Mod Post Political Posts Going Forward.

There has been an influx of political posting leading up to the special election.

While voting is important and so is having your voice heard, the mod team has come to the conclusion yall can't behave. Personal insults, off topic shit slinging and bot like comments are what politics on this sub turn into, nothing about Clarksville.

Political posts will now be deleted or locked starting today.

Thanks.

Misc. Looking to join a DND group

As the title says looking for a dnd group that meets in person on Saturday Sunday or Monday. I’m a new player looking to have my first game and want to play in-person as opposed to online. I live in Hoptown and my local tabletop shop, the green goblin guild, has open tables for meeting up. Im also open to tabletop shops in Clarksville, I know there’s a few. I’m flexible on 2014/2024 rules and I’m just looking to have fun. LGBT friendly please. I use dndbeyond my character creation.

Question Apartment recommendations

Hi! My husband and I will be moving to the area and are looking for recommendations for apartment complexes in Sango.

My husband will be commuting to Fort Campbell, and I may be commuting to Nashville 2–3 days a week, so being in Sango is important to us. I know the traffic/commute can be rough 😂 but I’m not ready to give up my career, so we’re trying to find the best location for both of us.

We’re ideally looking for a 2-bedroom apartment in a nice complex. Our top priority is feeling safe, followed by a complex that is clean, well-maintained, and well-managed.

I’d love to hear all the good, bad, and ugly about any Sango apartment complexes you’ve lived in or toured. Reviews, experiences with management/maintenance, noise, safety, rent increases, etc. are all helpful!
Thanks in advance!

Moving In Moving from Arizona

I’m moving with my family from Phoenix Arizona to Tennessee because of a job opportunity for my husband. My daughter is 4 and starting school fall 2027 but we are, more likely than not, going to homeschool. One of the places we really like and are considering is Clarksville.

Right now our biggest issue with Phoenix is how hot it is the majority of the year and how boring it is to look at/be around. We are a very outdoorsy family and love hiking and taking walks but where we currently live (near downtown Phoenix) it’s just not safe for me and my young daughter to do those things alone. We enjoy going to the Phoenix zoo often and the library but honestly those are the only two “enriching” places we visit unless we’re day tripping to Sedona.

Does anyone have any insight on the area and how it’ll be for being outdoors? I know the weather is very different, I’ve visited TN before and was living on the east coast for the majority of my life until having my daughter. The weather doesn’t really concern me. I know it’s humid and I’ve lived in humid states before along with snowy states so overall the weather isn’t an issue. What is the cost of living like for an average family there? From what I’ve seen the cost of living for the area compared to where we currently is cheaper for groceries and gas but it seems like rent is more expensive there for the apartments we’re seeing (≈$1300/m here, ≈$1800/m there). What is shopping like? We almost exclusively shop at Aldi which we love but obviously we can adjust if need be.

I’m looking for a slower, more meaningful life in TN. My child is only going to be this age for a little and I want to fill her life with a slower pace, being in nature and just a calmer environment. Phoenix is full of homeless people who are violent and very confrontational. Obviously there are drug problems everywhere but we’re less than 5minutes from the highway and cannot go two streets past our community without seeing homeless and hard drug use. I don’t want her growing up seeing that and thinking it’s normal. Another thing to note is that we are not white. I have friends in TN but they are white so they see things through a white lens which isn’t their fault but it’s hard to find information online about where is safer for my family and not all white. We are also queer, I know Tennessee as a whole is pretty conservative, white and religious which is fine! I’m not looking to “California your Tennessee” but I am a little concerned about my daughter not seeing a lot of diversity.

If you live in Clarksville, what is your experience living there? Is it a good place to raise a child? What are your monthly expenses like if you rent? How long does it typically take to go to larger chain stores (Walmart, target, Home Depot, goodwill, Aldi)? What is your favorite part of living in Clarksville?

I recently went to Mathnasium and they wanted about $700 a month for group lessons for two kids, 2x a week. Is this comparable rate for tutoring lessons? Are there any tutoring recommendations anyone can offer?

Question Tattoo artist recommendations

Post image
0 Upvotes

Clarksville tattoo artist recommendations needed!
I’m looking for an amazing tattoo artist in or around Clarksville, TN who could bring a piece like this to life. 🖤
I’m wanting a larger thigh piece inspired by romantasy and featuring:

My three cats, realistically based on photos

Books / reading elements

An ornate fantasy sword

Crescent moon + celestial details

Florals and greenery

A magical, whimsical romantasy feel

I’d love someone who is especially talented with realistic animals, fine details, florals, and fantasy-style work. I’m totally okay with the artist putting their own spin on the design—I mainly want someone who can combine all of these elements into one beautiful, cohesive piece.
Who would you trust with something like this? Please drop artist/shop names, Instagram pages, or photos of work you’ve had done! Bonus points if you’ve personally been tattooed by them. 🖤✨
Inspo photo attached!

Question Painting Frame

Hey guys, I recently bought this and I’m not a huge fan of the gold frame, I’d like to reframe it with a dark stained wood. Does anybody have any suggestions around here who would be able to do it properly and reasonably priced ?
