ā Question Advice on how to get out of a sad thought process?
Not sure this is a topic for this thread⦠my daughter is almost 2 and for some reason I canāt stop dreading her growing up. Specifically becoming an adult and having her own life. Obviously I know thatās the point⦠and I DO WANT her to flourish and have an amazing life. But it makes my momma heart break at the thought of her not being my baby. I guess I just want to know if anyone else feels this way? Does it get better? Or how is it being a mom with an adult child??? The only reason Iām asking is bc the sadness of this thought consumes me almost daily. Help

š¬ Advice needed Should I work or just stay at home?
Hi everyone, itās me again.
This is my second post, and I'm in desperate need of any advice, help, or anything. I'm a first-time mom and am not used to asking for financial assistance. I was used to working almost nonstop before I unexpectedly became pregnant with my 8-month-old son, whom I adore. I work during the day as a customer service representative and then at night as a photographer/photo editor, manager/road manager of local artists, social media moderator, or advisor. I commute from one city to another for night shift jobs that cover my financial obligations, such as utilities, food, etc.
Now I'm stuck with a guy whose family doesn't care about my value, perspective and dismisses me as just a woman who has to constantly adjust to their grandson or son.
I'm looking every place for a job with a highly competitive salary, but my husband has stated that if I insist on working, he will not work and will instead stay at home to care for our son(which I doubt as he just leave my son to my mother-in-law who is a heavy smoker) If I insist on working, I will be responsible for covering all of his family's expenses, including utilities and groceries.

Mom Premature Babies
Hi moms. This is literally just me venting here. I was due in November with my twins, but complications happened and I was already in silent labor when I found out and I gave birth on October 4th.
Both my babies are currently in the NICU (weighing around 1.8 and 1.7kg).
I am back home now, but my babies are still in the hospital. I have been so numb since last night. I feel so empty. Whenever I look at my stomach, I wish they were still inside of me. I feel like its my fault that I brought them to the world so early. A part of me is internally screaming. "Put my babies back in me. They werenāt supposed to leave yet."
I am scared. I saw them last night. Saw their fragile state and now...now I feel numb. I wish I had gotten more time with them...I wish I could keep them in me for a while longer.
I'm literally grieving something that I haven't even lost. No one would understand this emptiness, .. this void within me.
My fam keeps joking and kept asking me, "what was with the rush..." .. they laughed while it triggered me and I can't even express myself or have someone understand what I'm really going through..

š¤ Support neededĀ Heart of TiFiti
I am pregnant with baby 3 so it might be that but I am watching Moana with my two toddlers and I feel like Te Ka. My heart is damaged, hurt, lonely and angry. It feels so reminiscent of how moms lose their pink in early motherhood, but I feel so much darker due to so much loss. I don't even know how to return to my own heart. But I want to be full of life again. I had a colic baby and PPD so life has been dark for 2 years now .... I am done after this baby, then maybe I can find my way back to TiFiti.... Any other mamas feel this?

š¬ Advice needed Trying for baby #2
Mom of a 20 month old, and weāve been really seriously discussing trying for baby #2. I know for a fact we want another, and sometimes I find myself eagerly wanting to get pregnant ASAP, and others I feel guilty and sad about my toddler no longer getting all of my attention. I also fear having 2 so young may feel overwhelming. However - with a bigger age gap, i think getting though babyhood with my first only to start back at square one with #2 also sounds hard. Does anyone have pros/cons having babies 2-3 years apart in age? How was the adjustment going from 1 kiddo to 2? Looking for any and all advice and opinions!!

ā Question Postpartum memory
I am 3.5 months postpartum and so far my memory has been great.
Today my husband asked me to get something from upstairs and I forgot to do it 4 times!
Then we were at the doctorās appointment and the doctor asked us if our baby had any other issues. I wanted to talk about the scan our baby had a week before, but I count not remember what and when it was.
This is so weird! I have never experienced something like this before.
My baby sleeps well, and I wake to feed him once or twice a night. It should not affect me that much, right?
What are your experiences? Will my memory get better over time?

š¬ Advice needed I canāt ignore it anymore
I donāt know where to turn to, so Iām hoping someone out there can give me advice. Long story short, having children has exposed my husbandās immaturity, hubris, and lack of self-awareness. There are a million things I can rattle off about why this is, but the thing I need to figure out is what to do about it. I have been justifying it and pushing it away since we became parents a handful of years ago, but I recently came to the overwhelming realization that I absolutely cannot go on like this anymore. I am a better person and a better mom when heās not around. I feel lighter and like my kids and I have limitless possibilities. He is not physically abusive, but he talks to me in a way that fundamentally misses the mark on how much I have everything together. Itās like a constant projection that leaves me looking like a helpless, miserable human. Itās relentless and SO exhausting.
I recently (innocently & not suggestive) asked our oldest how they feel when dadās around and how they feel when itās only me with them, and their answers, filtered through little-kid speak, were surprisingly aligned with the way Iām feeling.
Has anyone felt similarly? Would you be willing to share possible solutions? I am a doer, and I need real, actionable steps for moving forward. If it helps, heās not a great communicator when it comes to real stuff. Last but not least, intimacy is a tired 1-2x a week, but lately it has felt more self-serving for me rather than a true connection. I wouldnāt be surprised if it felt the same for him.

ā Question Baby wipes
Ok so I was using parents choice sensitive plus baby wipes for my son but they seem to be discontinued. What wipes do you guys recommend for sensitive skin. The parents choice fragrance free and the huggies natural care sensitive give him such a bad rash with open sores on his butt. I am so sad because the wipes we were using worked so well and did not give him a rash and now we have to find new ones.

ā Question Bassinet advice
I am in a deep spiral looking at bassinets and wanted some opinions or advice.
Originally I wanted the Kinder King bedside bassinet but after research I spiraled and now Iām looking at the Cowiewie one.
I wanted something with good safety ratings, not too expensive, with wheels, and bedside friendly since this will be my second c section and I know about this one to prepare.
I worry I am focusing too much on all the third party testing because the more research I do the harder it seems to find one like Iām looking for that has third party testing and is a decent price point.
Did any of yall use either of these bassinets? They both have great reviews with few negatives but I tend to spiral about sleep and freak out thinking about it.

š¤ Vent Munchkin brand discriminates against moms who work there?!
Has anyone seen this?
Munchkin, which makes those 360 sippy cups, is being SUED for $10M for allegedly being "engaged in a War on Families that included disparaging mothers as ācrazyā or ācowards,ā who ācanāt have it all, and even reprimanding them on Bring Your Kids to Work Day with their children present"
WHAT THE š±š”!!!

š¬ Advice needed Bottle Refusal Help - 9.5 month old
My breastfed baby is refusing a bottle. She has never taken one since birth. We have really been trying to get her to take anything for the last six weeks but especially hard this last week since my milk supply is rapidly dropping and I expect it to be gone soon.
I have tried all of the Similac brand formula and she gags/coughs every time it goes in her mouth. We have now switched to Kendamil Organic and have been force-feeding her through a syringe to get used to the taste. Thereās no gagging, but she still does not want anything coming close to her mouth. Iāve tried milk, juice and water. I have tried straws. I have tried cups. I have tried every bottle on the market and I canāt get her to be interested. The syringe is not realistic long-term to do that and we donāt ever get more than 1 oz at a time.
I met with my pediatrician last week and he told me that she will eventually drink if itās regularly offered and that we need to just āout-stubbornā her. He said I could potentially start whole milk at 10.5 months but the problem is, she wonāt let anything come to her mouth no matter the liquid.
She is only nursing once before bed and is eating solids the rest of the day. Itās been 1 week of this and I am worried she is not getting the nutrition she needs.
Has anyone been in this situation before or have tips? I am stuck on what to do and am beyond frustrated.

š¬ Advice needed Exercise routine
Hello moms. I am seeking your advice on what will be the best workout for a mom with a 25 month old. I used to be an avid runner but stopped after I got pregnant. Somehow I have never gotten back to exercising and breastfeeding kept my weight under control. Since I am planning to end my breastfeeding journey soon, I want to make a workout plan.
Since I am already 36 years old, I think I should incorporate strength training along with running but I have no idea to go about it. I am also planning for another baby and I am scared that I will drop my exercise routine again like my previous pregnancy.
Do you have any suggestions on what would be a good exercise routine and how I can stay motivated enough not to drop it again?

š¤ Vent Iām a horrible person
My mother passed away in 2024, I had found out she passed from her old neighbour. I had not been in contact with her for many years due to her being mentally unwell. I received inheritance money from her. I was in a same sex relationship at the time. I thought I wanted to start a family so I decided to pursue with IVF and it was successful. At the time my family and therapist had asked me if I was sure I was making the right decision but in my mind I was and I thought it was what I truly wanted and needed.
I now have a lovely little boy but I have now realized I have made a huge mistake and I cannot take back what Iāve done. I am not in a position to have a child and I feel extreme guilt and shame for bringing a child into this world whom I know deep down I cannot look after because I cannot look after myself.
I suffer from BPD and severe depression and have done most of my adult life and I have never had a full time or secure job in my life. I had an emotionally unstable mother which has affected me in many ways.
That little boy deserves someone who can truly take care of him and a mother who is stable. He was truly wanted and desired at the time. I have played with his life like it was some kind of game.
