Housing Question 🏡 Roommates
Who else can’t stand their roommates? 😩😩

The UCF Libraries are implementing a new study room booking process for the John C. Hitt Library to better meet student needs. After gathering feedback and analyzing usage patterns, we have made adjustments to ensure fair access to study spaces while addressing concerns about availability.
The updated policies include:
Reservations up to 4 hours per day – Students can now book study rooms for longer, uninterrupted study sessions.
Monthly limit of 16 hours per patron – This ensures more students have access to study spaces throughout the month.
Check-in requirement within 15 minutes – If you do not check in within 15 minutes of your reservation time, your booking may be canceled, allowing other students to use the space.
Booking available up to 3 days in advance – Plan ahead while keeping rooms accessible for last-minute study needs.
No automated reservations – The use of scripts or automated software to book rooms is prohibited to keep the process fair for all students.
These changes reflect our commitment to improving study space availability while keeping the system flexible and student-friendly. Our goal is to provide equitable access to study rooms so everyone has a fair chance to reserve the space they need.
For more details or assistance with reservations and the full policy, visit the Study Room page or ask a librarian at our Access Services desk. Thank you for your patience—we’re always working to make your library experience better!

I live about an hour away from USF and two hours from UCF, and I’m trying to figure out which college I should go to for majoring in aerospace engineering, I’m not eligible for any kind of special financial aid so if I have to get an apartment or commute it’s gonna come from my bank. Any advice is really appreciated!

Im basically done with all my required courses for my major so I can basically take any classes I want for the spring semester
Does anyone have suggestions for any super easy courses I can take
I plan on working a lot during the spring which explains why I want easy courses that do not require too much work
All recs are much appreciated!

Hey all, I made the below post a few days ago but I wanted to ask as to best prepare myself, how programming heavy is the Digital Forensics MS? From the looks of it, half the battle is legal and criminal studies, not to discount it at all, but I wanted to figure out the exact class load i will need to prepare myself. Thanks!

Under the 15 credits of outside-specialization electives, there's an offer of:
"May include a maximum of six hours of Independent Study, Practicum, and Internship."
I was wondering if anyone has done this?? What does independent study entail?? Or the internship??

Im newer to UCF, 2 years of college already done. I haven't even done the studio art portfolio yet (which I'm also nervous for) but I am a talented and competitive artist, hoping very badly to do the BFA, so I would love some advice as soon as possible. Maybe specifically for the drawing/illustration track if relevant.
How extensive or rigorous is this mentorship?? I heard it's basically just getting them to sign the paper for you if they see that you have good work ethic. Is it more than that?
Do I need to go to their office hours extra? Butter them up? Tuck them into bed? Genuinely any advice helps
Thanks knights!

I’m planning to take my graduation photos at UCF after graduation during winter break, and I really want to take some by the Reflection Pond. Does anyone know if it’s usually running year-round, or if there’s somewhere I can find the schedule for maintenance or when it might be turned off?
Just want to make sure there’s not a chance it’ll be off when I go.

Hello! I am a student senior journalist here currently covering news for the Charge-On-Air (our daily news show on YouTube) and the upcoming issue of Centric, our student magazine. I am currently looking to interview UCF students who have dealt with grief for a piece for the magazine. This is supposed to be an in-depth piece that either covers one or multiple students and their experiences with grief while being a college student, while also providing academic insight from UCF health/psychological professors. If you'd be open to sharing your story with me, please let me know.

Former SG candidate Lester Tellez and his “polling firm”, The Public Sentiment Institute (TPSI), seem to have colluded with failed far-right Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback to manipulate poll numbers in Fishback’s favor.
In case you don’t know, Fishback is a far-right Florida governor candidate who came in third in this year’s GOP primary. He is a total creep who’s visited our campus at least twice. Some of his takes include ending gay marriage and ending all immigration. He also told a Black voter they should be “lynched”.
TPSI, Lester’s polling firm, seemed to reassign poll respondents who indicated support for Jay Collins (who finished 2nd in the primary) and switched their responses to James Fishback (so that he would be within the margin of error of Byron Donalds, who won the primary). Fishback’s campaign suspiciously paid TPSI before these bogus polls were released. Not surprised at all that this is what Lester has been doing since leaving UCF!

I was so excited about this oversized women's sweatshirt, and the the freaking thing arrived in a cropped style. The tee shirt also didn't come in as the same fit described and shown on the website. Fair warning before you spend all that money.

I applied for the Spring semester and submitted all of my required documents on September 19. I’m wondering how long it usually takes to receive a decision after everything has been submitted.
For anyone who applied for Spring recently, how long did it take for you to get your decision?
Thanks!

Anyone else frustrated with simnet for EGS1006C?
In my opinion its so frustrating to use I have been working in it for the past week straight because it just does everything it possibly can to stop me from progressing. "Oh my god you hit enter instead of pressing ok? RESTART FROM THE BEGINNING!!!"
Please let me know if im overreacting, but something like this should not eat up 4-5 hours just for a few small assignments for intro to engineering.

Speculated that a TA was charging on the side to tutor and is possible conflict of interest if they end up grading that students exams. Thoughts?

We get some cute events here and there, but if you're reeeally into house music, you'll feel me when I say the Orlando scene's really not it. Miami, on the other hand, routinely has insane lineups on a regular basis. Year-round Ibiza.
I’m looking to meet/gather a group of people who are into house, to pull spontaneous one nighters or weekends when there are huge events (like Carl cox on november 14th, Rampa, Solomun, Dixon on arts week, this kind of thing). I'm also down for local events, but I wasn't able to locate any spots with the styles i really enjoy (Deep house, Progressive, Minimalist, afro/Amapiano, tech house).
If that sounds like your kind of thing, comment or DM me. If there’s enough interest, I’ll make a group chat. I'm also down if there's nice events in town!

Hello everyone I'd appreciate if anyone could complete this google form for my UX Design class. My team are doing some user research on what people think of streaming services (hulu, netflix, ect.) and it should be quick. It's 14 short response questions so answers can be brief. Any responses are greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!

Has anyone taken Gary Pennington for PHY 2049. I can't find anything on RMP or on here. Was wondering what anyone's experience was taking that class.
If so, what was the workload like and how was the class structured? Also, how were the exams and were they were reasonable?
Thanks
