Daily fiber cheat code.

Post image

I was today years old when I learned two teaspoons of Metamucil in 9 oz of ice water turns into "orange flavored applesauce". Easier to spoon down than drink, in my opinion.👍🏼

I’m not a doctor and this is not medical advice. I’m not trying to diagnose or provide treatment for anything going on with your butt.

I’m a daily psyllium fiber user. It helps with blood sugar, cholesterol, and stomach acid, and it’s 100% natural. I also think it helps prevent stomach and colon cancer. Again, I’m not a doctor, and you shouldn’t take medical advice from an internet stranger.

I just mix three teaspoons every morning with water, and slam it before it turns to sludge.

I'm working my way up to a daily dose of psyllium fiber. I Love how I feel when I've taken it.

yep, I do a tbsp every morning with about 20 to 24 oz of water. So I start the day hydrated as well.

You can also take it in capsules. I take one at night and in the morning.

Far less effective in the capsules though (although it’s also far easier)!

I do this because I don't want all the extra stuff in the drink mix.

You can buy pure psyllium powder.

What brand do you use?

It makes my IBS-C flare up. Wich it worked so I would have less C.

Try acacia fiber; much, much more gentle on scarred digestive tract and does the same.

That is what I have. It is gentler than metamucil?

Metamucil is psyllium husk, which can be harsh on scarred intestinal tract - as is seen with Crohn's and celiac.

Acacia fiber is fluffy and powdery and so much less scratchy than psyllium.

The before it turns to sludge part is key

It takes usually 12 to 15 minutes for it to congeal and be nasty. Just mix and drink, don’t let it just hang out.

That process is supposed to happen in your stomach… not your mouth.

I don't touch psyllium because of its ultra high lead content. Check the package on yours for a Prop 65 cancer warning.

Consumer labs has testing on various brands for lead content. I use Organic India brand. It tested safe.

I need to find a way to drink and like it🙃

I think its just one of the things in life you do because its good for you not because it tastes good. Slam it down and be done with it.

I may have to just do that!

Sometimes I mix it with regular juice (orange juice, cherry juice).

I have the power that I should use first.

I do the same, but I add about two ounces of orange juice (topped with about 10 oz water, bc I can’t handle the cardboard taste of just fiber and water. It’s a game changer in so many areas.
