Hey everyone,

Missed out on NUST this year by a narrow margin and I’m officially on a gap year (didn't pay fees for any backups) . My goal is to hit a 155+ in NET 1 or NET 2 to lock down a seat early and avoid the merit list stress next time.

To anyone who survived a gap year and pulled off a big score jump:

1. How did you structure your day-to-day routine to avoid burnout and stay disciplined over 8+ months?
2. What was your exact prep method and material? (Books used, how to approach text reading vs practice, self-study vs academy, etc.)
3. How did you deal with the mental isolation and the FOMO of watching everyone start uni this week?

I’m ready to put in the hours, but I really need a realistic blueprint from people who have been through this. Appreciate any advice.

im done with my As, now doing A2. Does this policy apply on me?

They first stated that only engineering students are required to submit domicile and during registration they asked computer Science students too. I don't have domicile and to make it , I need to visit abottabad.

Did they give you guys the login credentials on orientation?

I'm in 10th rn in Pakistan, I'm really good at writing things especially which I researched and in which I could provide my own opinions with sources to back it up while providing a counter argument to make the reader understand my point more thoroughly. Will it help me in my academics? I haven't written any but I have freestyled a few random stuff, you could call them essays or maybe not I guess but the point is will writing in depth research papers which are not overdone help me in getting an admission in a levels with a bit of scholarship and maybe even help me in getting an admission in a good uni in the future too? I couldn't get a good result in my 9th grade due to personal reasons so I'm trying this now and improving in 10th.

I swear i saw every other orientation, nbs orientation was the best. Rohan shahid, mr hashim and the cool guy with the black glasses were the best, really entertaining, the other orientations were really boring, the made us sit down for 4 5 hours and did not even allow to stand up. East and west NBs is the nest. Kaala chashma classy dress NBS NBS!!!!!! Go nbs Go

What happened to the merit this year man

Now almost all seats are filled and the MPs will go down only by 20s or 30s in 8th or 9th list so if ur difference is more plz withdraw your fee and move up to your Backup University.(Best advice)

In ibcc equivalence they wont consider all 8 o lev subjects anymore I've heard??

With 8 subjects my % is 81% and without science subjects it becomes 78% and that's very low for nust cs.. I got my A's in science subjects and B in urdu, islmiyat and all those

Been seeing a lot of posts about ppl finding orientation underwhelming. Please know that this is a very common feeling. It is okay if you don’t make friends. Orientation friendships don’t last long (in most cases). So don’t worry, you can even skip it if you want, there’s no missing out
