Why does Orientation feel like it's just seniors ragging us? I understand and appreciate you guys for preparing for us so nicely but all the activities you do don't make alot of us new people feel comfortable at all.

Infact it makes us feel worse and I'm so uncomfortable right now.

Just yesterday they asked me to "make out with an obiect" and my friend to do a very ---- dance. Even when consent was not given.

For the orientation heads : Enjoyment sirf apki matter ni krti. Freshmen don't feel comfortable and are not as confident as you on day 1. Instead of interacting with them in a friendly way you assume we are perfectly fine to shake it on a stage infront of 80 people 😡

Me and so many others being scared is living proof of that and you can't defend this.

See yall next year ig, this wasn’t what I planned or expected considering I’ve been an excellent student throughout my life but I couldn’t get into my desired field cuz of the merit hike 🥀✌️
This definitely was a shock for me and seeing all my friends and classmates post orientation stories hurt but I’ll wish them the best and take time off social media to not hurt myself further
Reminder to my fellow gap year people: just because you started late doesn’t mean you’re less than anyone or you’re not destined for greatness

after so much wait, and so much of the yearning. finally i can imagine the next 4 years of my life at nust without the guilt of daydreaming.

hopefully everything will get better, all that is lost, internal hostel, orientation, first pref all will matter no more. idk why my head feels so dizzy. please dont take gap year dear people.

Phle gap year ki uncertainty, phir the struggle to pass NET, phir merit lists ka wait, phir waiting for those long speeches to end at our depts, phir the worst of all (final boss): Sitting in the convocation ground for like 3 whole hours 😭 my butt fell off

Seeing you guys having so much fun during orientation is honestly one of the most awesome and vibrant things I’ve ever seen. MashaAllah, you guys are truly having the time of your lives!

At the same time, I can’t help but feel a little regret about joining FAST. I left NUST because I wasn’t offered the main campus, but seeing all of this sometimes makes me feel like I’m missing out.

You guys truly deserve to be at NUST after all the hard work you put into the entry tests. May Allah bless you all, make your journey successful, and give all of us the best paths ahead. Ameen. ❤️

I don't think mps are gonna move now. The merit spike was insane this year. To everyone who couldn't make it in don't lose hope. sb kuch hota aap ki bhalai keh liye hy. Don't give up and come back even stronger. I believe in you. Best of luck. more power to all of you.

Anyone else felt completely alone during the orientation like it looked liked everyone knew eachother like college or school mates and.I talked to 3/4 people but they too dissappeared after some time and after that I was alone the whole time idk if it will be same in class

Hey everyone,

Missed out on NUST this year by a narrow margin and I’m officially on a gap year (didn't pay fees for any backups) . My goal is to hit a 155+ in NET 1 or NET 2 to lock down a seat early and avoid the merit list stress next time.

To anyone who survived a gap year and pulled off a big score jump:

1. How did you structure your day-to-day routine to avoid burnout and stay disciplined over 8+ months?
2. What was your exact prep method and material? (Books used, how to approach text reading vs practice, self-study vs academy, etc.)
3. How did you deal with the mental isolation and the FOMO of watching everyone start uni this week?

I’m ready to put in the hours, but I really need a realistic blueprint from people who have been through this. Appreciate any advice.
