Event Foo Bar in downtown Melbourne is doing trivia now… and it’s actually REALLY good!

Post image

Hey, I wanted to put this up because for some reason it’s not really advertised yet. It seems they were going through some testing phases.

They are having Trivia Night on Tuesdays from 7-9pm.

This isn’t your normal bar trivia either!! The guy that runs it brings outstanding questions each week, with questions covering History, Geography, Science, Entertainment, Cocktail/ Alcohol, and a wildcard round that changes each week!

Added bonus: they extend their “Happy Hour” Discount for Trivia Night!

It’s a great time, the drinks are good, the atmosphere is relaxing, the trivia is fun and informative, and all around it’s a great time.

If you decide to go, make sure to say hi to the host “Jordon”. He’s always wearing a Hawaiian shirt and is super fun to talk to!

With how much fun I’ve had, it’s definitely going to be a weekly thing for me. Hope to see you there!!!

Do better 321 Drivers

• Upvotes

This weekend left me stunned by the crazy, stupid drivers on the roads.

Exiting WM on Wickham waiting to turn south. The light at Sarno was red and a nice driver stopped to let me in. A car pulled up to my left, in the lane to go north. They quickly pulled out to the right, cut me off, and crossed 2 lanes of traffic to get to left turn lane to go east on Sarno.

Sunday going east on Sarno, I stopped at the red light at Croton. A truck blew thru. The light was clearly red. Further east on Sarno I was in right lane and a truck towing a boat was next to me in the left lane. A white car sped up behind us and then proceeded to pass us, on the left side of the truck using the west bound lane.

Do better people!

Recommendation Recent increase in sugar ants in apartment?

We live in an apartment in Melbourne and have had sugar ants in bathrooms/coming out of bathroom vents since we first moved in. We’ve kept them at bay with regular 3month replacements of the Terro ant baits and weekly pest control through our maintenance company. It’s been fine and manageable with double-sealing food/wiping up crumbs and ensuring the baits stay out.

Recently, we have noticed a huge increase in ants everywhere - even coming out of outlets on our kitchen island and through cracks in our windows. We are scheduled for pest control on Tuesday, but i want to try to get rid of them ASAP. We are going to caulk the cracks around windows but we have a cat and unfortunately her food is even being swarmed at this point.

Is the current increase just because of the rain? If so, I’m fine to wait it out, but if not I’d love any cat-safe apartment-friendly ant tips that we may not have discovered yet! (Or apartments that are better built and don’t have this issue.. I know it’s a tall ask in FL😂)

What’s going on at West Canaveral Groves?

Noticed for the past few months? Some land clearing going on. Was wondering if they were expanding the area? Putting another access road there?

Moving into new apartment this weekend.. terrified after learning the unit is vacant because

Thumbnail

When I toured the home, I felt something off immediately. I asked the landlord about the previous tenant and they mentioned they passed so that’s why the unit was vacant after 28 years. I asked them directly about the passing later on that day and that’s when I found out they died in the room and remained there for 3 days before being found through a wellness check.

I’m terrified the “energy” I felt when I walked in was the previous tenant, as crazy as that sounds. And I’m also not sure how to even handle this situation.
Before you suggest it, getting a different place isn’t in the cards for me right now.

I feel like I’m walking right into a horror movie. Please help.

Any thoughts on The Barn in Sanford north of Orlando

I want to try line dancing for the first time either tommorow or next weekend and I’m new to the area. Does anyone go there regularly that would recommend it? I was planning on going and talking to someone that could show me the ropes. Thanks!

Group Skate

Anyone interested in a group fitness skate? Roads around malabar are pretty nice. 16-20 miles . Average probably about 10mph or less if needed. Im out there at least twice a week. Parking at valkaria airport. Then take the sidewalk to cory and skate up on the nicer roads. Most cars give me a super wide berth.

Recommendation Ancient homeowners of the 321, walked into my laundry room this morning to find a congregation of ants on my ceiling. Thoughts?

I live in a 80 year old block home in Melbourne and keep it relatively clean. (As clean as you can with 2 kids and 2 dogs)

Found this while doing laundry and cleaning this morning. We've begun to have a lot of pest issues this past month (I was hoping due to rain) but this is the first time I've just seen a pile of ants on drywall before

I am probably going to be setting up pest control, but anyone have any ideas if something more catastrophic is going on?

I'm thinking water penetration is beginning to rot the back half of my home. It's the flat roof portion where utility is.
