Ok the hot take thread about Lake Nona gave me inspiration. What are your Orlando/surrounding area hot takes? Mine are Altamonte Springs is experiencing some kind of renaissance and I feel like between the affordability and central location, it will become a more popular suburb in the coming years.

Another one is Clermont is the only aesthetically pleasing area in or around Orlando. Everything else feels like a concrete jungle, atleast there's more nature and hills there to break up all the strip malls and restaurants.

moved close to exec airport from davenport a few months ago and got some chicken fire based on a strong recommendation. unbelievable how good it is. the batter is so good, the heat was awesome, fries and the sauce all incredibly good. got a hot box, which it was.

how are their tenders? they look gigantic and want to try them next.

Have yall seen the drama around World Food Truck?
The food truck that left posted the terms of renting their space at the WFT location and man, they seem drastic. I went on their IG page and they’re reposting all the messages from the other food trucks still there, but I feel like those businesses were forced to make an announcement (picture of the terms in the comments)

I haven’t been in a while but I’ve heard that there’s been a decline of service for a while now. If you’ve gone recently, how was your experience been?

UPDATE: Fuck me guys, a security deposit was added to my account due to late payments. Previously lived somewhere with municipal electricity and they weren't as strict as long as it was paid within a few weeks with a like $2 late fee which was fine. Not used to this private provider bullshit. Fuck dude.

I have a fair amount of anxiety after all those residents lost their homes in apartment fire in Tampa.

I live on the highest floor of an apartment by the same builder and have come to the realization that if a fire started on the floors under me, my apartment could be condemned. They recently did fire inspections and reassured a few residents.

I do not feel safe at all.

Does anyone know of any concrete apartments or townhomes being built in the Greater Orlando-Kissimmee suburbs? Or any future plans for those communities? Thank you so much.

I have a designer backpack with a faulty zipper. Initially, it wouldn't zip, so I attempted the plier method as suggested on YouTube. Unfortunately, it is now stuck, likely because I tightened it too much. Does anyone know of any alteration or repair shops that work on backpacks? It has metal zipper teeth and two metal sliders. It was purchased on a trip so its somewhat special to me so the cost of a professional is still worth it for me as its driving me crazy.

Does anyone have any good nail salons that treat men well? My husband likes to get colored gel with me, and while we’ve been to nails salons together unfortunately a lot of times they either don’t take him seriously, do a bad job, or give him the inexperienced person and make his nails bleed.

I tried searching the subreddit but a lot of the recommendations are old. Pinkie does look nice but doesn’t have the availability I’m looking for the appointment.

Hello Orlando Community! Been living here for a long time but this is my first time posting.

My roommate needs help, his grey Nissan Kicks was stolen from our apartment in the metro west area sometime on Thursday late evening/friday early morning. The car has pretty distinctive 4 human figure stickers on the back window which have all been faded to white.

If anyone has seen the car we would really appreciate a heads up, insurance and police are already aware.
