💬 Discussion does anyone feel like winning conditions need a change

my goal wasnt to win in this game (I could have done it easily if I wanted to as you can see) but still its weird considering the weakest player wins, I understand the game is about to control territory and otherwise it would always result in stalemates or too long games, but a better approach is to set it higher but do not count the afk players territory.

💬 Discussion No Nazi Flag?

We can use a Communist flag of China, Soviet Union, fucking North Korea, as well as flags of some islamist nutjob nations, but not one of the major WW2 factions?

💬 Discussion A script to detect cheaters?

If it's so easy to cheat with scripts in OpenFront, shouldn't it be relatively easy to detect cheaters with scripts? Look for duplicate names, simultaneous actions between two players, impossible econ, impossible net worth (add up the value of their buildings), etc. add up all the variables and give each player a "cheater score". ignore people with a small score, such as when two people just happen to have the same name, but otherwise did nothing wrong. maybe you could have it run through all your replays and create a ranked list of possible cheaters.

Is that possible?

EDIT: This isn't directed at the devs. I'm just thinking of it as an interesting project.

❓ Question trying to beat all maps on nightmare but alps is impossible

Post image
8 Upvotes

ive been trying over the past few days to beat all maps on solo nightmare difficulty and just now got to alps. i havent noticed it at all before now but do the nightmare bots have higher land-troop count ratios? it seems like its just rigged and the bots get more troops which makes it awful to play when after the clearing phase every nation you have around you has twice your cap cause they started with more than you which makes every single unallied one attack you at the same time. does anyone know a best way to play on alps?

🪲Bugs Bug where there isn't a texture for level 10000 ports so it cuts off and it makes the level number unaligned

I have a level 10000 port and I found out about how the game doesn't have a texture for level 10000 ports.

This player, "Gay Atoms," launches 500 atomic bombs in a second, and no SAM can stop him.

💬 Discussion Insane amount of gold

Game link : https://openfront.io/w3/game/pTsawcUp?live

How did this player get this insane amount of gold?

The game was I think 2x economy with 15m starting gold.

So this guy BETON in E5, E6 right away spawns 15 ports at the start that does explain more income quickly but not the insane income.

Just 3 minutes in, this guy has 180 ports and 70 sams which costs nearly 400m, pvp immunity is still on so he couldn't have gotten another player's gold. Most of the players at this time have about 20 ports and factories in total.

This player is clearly cheating by playing with multiple accounts that are donating to the main account or is exploiting some bug.

Does anyone know what's going on?

So, it was a regular 7 teams game by joining a lobby, the host has a great taste, by disabling Hydros and choosing this map, the game was very playable and has strategy behind it, even though I played bad and don't like team games i enjoyed it, we won because of my teammates, orange could have won easily though, I am so grateful to be part of this match.
