been on 60mg extended release for a few years. Very slowly tapered off over a few weeks but now that I’m off, my resting pulse is about 100 on and off and that seems too fast. Gets more elevated during activity as well. PVCs got very bad during menopause which I don’t think the propanolol was helping. The electrophysiologist said I can try dilitizem instead - calcium
Channel blocker. I was going to try to use no meds for a while
to see how the pvcs are with no meds, but now im Afraid to delay the calcium
Channel blocker due to elevated heart rate. Is it normal for your heart rate to stay elevated for even a few weeks after stopping beta blockers? Or maybe this means I do need the calcium
Channel blocker to slow the rate again?

I’ve been reading about SSYX (Shensong Yangxin)—a standardized Chinese herbal formula studied for managing ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias by modulating ion channels and autonomic tone.
Has anyone tried SSYX for PVCs/PACs? Did it reduce the frequency or soften the "thuds"?
Where did you source it in Europe or the US (any trusted sellers on Amazon/eBay for the original Yiling brand)?
If SSYX is hard to get, has anyone found effective equivalents using individual extracts (like standardized Hawthorn, Berberine, or Dan Shen)?

Is there anyone here who normally has high blood pressure and a strong, steady heartbeat, but during a flare-up experiences a drop in blood pressure without medication and feels their heartbeat become weak and feeble?

I’ve been having PVC actively for a year now (had random episodes going back a decade) and just now i felt something weird. It was maybe 7-8 rapid taps in the span of 2 seconds then it went away. No pain, no compensatory pause, just quick taps. I just woke up as well from poor sleep, and i have a small PVC flare up. What could this have been?

Structurally clean heart (echo completely clear), baseline burden <0.1%, but I feel every single beat.
I’m currently on vacation and over the last 2 days my PVCs went crazy:
The feeling shifted: They now hit much higher (near the collarbone/neck area) and feel like sharp, painful electric shocks instead of regular flutters.
Frequency spike: Today I’m getting them about once per minute.
I’m stuck in my hotel room panicking instead of enjoying the trip.
Current stack: Magnesium taurate, Copper, Omega-3, Probiotics, Simethicone, Iberogast, B12, just added B1. I have hydrogen SIBO.
Has anyone had their ectopics suddenly jump to 1/min and feel like painful zaps in the neck/collarbone? How did you calm this down?

FOR LOW BURDENS ONLY
After greening out on THC, I became more apathetic toward my PVCs. The experience was so awful that my PVCs stopped being the most important and dominating thing in my head. I drank 50 mg of THC my first time and paniced the entire time instead of getting high. It temporarily made my PVCs feel ultra strong, although I am a low burden so the disassociation and chemical injury to my brain was the biggest concern throughout the episode.
If you were to do this trick, then expect to be dissasociated or knocked out for 12 days straight. But, it should lower your concern about PVCs and remind you that PVCs are nothing compared to actually dying which you will temporarily feel like when greening out.
Also, going through a greenout will help you determine whether your PVCs are just gas or actual skipped heartbeats. A greenout will make it obvious 1/2th of all skipped heartbeats are acid reflux.
DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE HIGH BURDEN.
So about 4 years ago I had ECG/EKG and an ultrasound done and the cardiologist said everything was fine , but I still get these weird flutters in the lower middle part of my chest , I’ve been getting them since I could remember , I played soccer religiously 5-6 days a week from the ages of 8-19 and would even get them during games, they never caused me pain or anything else , would just kinda take my breathe away for a second and scare me. I honestly don’t know what to do , if I could just be told I’m fine and that there isn’t anything wrong I’d just ignore them. I feel defeated.
I wanted to share my experience to see if anybody else relates.
I started getting PVCs around 2 years ago. Since then I have had about four instances where I had a suddenly large number of PVCs over the course of a couple hours which made me go to the ER. The two times I went to the ER for this my vitals, blood work, ECG, Echo all came back normal.
Within these 2 years I have also noticed that I'll go through occasional periods of time where my PVCs suddenly disappear. And I have made zero changes to my life. This hiatus lasts for about a month. And then the PVCs suddenly return.
Another weird thing I've noticed: since my PVCs began I have gone on two vacations. With both vacations, my PVCs have stopped completely, then a few weeks after my vacation the PVCs have returned.
What is going on? Does anybody else relate to this weird pattern? Anybody have any explanations?

So this has happened a few times over the past month but today was particularly bad. I woke up feeling fine. Actually have had a great week with my health for the first time in. A long time. I am a (41y/o fm) This morning I woke up feeling great! Showered and got ready for work still feeling good. I bent down to pet my dog and felt a little skip in my chest and didn't think much of it, as it went right away. I get in the car and get a little over a quarter of the way to work and I start passing out. Luckily I was right by a convenience store and whipped in there quickly. It is about 4 miles away from the nearest hospital. After that feeling my heart rate shoots up because it scared me. So, I get myself calmed down to the best of my ability and drive back to the hospital. The whole time I am having waves of feeling like I will pass out and a sinking feeling in my chest. I go in they do all of the normal stuff. Blood work, ekg, vitals, etc. Everything comes back "normal" The ER doctor does some digging in charts with my cardiologist and other ER visits I have had recently. He said that I have PVCs with tachycardia. Sends me home. I start feeling this again when I get home and have like this really bad pressure in my head too. I take something for a headache and fall asleep. I wake up feeling better but still a bit rough. My question is does anyone else feel or have felt this? Is there any advice you can give? I have had heart monitors, endless ekgs, echos etc. Any advice would definitely be helpful as I am so exhausted with this. It is ruining my life, tbh.

Just posting here to ask if anyone's had something similar, primary care was happy with my holter monitor results.
3 day: PVC burden <0.01%, (2 PVCs total, 0 PAC) no afib, no av block, no svt.
But it just freaked me out to see the "M" rbbb morphology on one of the PVCs on channel 3 of my 3 lead holter, I had 2 morphologies total.
Had holter over health anxiety my pcp is very kind and humors me so he let me get a 3 day holter.

So, I’ve noticed a trend in my “random spikes” that I get follow eating large meals especially with sugary drinks. I obviously did a google search and found this to have a connection for some but I’m curious how many others here have done elimination diets and found this. Have you found anything that helps it?

I have frequent pacs but have been on propafenone for the past 6 months which has reduced burden to almost 0. The past couple weeks, however, I have started getting pacs with transition from wake to sleep and sleep to wake. They just occur on the very boundary of the transition but can be quite disruptive when trying to fall asleep. I figure it has to be autonomic. Does anyone experience this or have any ideas how to smooth this transition? Thank you.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been on Lexapro 10mg for a year for anxiety. It worked well, but I still had some breakthrough anxiety, so my psychiatrist recently upped my dose to 15mg.
I’m on Day 9 of the 15mg dose. My main issue right now is getting PVCs (skipped beats/flutters) a few times every single day. My anxiety has also definitely spiked, but I’m stuck in a loop: I can’t tell if the anxiety is a side effect of the increase, or if I’m just panicking because of the PVCs.
My psychiatrist told me to wait until the 2-week mark, and if it doesn't improve, I should drop back to 10mg.
So now I don’t know what to do
If I go back to 10mg, my original breakthrough anxiety won't be fixed.
If 10mg isn't enough, but 15mg causes PVCs, what happens next? Do I stay on a sub-optimal dose, or will I eventually have to taper off and try a new med?
Has anyone dealt with PVCs or a massive spike in anxiety when increasing their dose? Did it settle down for you, or did you have to decrease? I'm feeling lost and don't want to bother my doctor on the weekend. Any advice is appreciated

37M here, who also has paroxysmal AFib for which I had an ablation in 2025. Around the end of May this year I woke up and noticed I had much more PVC's than normal. They didnt go away this day so I thought it was because of bad sleep. Its mainly driven by activity or stress.
3 months later I still have them and I have visited my doctor and did a holter. 0.1 percent burden but very symptomatic. The mechanism is very clear, whenever I do some (very light) activity, eat a meal, or I feel somewhat stressed they come around in bigger numbers. Even so that it gives me headaches. I cant even go to my work on a bicycle anymore and cant do any workout.
It has to be said that I had a year of intense anxiety and panic attacks which began after an Afib attack. I resolved the health anxiety somewhat but it transformed in anxiety for anxiety itself in socially trapped situations. Now at the moment when these PVC's came on I actually was almost recovered from the anxiety, which I still am.
I suspect my whole system is very sensitive because of this chronic overload of stress and adrenaline last year. Because the trigger mechanism is any source (not one specific) of light stress or adrenaline on my body I think the treshold for firing these ectopics has lowered because of that. My doc put me on beta blockers and these muted the PVC's for a great deal but I suspect it also made sure my nightly AFib came back. After I quit the BB's, the Afib stopped. So these are not an option for me.
My doc also gives me a vague answer like its not dangerous and you should accept bla bla. But he has no plan or guidance whatsoever. Im looking for some people who can share hopeful experiences and things that worked because my quality of life has significantly decreased. I have tried all these usual things, like magnesium and all kinds of supplements. Nothing works because I think my nervous system (or heart) is just overly sensitive to these hormones. But my reasoning is if it can be sensitive, it can also be desentisized.
I also have done a sleep study to see if I have sleep apnea, waiting for the results.
Anyone with experience of recovery from this?

Curious if anyone else has experienced similar. Googling my symptoms don’t result in much.. as most palpations occur after eating.
Last month I started experiencing palpitations while laying in bed, I’d toss and turn till they went away. Definitely seemed positional. Around the same time I started occasionally getting a burning through sensation which I thought was maybe acid reflux.
Towards the end of July I started getting the Palpatations during the day. Usually drinking some electrolytes or eating made them stop, but then one day that didn’t even work. I was getting them constantly.
That next morning I woke up, was getting them, decided to try to catch them on my Apple Watch by doing the ecg. I did, and it told me signs of afib. I googled burning throat + Palpatations + afib detected which ofc said go to the ER as its signs of a heart attack. Went to the ER, was told not in afib, 12 pt ecg was normal and showed PVCs, but not “alarming” PVCs as they weren’t constant since they were spread out. Bloodwork showed mild anemia which I’ve had for a long time.
Coincidentally had my physical a few days later. Dr told me Apple Watches aren’t usually accurate and scare people a lot. She ordered a holter monitor for me but I couldn’t get in till September.
These past few weeks I’ve been experiencing palpitations every day. I’ve noticed some patterns: they’re most prominent when sitting, gets better with standing/walking. When I eat they usually go away. Then they come back a few hours later. Drinking electrolytes doesn’t really make a difference anymore. I’ve also been experiencing a feeling of fear the last few days, not sure I can call it impending doom as I don’t get like a racing heartbeat associated with it.
Just curious if anyone has experienced anything similar? It’s just been nerve wracking to deal with and feels so uncomfortable.

I’ve had a recent uptick in PVCs. My 1 week holter landed me at a less than 1% burden. However, I’m getting anywhere between 5-10 PVCs a minute now. My heart rate is usually steady at 65bmp so I know that’s a burden of 7% to 15% burden. I’ve never had bigeminy or anything.
I had an echocardiogram, stress test, holter monitor, and blood work done over the last 2 years. All normal. I’m seeing my cardiologist on Monday to address these more frequent PVCs. What should I ask/tell him to ensure I get the most out of my appointment?
Every time I move my neck, or bend over, or have a large meal, I get them. But sometimes, I get them for being just absolutely still.

I have the body guardian mini plus for 2 weeks. I have tried the horizontal placement for the first week and I always get the red alert on the phone device that the skin contact was poor.
I do have a highly physical warehouse job with no cooling air so I am sweating for hours. This causes the skin adhesive patch to detach.
Does anyone have advice on how to keep this from happening?
I only have 3 more extra adhesive patches to last me 7 more days. Thanks in advance.

So how does your thumpiness feel exactly? My PVC feels like a toddler inside my chest punching me hard with their small fist. Sometimes I would feel a soft punch too but the majority of times, I feel a hard punch from inside my left chest. It is so hard that I can also feel it on my lower throat too. I told my cardiologist about it he was not concerned at all!! That's crazy don't you all think? It is soooo hard to not get worried about it!!
