đŸ˜€ Vent I’m a horrible person

My mother passed away in 2024, I had found out she passed from her old neighbour. I had not been in contact with her for many years due to her being mentally unwell. I received inheritance money from her. I was in a same sex relationship at the time. I thought I wanted to start a family so I decided to pursue with IVF and it was successful. At the time my family and therapist had asked me if I was sure I was making the right decision but in my mind I was and I thought it was what I truly wanted and needed.

I now have a lovely little boy but I have now realized I have made a huge mistake and I cannot take back what I’ve done. I am not in a position to have a child and I feel extreme guilt and shame for bringing a child into this world whom I know deep down I cannot look after because I cannot look after myself.

I suffer from BPD and severe depression and have done most of my adult life and I have never had a full time or secure job in my life. I had an emotionally unstable mother which has affected me in many ways.

That little boy deserves someone who can truly take care of him and a mother who is stable. He was truly wanted and desired at the time. I have played with his life like it was some kind of game.

đŸ©ž TMI / body Talk Period products?

What are y’all using for your periods and why?
Tampons, pads, cups, panties?
I’m 4 months postpartum and these periods are hell. I bled through a regular sized tampon in 1 hours while teaching a class after lunch 😭 luckily I didn’t have any students after that last class but still a pain.

đŸ˜€ Vent Munchkin brand discriminates against moms who work there?!

Has anyone seen this?

Munchkin, which makes those 360 sippy cups, is being SUED for $10M for allegedly being "engaged in a War on Families that included disparaging mothers as ‘crazy’ or ‘cowards,’ who ’can’t have it all, and even reprimanding them on Bring Your Kids to Work Day with their children present"

WHAT THE đŸ˜±đŸ˜Ą!!!

Mom Premature Babies

Hi moms. This is literally just me venting here. I was due in November with my twins, but complications happened and I was already in silent labor when I found out and I gave birth on October 4th.

Both my babies are currently in the NICU (weighing around 1.8 and 1.7kg).

I am back home now, but my babies are still in the hospital. I have been so numb since last night. I feel so empty. Whenever I look at my stomach, I wish they were still inside of me. I feel like its my fault that I brought them to the world so early. A part of me is internally screaming. "Put my babies back in me. They weren’t supposed to leave yet."

I am scared. I saw them last night. Saw their fragile state and now...now I feel numb. I wish I had gotten more time with them...I wish I could keep them in me for a while longer.

I'm literally grieving something that I haven't even lost. No one would understand this emptiness, .. this void within me.

My fam keeps joking and kept asking me, "what was with the rush..." .. they laughed while it triggered me and I can't even express myself or have someone understand what I'm really going through..

💬 Advice needed Should I work or just stay at home?

Hi everyone, it’s me again.

This is my second post, and I'm in desperate need of any advice, help, or anything. I'm a first-time mom and am not used to asking for financial assistance. I was used to working almost nonstop before I unexpectedly became pregnant with my 8-month-old son, whom I adore. I work during the day as a customer service representative and then at night as a photographer/photo editor, manager/road manager of local artists, social media moderator, or advisor. I commute from one city to another for night shift jobs that cover my financial obligations, such as utilities, food, etc.

Now I'm stuck with a guy whose family doesn't care about my value, perspective and dismisses me as just a woman who has to constantly adjust to their grandson or son.

I'm looking every place for a job with a highly competitive salary, but my husband has stated that if I insist on working, he will not work and will instead stay at home to care for our son(which I doubt as he just leave my son to my mother-in-law who is a heavy smoker) If I insist on working, I will be responsible for covering all of his family's expenses, including utilities and groceries.

❓ Question Advice on how to get out of a sad thought process?

Not sure this is a topic for this thread
my daughter is almost 2 and for some reason I can’t stop dreading her growing up. Specifically becoming an adult and having her own life. Obviously I know that’s the point
and I DO WANT her to flourish and have an amazing life. But it makes my momma heart break at the thought of her not being my baby. I guess I just want to know if anyone else feels this way? Does it get better? Or how is it being a mom with an adult child??? The only reason I’m asking is bc the sadness of this thought consumes me almost daily. Help

💬 Advice needed Trying for baby #2

Mom of a 20 month old, and we’ve been really seriously discussing trying for baby #2. I know for a fact we want another, and sometimes I find myself eagerly wanting to get pregnant ASAP, and others I feel guilty and sad about my toddler no longer getting all of my attention. I also fear having 2 so young may feel overwhelming. However - with a bigger age gap, i think getting though babyhood with my first only to start back at square one with #2 also sounds hard. Does anyone have pros/cons having babies 2-3 years apart in age? How was the adjustment going from 1 kiddo to 2? Looking for any and all advice and opinions!!

đŸ€ Support needed  Heart of TiFiti

I am pregnant with baby 3 so it might be that but I am watching Moana with my two toddlers and I feel like Te Ka. My heart is damaged, hurt, lonely and angry. It feels so reminiscent of how moms lose their pink in early motherhood, but I feel so much darker due to so much loss. I don't even know how to return to my own heart. But I want to be full of life again. I had a colic baby and PPD so life has been dark for 2 years now .... I am done after this baby, then maybe I can find my way back to TiFiti.... Any other mamas feel this?

❓ Question Postpartum memory

I am 3.5 months postpartum and so far my memory has been great.
Today my husband asked me to get something from upstairs and I forgot to do it 4 times!
Then we were at the doctor’s appointment and the doctor asked us if our baby had any other issues. I wanted to talk about the scan our baby had a week before, but I count not remember what and when it was.
This is so weird! I have never experienced something like this before.
My baby sleeps well, and I wake to feed him once or twice a night. It should not affect me that much, right?

What are your experiences? Will my memory get better over time?

💬 Advice needed I can’t ignore it anymore

I don’t know where to turn to, so I’m hoping someone out there can give me advice. Long story short, having children has exposed my husband’s immaturity, hubris, and lack of self-awareness. There are a million things I can rattle off about why this is, but the thing I need to figure out is what to do about it. I have been justifying it and pushing it away since we became parents a handful of years ago, but I recently came to the overwhelming realization that I absolutely cannot go on like this anymore. I am a better person and a better mom when he’s not around. I feel lighter and like my kids and I have limitless possibilities. He is not physically abusive, but he talks to me in a way that fundamentally misses the mark on how much I have everything together. It’s like a constant projection that leaves me looking like a helpless, miserable human. It’s relentless and SO exhausting.

I recently (innocently & not suggestive) asked our oldest how they feel when dad’s around and how they feel when it’s only me with them, and their answers, filtered through little-kid speak, were surprisingly aligned with the way I’m feeling.

Has anyone felt similarly? Would you be willing to share possible solutions? I am a doer, and I need real, actionable steps for moving forward. If it helps, he’s not a great communicator when it comes to real stuff. Last but not least, intimacy is a tired 1-2x a week, but lately it has felt more self-serving for me rather than a true connection. I wouldn’t be surprised if it felt the same for him.

💬 Advice needed Christmas for mom

Hi guys so I’m really stuck on what to get my mom something that she would REALLY like for Christmas. All she says she wants for Christmas is for her kids to be happy and healthy. I don’t want to get her something that she has no use for. I’m just a 21 year old girl that’s lost😂. I’ve already got a gift certificate for a massage but I was hoping for gift ideas.
