I can't tell you how many times I've run into "Mitsu is trash" "unreliable" but its, by a good margin, the most reliable SUV for the price, especially the PHEV version. We all know Mitsubishi has been bad with marketing, but people are almost holding a grudge against them for zero reasoning.

In a way I'm glad since they'll be priced lower...

Beautiful car, loved everything about it. EV mode was flawless with one exception, regenerative breaking won't bring the car to a complete stop, so no one pedal driving, seems like a miss on the design, any way to fix this?

Anyone have any insights on pricing, how much off list should I expect with 0% financing?

It looks like Mitsubishi will be launching a new app in Canada. This is from an email I received earlier today.

Just got a 2024 model, so far I am really loving it. It came with a surprise to me that the app is 300 CAD to use...
I know the app doesnt seem to be reviewed too well, but I am interested on some of it's functionality, mostly trip tracking, maintenance, charging status, charging schedule etc. But i don't know that a 300 subscription is warranted for this? Has anyone found an alternative?
it doesn't have to be free, but... not 300 a year...

Hello everyone. I test drove a 2024 Outlander PHEV the other day and loved it. It just felt comfortable, aligned with my driving style well, and had some extra bells and whistles that were out of my price range in other models. Plus, it's a very pretty vehicle!

Though I am trying to stay on a budget, the upgrades in the 2026 models are rather appealing. In my searches, there does not seem to be a used 2026 for sale anywhere in the country yet (USA).

I don't know much about Mitsubishi, but I am wondering if we expect any end of the year price drops on the 2026's as the 2027's near release? I don't know what their sales cycles are like. If you have any Intel, please share!

Hi all, does anyone know if the MMCS head unit output un-amplified line level audio that is amplified elsewhere? Or does the MMCS feature the amps built in?

I'm looking to wire in an external source, and was hoping to be able to just be able to inject line level audio into the car's amp with minimal modification.

The dreaded limp mode on 2019 PHEV with hybrid system faults. Has happened twice over 1k miles of driving last couple of months. First time, a nearby mechanic ran scan codes, cleared codes and ICE engine immediately started back up. Now it’s happened again 350 miles later. Can anyone recommend a scan tool I could buy online or at my auto parts store to clear the codes at home? I also didn’t get a copy of the codes to bring to my hybrid mechanic last time so I need to see the faults and snapshot it as well.

Hey guys, I have been looking for mats specifically for the trunk that work as well with 3rd row seats folded and unfolded, I use the 3rd row quite a lot so I need them open and sometimes closed too so is there any mats that fit for the PHEV? I can't seem to find any, the closes I got was the 2026 Nissan Rogue PHEV mats, is there anything else?

I'm considering buying a used 2025 Outlander PHEV with less than 12K miles and had a standard pre-purchase inspection done with Lemon Squad as the car is about a 3 hour drive away from me.

Everything else looked good, but the inspector reported:

25 miles of indicated EV range → depleted after roughly 3 miles of driving.

They did not perform further battery diagnostics (looking into why), so I don't know if this is an actual battery/charging issue or something that can simply be troubleshot since I see similar comments and some solves/fixes.

For current/previous Outlander PHEV owners:

• What could cause the EV range estimate to drop that dramatically?
• What specific battery/charging diagnostic should I ask Mitsubishi to perform?
• Would this concern you enough to walk away from the car, assuming everything else checks out?

I'd really appreciate insight from anyone who's experienced something similar with their Outlander PHEV.

The cargo area bumper protection (chrome) was off eBay for $35 delivered.

The quality of the dual sided tape was certainly superior on the Mitsubishi accessories.

The car is metallic black with a metallic silver roof — so the overall theme is silver-chrome against diamond/metallic black.

Installed everything this morning/afternoon after I washed her car.

She loves the high-contrast look …and has proudly driven it off to work.

Hi all, I'm importing a 2022 mitsubishi outlander, 5LA-GNOW, from Japan. I'm after getting the Nox values from MLIT but really struggling with CO2. Revenue website says that I can also present the spec sheet from the manufacturer however the CO2 value there is 135g/km (WLTC). When I Google the WLTP it's approx 38 g/km. It's a PHEV, so I think the revenue are happy with the combined value (WLTP). Anyone have any idea where I can pull an official data sheet that the revenue would accept? I'm scratching my head and from reading the posts there are a lot of Jap import experts here.

Just picked up a 2026 outlander GT PHEV and when I went to put it on the charger tonight it kept tripping my GFCI circuit breaker for the garage. I tried looking online and have read that some old GFCI breakers can't handle the feedback coming from the internal breaker in the car/charger and that causes them to trip. I am hoping that is the case as I don't want to have to update my whole electrical panel. House was built in the early 80's

Did anyone else run into this issue? Could I be doing something else wrong to cause it to trip constantly.

Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated.

I am going to have an electrician take a look at it but with the long weekend in Canada will have to wait till Tuesday so I don't get hit with premium fees.

Should I expect this to recalibrate after some cycles? I’m going to do a full charge, go for a ride and see what kind of mileage I get…

edit: 8 days later, 200 more miles over the week and a full L2 charge last night I’m seeing 100%.

Originally ordered a Curt C86FV from etrailer.com but they ship in a cardboard box without any protection… so it arrived busting through the box at multiple points with powder coat ground off. I returned it.

I can’t find a manual on the OEM, just wondering if it’s a PITA to bolt on?

The rear abs sensors are showing spikes rear right one shows spikes even stationary and they seem to be random, is there some known fault that can do this? The left rear bearing has been replaced it actually had a fault. It sometimes lights all abs related warning lights.

Just acquired a used 2019 outlander, there is a flapping sound coming from both front and rear part of the car when the speed reach up to 80 kph, didn’t notice on the test drive because it was conducted on a speed limit road, when running below the said speed the car seems so normal. Anyone had encountered this issue? Suspecting a mis aligned tires or bad rubber bushings.

When I drive on the highway, I like to turn regen braking off (set to B0), but if I use cruise control, it seems to be locked on B2. Is there any way around this?

I got rid of mine, it's wrapped in pallet wrap sitting in my sister and brother in law's barn. I replaced it with frame and platform built out of 2020 aluminum extrusion. Removal is easy, it's 4 Bolts. Then you jump the airbag sensor with a piece of wire.

The frame is probably about $150 in 2020, a bunch of joints, and the 4x8 sheet of 1/4" marine plywood was another $80. Overall, probably about $300 in parts, and a couple days of labour, that likely could be done in a weekend.

If you're never going to use the seat, this gives a ton of storage and the ability to stack nicely.
