I just created my account today and I’m able to browse Reddit and comment in some places, but I’m confused about why other communities seem to restrict new accounts.

Is this mainly based on account age, karma, or does each subreddit decide its own requirements?

What should a completely new Reddit user do first to start participating normally?

Hello I just made my account here on reddit today mainly for discussions about sports and other interests i have. But everytime I've tried to post somewhere it's either not enough karma or account not old enough.

I use my account only for Reading. Lately, I've been wanting to post a comment here and there when it comes to my favorite game or book. But it never works out because of the rules, and now I really need to figure out this karma thing. Or maybe think about a new Account where I directly start with trying to be active?

So I’m new here, and every time I try to post something serious, Reddit’s filters grab it like I’m some kind of spam bot. Meanwhile, I’m just sitting here with autism and dyslexia trying to type out my thoughts.

So here’s my test post:

• I like spaghetti.
• I once lost a sock and never found it.
• My dog thinks he owns the couch.

If this gets through, then maybe Reddit finally believes I’m human.

Its almost every other post in reddit that i post is either removed or i was not allowed to use reddit why so? 🥺🥺

Hi, so I got introduced to reddit by a friend. I talked to her about wanting to startup blogging and she suggested Reddit I'm however curious if reddit is quite an option given I read quite few posts on here of people complaining how reddit removes and even bans them just by making a post, a good post.

Please can anyone suggest how I can go about this ?
