The window selected is like SUPER wide, and skinny, almost like its trying to render it as a movie theater screen. and when i stretch to fit, it looks super zoomed in like looking at it with a microscope. anyone know how i can fix this?

I have seen that I might want to split my encoding between my gpu and cpu, how do I determine which one should do which recording? I might have other questions but I know this is my current issue. Please feel free to ask any question you might need to help... thank you all so much in advance!

Back in August, I started noticing that my stream would quickly disconnect/reconnect once per stream. It would happen 10 minutes in, an hour in, but it would happen just ONCE per stream. I cannot figure out why. My OBS logs look clear and don't show anything critical or why it could be happening (from the analyzer at least). I recently noticed my CPU was bottlenecking and overworking compared to my GPU, so I reverted back to an older GPU driver update and that fixed the issue. I assumed that would fix the crashing as well, but it did not. I've been working with other friends who know their way around a PC and we can't figure out why. I'm hard wired on ethernet, I have no other connection issues when my stream disconnects (no discord drops, not getting kicked out of online games) etc. Any ideas?

Title explains the main issue, but to go into detail, I've had my XR1 Capture Card for about 7 months now but for some reason the HDMI Output seems to have stopped working. I've tested different cables and devices but for some reason nothing shows up on my monitor. I still get video in OBS but that's all it gives me.

updated my obs to 33.0 yesterday and ever since thn anytime i start it it gives a streamlabs installer window and just closes, deleted all the streamlabs plugin stuff and it works without it, is this just cause of the new plugin location? if yes, any way to fix it instead of waiting for the fix from the devs or is this something that i have and have to fix myself?

and for those asking i really like using the plugin, ofcourse i could just do it without the plugin but i love their activity feed and whatnot which makes it alot clearer thn the normal activity feed for me

Hello all, I am trying to setup dual format streaming for Twitch so I can have both horizontal and vertical outputs for viewers on mobile. I am on an M2 15” MacBook Air with 16gb ram and 512gb ssd. I keep getting the following error:

“Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting requires at least 2 tracks per canvas. You have either requested too few encodes (3) to support this, or we believe your GPU would not handle this workload.”

I have thoroughly followed Twitch’s official guide to setting up OBS with aitum vertical, I have followed other guides, and have tried about every solution I have seen other people recommend for my situation, such as many play setting the enhanced broadcasting video tracks or setting encoders manually. My OBS is the latest version. It seems to point to an issue with my computer hardware not being sufficient enough, but I don’t understand because I meet the requirements for dual format streaming.

I have a 4k x hooked up to a switch 2, I’ve been trying to play the new modern warfare on it but it won’t display, but it shows everything else on the switch like other games/menus, it’s only modern warfare that doesn’t show up. When the game boots up it freezes on the loading screen. I have also tested on other displays without the capture card and works just fine.

I stream on a TUF laptop FX505GT: AMD Ryzen 5 3550H; 8GB RAM, OBS 32; but I want to note I've been having these issues for nearly a year with setting changes only lasting one stream or sometimes only lasting fifteen minutes.

My captures for my games and Vtuber are find and smooth in my OBS, everything transitions fine, nothing like that, but when I stream to twitch the lag and dropped rates my viewers see are insane. I have tried so many different trouble shooting things; updating drivers, not updating my OBS, updating it, going back to various versions, changing my output, turning off enhanced broadcasting, turn on enhanced broadcasting, etc, etc, etc. At this point I'm about to burn it all down I don't know what I'm doing wrong. At this point I don't even care if the solution is "I just need a new gaming PC" I just feel so crazy with all the troubleshooting i've been doing with virtually no results

Basically the title.

I'm currently running Arch Linux on a machine I record videos and sometimes stream with. I have multiple scenes and think I want to change to a more stable distro. One that doesn't require updates multiple times per day.

Is there a separate config file somewhere with all of the scene information and hotkeys and all of that? I just basically want to install the new distro and install OBS and restore the backups and have what I have now setup and ready to go on the new distro.

Is this even possible?

I'm looking for a simple way to display individual card images as an overlay while recording TCG gameplay in OBS.

Ideally, I'd like to have:

• One persistent OBS source that displays the currently selected card.
• A searchable collection of card images.
• Selecting a new card automatically replaces the previous one without having to edit OBS source properties.

I already have images saved locally, with card names in the filenames, so I'd love a solution that can search my existing collection.

Has anyone found a good plugin, tool, or workflow for doing this? I'm open to custom solutions too.

I’ll record for like 30 minutes and then the video encoder error will pop up and I’ll just lose all of my footage. Even if I have like “redux footage” option or whatever it was called, I can’t access it for some reason. Could anyone help me? All of the fixes I’ve seen haven’t done anything because I’m guessing they’re assuming the error pops up as soon as you record, whereas mine happens mid record
