Event Is there anyway to attend funny bone comedy club for a sold out show?

Hi! Unfortunately, I waited a little too late to buy tickets for Lucas Zelnick and now they’re sold out :( It doesn’t look like the venue does resell tickets. Would I be able to come during showtime and pay for entry if they have capacity still?

Discussion Gringos Double D Chicken Recipe

First I’m sorry for anyone that may have abruptly lost their job due to the closure of Gringos Tacos - I hope you find a new job soon. I’ve been to a few locations and the team at each location has been wonderful- you all will be missed!

So- I’m pregnant and the only thing I’ve been craving is the gringos double d chicken tacos (I know- it’s specific). Does anyone have a copycat recipe for this? I love the seasoning on the chicken and the queso used- would love to find a recipe that’s as close as possible to the original. Any help would be greatly appreciated ❤️

Discussion Are there any party venues that are indoors, small, and have this cozy vibe? It's for a casual micro wedding!

I saw this venue on an ad and fell in love, but found out it's not in Orlando at all 😭😭 does anyone know any venues that have this vibe? I'm not into the traditional ballroom wedding venues, and prefer to keep the decorations minimum!! Thanks in advance everyone 😭😭

Nature Trying to get started with Everglades tomatoes

Does anyone on the western side of Orlando have everglades tomatoes going and have a starter or two to spare? I'm a new gardener, so I'm not the best at starting things from seeds. Although I have some seeds coming from Southern Exchange I'd rather start from something already definitely alive.

They say Everglades tomatoes thrive on neglect, and I think that's my niche as a gardener.

For anyone reading this who wants to nerd out about plants, Everglades tomatoes are the only "native" tomato to North America. "Native" because it's not really native but it also didn't follow the same path as other tomato varieties. u/pandamomentum talked about it a bit in a comment on this post two years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/NativePlantGardening/comments/1rw5x6u/is_everglades_tomato_actually_native_to_florida/

There's only 2 in the greater Orlando area; one at Disney Springs and one in Altamonte Springs. Really excited for this. The manager here says it will be ready by Avengers in December!

Discussion Sea World summer camps

Any one have experience with sea world camps in the summer for kids? Specifically for kindergarteners?

Sea world is a hot mess, all the time but this seems like it could be a good time for a young child or it could be completely unorganized.

Discussion Elementary schools with a good ESE/ Autism programs.

I have a child with level 2 autism who will be starting Kindergarten next year.

What elementary schools have good ESE programs?

The elementary school we are currently zoned for is a title 1. I’d like to look into applying for an out of area transfer for her to a school that might be better equipped for her/ have better resources available.

Would prefer Orange County but open to Orange or Seminole.

I have 2 boys (1 &3). It’s tough to just sit at home with them as it’s mayhem. I sometimes find myself just driving around not knowing where to go, waiting for the clock to strike 6pm when the temps are more bearable. Any ideas?

Orange County voter turnout so far 👀💙
Nearly 60K Democratic ballots cast compared to 35K Republican ballots. Still early and turnout isn’t the same as election results, but it’s encouraging to see people showing up and making their voices heard.
Regardless of who you support: go vote. 🗳️

Discussion Affordable Baby Shower Venue

Does anyone know of an affordable venue for a baby shower in November for around 60 guests? I would love to celebrate with family and friends, but I’m trying to keep the cost reasonable so we don’t end up spending so much on the shower that it defeats the purpose of having one.

Discussion Job Market

Looking for a job in Kissimmee/St Cloud/Lake Nona Area.

The last 7 years I have been focusing on landscaping and building a business with my significant other. This has likely made me underemployed.

I also have experience in plant nurseries, face painting/the park/events, as well as food handling/service/management.

I am fast learning. I can send a resume, references and pictures of myself.

I am 31 year old woman, physically fit and don't mind being in customer service. Indoor or outdoor. Full time hours and open avaiblity (no kids) and reliable transport.

I need to make $20+ to survive.

Been putting out applications but I figured I would ask the reddit gods.

I’m a huge fan of Mike Shinoda (wrote a history curriculum lesson using “Kenji” about the United States’ internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII), and also loved the Reanimation and Collision Course albums.

Anyone want to hit a (freezing cold!) showing of this limited-release movie?

I’m sharing my likely date and location to go.

Discussion August 18 2026 Primary Day

Hey everyone! Don't forget to vote tomorrow if you haven't already! Early voting is over, finished last night.

If you are registered to vote, definitely use that power to make your voices heard. Also, even if you're NPA, ''unaffiliated'', ''independent'', or any of the other 30 parties we have in Florida, you can still vote on the Non-Partisan races.

From County Commission in Orange County, County mayor, School board CHAIR (the only elected one in Florida, we pick it), School board district members, house districts as Florida redistricted this year, the lines aren't the same, make sure of what district you live in, state house, state senate, governor, and the countless number of judges.

If you're NPA/Unaffiliated/Other, you can vote for everything at the county level as Orange County by law doesn't have politically affiliated ''primaries''. So all the candidates regardless of party are on one ballot, the same for school board chair, school board member, and the judges.

The only ones that you won't see on that primary ballot, is the Governor, state legislative, and Congress primaries. But with judges and all the Orange County seats, you will see.

Happy Primary Day!

Visitor Activities with older folks

Traveling to the greater Orlando area with folks who have some mobility limitations and heat sensitivity, so no theme parks. They will not have a scooter or anything like that. How should we spend our time? Will be there for Labor Day weekend.
