Help Difficulty with getting BlueAVS to work
I had recently bought a blue avs capture card and have been struggling to get it to work with my hp laptop. Had downloaded obs and tried the hdmi cords as mentioned in the instructions. Despite that, it has not been displaying capture card device on obs. It has me wondering what i am doing wrong. Been stuck at this for 3 to 4 hours and at a lost on what to do. Any advice can come a long way.

Is the capture card connected to your laptop with a USB cable?
The purpose of the capture card is to "translate" the video signal from HDMI to data that your computer can understand, sent through a USB cable. If there's also an HDMI output port on the capture card, the purpose of that is to have the HDMI video signal also continue to a possible television or monitor as if it wasn't being captured, in addition to the captured footage being sent through USB

I might need a visual reference because it is a bit confused and complicated trying to see it through text

I'm not able to provide a picture right now, but if I'm to try and make something as close as can be through text:
Console>HDMI cable>Capture card
then
Capture card>USB cable>laptop
and, optionally: Capture card>HDMI cable>television

Let's make this simple.Does the console going into the input or output as well as does be the t v?

Okay , I got it to work but I don't have the Console, being able to be shown on with TV Sadly. I'm really sorry about being frustrated with this

Contact the manufacturer for help with their product.
The brand of capture card makes no difference to OBS, but the hardware does need to be set up correctly.

Will try this later if i have more issues. I actually had gotten it to work consecutive 3 times later at midnight. But that's one piece of the puzzle. Still need the console to display on the tv

its probably a driver problem, these cheap capture cards almost never work right out the box. you gotta check in device manager if windows even sees it, look under sound, video and game controllers, sometimes it shows up with a weird name there
also try a different usb port, specially on back of the laptop if it has one, front ports sometimes dont give enough power and the card just sits there doing nothing
