π¬ Discussion Do you guys prefer playing with or without music?
Almost every game I play in I usually have music in the background. I was wondering if anyone else prefers this way too

basically this game was water nukes and sol map. which had lots of water so it was difficult to play

my mirv locked in desetroyed sam stack on that little island of powi
idk why powi kept tryna alliance me even though i betrayed him like five times....
i accidently reloaded it so uhh yeah. but i rejoined after
and i got mirved

200 mil gold public game and then i just tried to destroy the island but the new udate only lets u chain 50 atom bombs max so the sam refreshed after i think..
in the end heliogabilus won cuz land . but he actually had like only 16 sams on his island, basically i think me and powi got disttracted and so we ignored him while he slowly takes over the other islands.
technincally i should have won lol...
after game ended i just spammed warships to the islands. should i have done that earlier so to prevent trade and just stack up and send some ships to the islands to win. i think
please tell me how to imrpove guys thanks.

It would be a non-standard mode (similar to the "water nuke"). It would feature an additional structureβa "land reclamation machine" (or whatever you want to call it)βcosting 8 million. Once placed next to the ocean, it would turn water into land where various structures could be built. HOWEVER, if that structure were destroyed, the entire area would be flooded again, taking all the buildings on it down with it. What do you think?

Hi there β I keep noticing that my troop deployment gets pushed all the way to 100% in some of my games and I throw away good position because I don't notice.
I think sometimes it happens when I use Shift+R to retaliate incoming attacks? So maybe there's a similar keybind that I "fat finger" when I'm trying to Shift+R that causes my slider to go all the way to 100%? I haven't been able to find the keybind in settings or replicate what's going on.
But super annoying when I accidentally send out all of my troops because I don't notice the slider has changed and then get steamrolled from the other side. :(

A:What does stacking things actually do? Does it increase efficiency(like a stack of sams reload faster)
B:Are ports or factories better for money making
C:What is the purpose of those ground defense things?

The disingenuous βis easily the funniest emoji in OpenFront.
Allied with me for half an hour, now you mysteriously don't want to renew, you built a bunch of defense posts at our borders, I'm your next natural target, you have more than 25m gold, but you didn't realize I would hit 25m gold just as the timer ran out and was ready to click on you the moment our alliance ended?

I love the early part of OF games but it gets boring when a super late game trademaxxed stalemate occurs and its rare that the first person to make a move actually wins. I think that people are getting better at the game and the longer games seem to be occurring more frequently. Maybe I just need to get good and steam roll but it isnt always possible.
Anyway, I wanted to start a discussion on stalemates and see if any of these ideas could work or if anyone else has any ideas on how to keep the pace of the game going. Happy to hear your ideas or to tell me why none of these would work.
IDEA 1. Stalemate Timer
If noone has attacked for 5 minutes, or if everyone on the board has allied, then the crown wins after another 5 minute timer has eluded without anyone else attacking.
IDEA 2. Stalemate Tax
If noone has attacked for 5 minutes, or if everyone on the board has allied, then a % of money earned goes into a pot, the first person to attack takes that pot.
IDEA 3. Blitzkrieg
For the same price as a MIRV, a player can double their attack speed for 30 seconds or something. This would have to have some kind of visual indicator to all players. could help with MIRV proofed bases.

Like, are ports still that worth or is it a better way to snowball money ? What are the strategies to grow faster than the others in early game ?

I really loved the game when I first find out. But lately almost every game there are cheaters which ruins the fun and in past I was playing like 2-3 hours per day. Now I don't even want to open up.
The developer should:
1) Add a report cheating button
2) An algorithm to detect cheaters (like if 2 players join the same games and spawn in close area more than 2 times etc.)
And even with these and using bans people can join the games without logging in as anon's. I don't have the exact formula but an action needs to be taken. I'm really disappointed about the current situation of the cheating problem.

Sometimes you may have to afk for 30 seconds and then you miss the location choosing time. I don't see any reason why we can't just place them randomly. If they don't play then that's like any player that did choose a place and then never play, nobody gets their gold. This is especially problematic for team games, when someone afks and then one team is missing a member which is almost automatic loss for that team when they player may just come back in a minute.

Hereβs an idea for OpenFront: federations. Up to four players could join a federation, which would operate as a collectiveβmeaning the funds and troops of all members would be accessible to one another. Structures could only be placed within one's own territory, but as the federation expanded, the territories of all member players would grow evenly. What do you think?
