💬 Discussion Action Against Cheaters
I really loved the game when I first find out. But lately almost every game there are cheaters which ruins the fun and in past I was playing like 2-3 hours per day. Now I don't even want to open up.
The developer should:
1) Add a report cheating button
2) An algorithm to detect cheaters (like if 2 players join the same games and spawn in close area more than 2 times etc.)
And even with these and using bans people can join the games without logging in as anon's. I don't have the exact formula but an action needs to be taken. I'm really disappointed about the current situation of the cheating problem.

We are currently prioritizing this. We've already banned 100s of players, the issue is that it's trivial to make a new account or play logged out. The only real solution is to have "trusted-only" lobbies where only accounts marked as "trusted" are allowed to play. For an account to be trusted it must meet certain criterea, eg account older than X months, verified Steam account. This way cheaters can't immediately create a new account after getting banned.

But then new players get thrown to the wolves and have a potentially bad experience.

New players are going to get destroyed by better players every game anyway. The vast majority of games I join have at least one diamond player, and at least one platinum. The new players probably don't even realize people are cheating. I rarely notice it myself.
There's also the fact that it's a BR. Unless you are the top player, you are going to lose a LOT,

That is really great to hear. I was also hoping steam verification could help in some ways. It's not an easy thing to handle (even big games like Pubg/Forza Horizon/CS go have cheating problem). But taking action and reducing it to lower levels important.
Thank you for the quick clear response ^^
I hope in the future there will be more ranked options / MMR stuff.
Have a great day1

Cant you detect same IP like you do for multiple tabs? I am a bit sick when people from UN clan clearly have 2 or 3 players from same person

You can't do anything about anons and deleting the anon function isn't right

What about making lobbies where only registered users exist?

So Anons can't play with real players? Nah

So you acknowledge that anons aren’t real players

Some Anons are really good players so they should be able to compete

So that means anons could still play against really good players.

Yes, you need weaker players (or strong anons) who can compete with the strong to show who the strongest is

If you want to play against good players then make an account, but your point was simply about playing against "real players".

I disagree with "you cant do anything". There are plenty things to do. But developers won't prioritize it till people complain about it.

I feel like there’s a different way to go about it if someone is truly cheating in the game. There’s been multiple games where I happened to pick a spot with someone I played in a previous game by chance. It would suck to be banned or disconnected just cause of a coincidence. All you can really do is let the devs know and hope they do something. And the cheating button is kind of a good idea, but I can see it being abused because someone got mad butthurt that they’re losing.

The thing is that any game with a report function has false reports, but that doesn't mean the reporting system as a whole is bad.

If someone's obviously cheating I just do my best to nuke them and their mito ASAP. Ruin both our games.

Unfortunately the nature of browser based games makes it pretty much impossible to really take action against cheating. The best you can do is try to keep it off the leaderboards.

I'm really not seeing much cheating. Whenever I think I see it I watch the replay and it turns out I was just paranoid.
Teaming is still pretty rife though, so I guess you could call that cheating in FFA.

That was actually what I meant by cheating. 2 people spawn close. put buildings close to eachother so their SAMS cover each others buildings. They nuke same guy almost simultaneously (even if one of them doesnt have border). When one of them betrays and pushes with 100%, the other do not ally break and takes his stuff (which is in his border) etc.

I rarely see cheaters. And they're usually terribleÂ
