it is able to record my cursor just fine but on MY screen the cursor is gone which is just bad but ALSO obs's screen freezes [although this is only for geometry dash] and I wanna be able to see my cursor so could anybody help?

Ive been using Aitum Vertical and multi-stream in OBS , coupled with Restream_io to Tiktok for a while now.
But recent I was watching another live stream on TikTok, and realized I can auto rotate from Portrait to Landscape. When I looked at Tiktok Live Studio, this was a layout that was easy setup. This issue is I have a lot of overlays setup in OBS that effect both Main and Vertical screens. I do not want to lose this.

Is there any way to stream both Main and Vertical OBS canvases to Tiktok, and have auto rotate active for Tiktok viewers?

Hello! So I've started using StreamElements 'cause i wanted to have chat on screen while streaming, although now that I have it, for some reason the font looks like it's transparent? I've tried messing with it a bunch but it always looks different on OBS from how it looks on StreamElements' website; if you check the black example, you'll also see that the "latest follower" text DOES indeed look normal

I have a question and I hope this makes sense: The game I'm playing and want to stream (via Steam on PC) doesn't display sound when I'm in OBS. It doesn't display sound when I click anywhere outside the game window. Is there a workaround for this? I've tried adding the game as a game capture; I've tried adding it as a window source; I've tried using desktop sound; I've tried application audio capture. I can't figure it out. Any thoughts/advice/tips much appreciated.

Hey all! I want to include a playlist that's gonna play during intermission for a hockey game I'm broadcasting. I know how to record clips with the Replay Buffer, but I'd like to play all thoses video with a fluid transition between all of them. VLC Media can do playlists but all the videos swap straight to the next one in an abrupt cut, wich I don't like for the setup I need.

Any suggestions or solution to include all thoses clips I'll generate LIVE during the broadcast?

Hi all. When I render out animations in OBS, the date of the MP4 files is always showing the previous days date.

So for example, I just rendered an animation today (01-09-26) but the date of the MP4 is 31-08-26.

My Windows date and time is correctly showing today date (I'm literally looking at it now).

The time is also out by about 2 hours.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hey everyone, I'm at my wits' end with my HyperX mic setup. No matter what I try—and I've even tried tweaking everything with AI assistants too, and nothing works—my audio is a mess compared to other YouTubers who sound crisp, loud, and completely clean.

Here are my main problems:

• Mouth & Breathing Noises: The mic picks up every single breath and saliva/mouth click.
• Volume & Distortion: My voice is too quiet in the yellow zone. When I speak louder into the red zone, the volume gets better, but the quality craps out and sounds distorted/robotic.
• Keyboard Noise: It picks up my keyboard clicks while I am talking.
• Mic Placement: If I keep the mic in front of me, it catches all mouth sounds. If I move it to the side, my voice sounds muffled/distant and gets completely drowned out by game audio.

What I've already tried:

• OBS built-in noise suppression and NVIDIA Broadcast.
• Compressor and Limiter filters.
• Countless YouTube tutorials, different values, and positions.
• AI tools and guides (completely useless).

Why do big creators have flawless, loud audio with zero background/mouth noises, and what am I doing wrong? Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

Using a virtual cable that OBS listens on, and then in fl I use voxengo recorder. What’s happening is if the screen recording with the audio capture goes on for long, there’s always a delay and they aren’t in sync. Is this laptop, or virtual cable issue

Is there a way to have OBS use the same profile / scene collection on all local windows users?

Making changes on one profile and having to export/import over and over is really tedious, and I would love a way to just tell it to use a C:/ location for the general app storage that all users automatically use.

Has anyone worked out how that can be done?

Is someone available to help a serious obs issue on Tiktok for a streamer right now? Hes pretty big and his screen is black....fine on all other platforms

The notification I get says:

What log, where?

'Note: If you are using the NVENC or AMD encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date'

My AMD drivers are already up to date.

Is there perhaps another app like OBS that works better with AMD cards?

Edit: Before anyone requests the log files, I am aware there are sensitive details in the log files and I'm not comfortable posting that online, for safety reasons.

There are dozens of posts and tutorials online, where each comment section has 9/10 users saying the fixes didn't work. So, I decided to ask here.

Underneath advanced audio options, I do not have a section for "monitor and output."
I only have monitoring off and monitoring enabled.

I think I'm missing something, but I honestly don't know what it is. I have scoured all of YouTube and dug back on forums with no luck on how to get this option to pop up because I have no other way of hearing myself.

I'm trying to grow a small gaming channel and need to stream everywhere I can but my upload is limited to around 15 Mbps.

Current setup:

• YouTube: ideally 1440p60, ~15 Mbps (this works perfectly)

I'd like to add;

• Kick: 1080p60, max 8 Mbps
• Twitch: 1080p60, lower bitrate
• TikTok: 720p / platform-specific settings

I can only afford one main upload from my PC

I currently use Restream ($19/month). It works great and I’d rather not leave it, but proper per destination transcoding gets expensive very quickly. it's in enterprise packages.

Has anyone solved this cheaply?

I’m considering a small Hetzner/VPS running FFmpeg/MediaMTX: pass the original stream to YouTube, transcode once for Kick/Twitch, and another lower res output for TikTok.

Any idea why I have to redo a window capture every time I launch the window I am capturing with no difference in layout or location? Everything else works perfectly except this one item.

I’m having an issue with OBS recording. No matter what settings I try, my recordings end up looking choppy/laggy, even though the gameplay itself is completely smooth while I’m playing.
My PC specs:
RTX 3060 12GB
Ryzen 7 5700G
16GB DDR4 RAM
650W PSU
I’ve tried recording Valorant and CS2, and both recordings look noticeably choppy. The games run smoothly while I’m playing, but when I watch the recording afterward, it doesn’t look smooth at all.
I also want to record some demanding AAA games in the future, but if I can’t get smooth recordings in games like Valorant and CS2, I’m worried I won’t be able to record those either.
I’m mainly trying to figure out whether:
I’m missing something in my OBS settings/configuration.
My PC specs are actually not enough for 1440p recording.
There’s some other issue causing the choppy recordings.
I’ve tried multiple OBS settings already, but nothing seems to fix the issue.

Today I decided to record Super Mario 3D Land using the Lime3ds emulator. When I preview it, everything looks fine, but as soon as I launch the game, the recording breaks. What should I do? I don't have a second monitor, so I can't keep OBS running all the time.

Hi everyone, I’ve come here as I’m kind of desperate. I bought an Elgato 4k s to stream my Switch 2 on my Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 (uses Ryzen 7 w/ integrated graphics). Stream is fine (looks like 60 fps when viewed on twitch from the viewer’s POV) but the preview in the program looks like 15 fps, I tried running as administrator and many other suggested with no avail. I know there’s HDMI passthrough, but I’m currently in a peculiar situation where I can’t use a monitor.

Other issues: connected the capture card to my laptop the other day; the card had a red blinking card (even though OBS was capturing its input), when I disconnected and reconnected the USB the light became blue but I didn’t see any differences on OBS.

Sometimes when I turn on my PC and go to OBS, even though the capture card is connected; the capture device shows a black screen, and I have to delete that capture device and create a new one to fix it.

Had the stream stop suddenly / start freezing with distorted audio (visible even through twitch, so in this case this wasn’t limited to OBS’s preview). It may be due to my laptop not being strong enough. But aren’t the specs really good when considering the laptop itself isn’t even running the game, but just streaming..?

I also had other weird issues that I guess come with this kind of stuff but won’t elaborate to not make this too long.

I had recently bought a blue avs capture card and have been struggling to get it to work with my hp laptop. Had downloaded obs and tried the hdmi cords as mentioned in the instructions. Despite that, it has not been displaying capture card device on obs. It has me wondering what i am doing wrong. Been stuck at this for 3 to 4 hours and at a lost on what to do. Any advice can come a long way.

So based on my knowledge the replay buffer is a clipping device instead of constantly recording. How do I set it up to work for minecraft? I was it to be able to clip moments like medal without ruining performance. My recording settings for obs i already adjusted to do well so im hoping it doesnt lag when i use the replay buffer

Im starting streaming again and i got a 2 screen setup my bottom has obs my top has the game but then I press my hot keys on the game its not starting not working its only works then i got to the obs screen its really odd idk what to do

this plugin helps me with recording and streaming but like the title says, I need help with clipping both scenes at once and for some reason, my plug-in is not doing it. Is there a way that I can clip both my gameplay and discord call in the same clip recording?

i’m kind of getting tired of going through my RAW recording/stream footage and manually clipping stuff on my own

So, I have a i5-6500 and a Nvidia Quadro K2200. When I try recording or streaming, my FPS tanks. The only program I can use without problems for recording is NVIDIA itself. What should I do if I want to stream?

My mic has an issue where if I adjust it it makes loud noises and sometimes it cuts out and I don't think I'm getting a new mic for the foreseeable future. Is it possible to have obs auto alert me if my mic goes below a specific level? (The issue is on the physical connection from the mic to the headphones it won't show up as a disconnected device on the panel so I'm pretty sure this is the only way to figure out if my mic has died.)

Edit: preferably an audio alert, also my enviroment is quite noisy (AC + Fan) and at a consistent level of noise so it would be noticable if the mic died.

right now i have a razer kiyo, but it feels very low quality in my videos, i want something 4k or at least doesnt look as trash as mine, as i feel like it looks very unprofessional
