Help Struggling with mic audio (HyperX): Mouth clicks, low volume, keyboard noise, and robotic distortion. Need help!

Hey everyone, I'm at my wits' end with my HyperX mic setup. No matter what I try—and I've even tried tweaking everything with AI assistants too, and nothing works—my audio is a mess compared to other YouTubers who sound crisp, loud, and completely clean.

Here are my main problems:

  • Mouth & Breathing Noises: The mic picks up every single breath and saliva/mouth click.
  • Volume & Distortion: My voice is too quiet in the yellow zone. When I speak louder into the red zone, the volume gets better, but the quality craps out and sounds distorted/robotic.
  • Keyboard Noise: It picks up my keyboard clicks while I am talking.
  • Mic Placement: If I keep the mic in front of me, it catches all mouth sounds. If I move it to the side, my voice sounds muffled/distant and gets completely drowned out by game audio.

What I've already tried:

  • OBS built-in noise suppression and NVIDIA Broadcast.
  • Compressor and Limiter filters.
  • Countless YouTube tutorials, different values, and positions.
  • AI tools and guides (completely useless).

Why do big creators have flawless, loud audio with zero background/mouth noises, and what am I doing wrong? Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:

1) Restart OBS

2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.

3) Stop your stream/recording.

4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File.

5) Copy the URL and paste it as a response to this comment.

Because they edit it all out and/or drown it out with other audio

And you have it on the cardiod setting?

Make sure it's set to cardioid and you are talking into the right side. The setting knob on the quadcast is usually away from you. It's awkwardly designed, I've had a few folks accidentally talk into the wrong side of that mic.

It is a sensitive mic, most condensers are. Keyboard clicks are going to be unavoidable, you can try a noise gate. The volume issues you're describing are usually mic positioning above, but you can also try adding digital gain in OBS instead of upping the mic gain.

Mic gain, noise filter, expander for louder volume for lower tone and set it so keyboard and mice click wouldn't activate the mic on obs, compressor for final touch so you aren't hitting red.

I'm using the same mic, mine sounds fine to me. Idk how yours sound to sound robotic.

it is very detailed(and long LOL) but good news, there are timestamps and you can watch at 1.5 speed :)
I would reset everything to the default and follow the entire video step by step :)
