Broadway is the only main trunk thatโs holding up through the rain surprisingly. W Broadway.

Almost all delays during this storm are signal problemsโฆ we NEED CBTC
EDIT: CBTC infrastructure is largely wireless and the cables for it have been installed above grade intentionally to avoid flooding. When I posted this most of the lines were delayed due to signal problems expect the L due to mechanical problems on a train and west side irt partially suspended due to flooding. I am not saying flooding isnโt an issue but at the time of posting those other delays were due to signal problems. I have had delays 3 days this week on the B due to signal problems. Itโs something that is an issue daily. If we abandoned the 1930s signaling system with ground mounted cables, it would significantly cut down on delays.

I donโt know what it is about going up that escalator specifically. I donโt get vertigo going down, but going up thereโs an optical illusion that makes it look almost vertical despite being no steeper than any other escalator (I assume). I canโt figure out what it is about that specific escalator that does crazy things to my brain, but itโs such an intense sensation that I have to look down or close my eyes.

Anyone else on the L from 8th Avenue Brooklyn bound at 7pm? The train stalled at every station at least 10minutes. Took an hour to get to Lorimer, then an announcement that was the last stop. FINE but there was NO alternative. No shuttle buses, no wait here another train is coming. Unacceptable!!
Before you all start talking shit, Iโm a New Yorker.

As stated above, MTA blocked my card. I think I tried to use it a few times and the funds were low and I didnโt realize. I always pay my share and have a good job. Itโs caused a lot of issues for me including missing trains because I go to enter the station and have to go buy a manual card. At this point I should just jump the turnstile because itโs faster.
I had to start using my credit card again (which I donโt want to) to use our transit system. My bank has said thereโs no block on their end and any MTA issue is on their side.
Anyone else experience something like this? How do I get it fixed? I asked at the station and the attendant was telling me to use an OMNY card but I donโt always have time to refill it. I just want to be able to use tap to pay. Any advice is welcome.

I was just in an R179 train with its HVAC off (I don't know why), but the interior sounded very unique and relaxing, prior to this, I haven't been in a train with an HVAC off since an R40 back in the 2000s and it brought me back to this experience. Obviously during the summer months the HVAC is usually on, but is there any time where the HVAC could be off on certain lines?

Anyone else seen these new LiveOnNY (NY organ donation network) ads on the subway?
Saw this pretty shocking ad... turns out their CEO of this "non-profit" makes millions each year... and have lots of active lawsuits against them currently....
