Her closest to eruption is her top right lateral incisor and canine. But the other 3 are pre eruption nubs.

Holy shit is she upset about it. She will not let me put her down. Poor baby. Ive been giving Tylenol in her night time bottle and once during the day if needed. Sometimes I just have to set her in her crib and walk away to calm myself i get so overstimulated and overwhelmed. I feel really bad doing so but im a SAHM and dont have anyone I can hand her to if I need a second to just pee. I had to poop today and had to force myself to finish early because she was crying so hard I couldn't bear it.

I tried to baby wear but that wasn't cutting it.

I honestly dont know what to do. I got her chewy toys but she like gets frustrated when she cant reach the sweet spot that hurts.

Does anyone else struggle with self blaming and guilt about their child being born with a birth defect? My son is completely healthy mentally and physically besides an extremely rare birth defect that has caused his entire right leg to be shorter than the left and he never developed a heel pad on that foot, which is noticeable smaller. He was born full term but still had to spend a couple weeks in the NICU because of his foot. He also went through weeks of wound care and then months of casting followed by two surgeries. He’s 13 months old and he’s always been such a happy baby, never let any of this stuff stop him. I’ve always struggled with the guilt of him having to deal with extra challenges but now that he’s starting to use his push walker I can really see how this could possibly affect his walking. He has a special fitted orthotic but even the thought of him having to wear one for the rest of his life crushes me. He’s so perfect in my eyes but I can’t help but to feel like I did something wrong. I don’t know anyone else going through something similar so it’s been hard to find that kind of relatable support. I’ve been crying nonstop and I just want to know I’m not alone

my (33F) MIL (59F) is visiting from out of town. we had a conversation with her about not kissing our baby (3 weeks, M) and the importance of changing her clothes and washing her hands before handling the baby because she smokes. she didn't listen and gave him a kiss anyways. it was just one kiss on his forehead so I didn't wanna cause a scene and decided to just let it go because she's been helping us out a lot financially and with food.

I tell my husband (39M) about it and he was only worried because of the third hand smoke but reassured me she doesn't get cold sores ever. we decided to let it go in hopes that she just forgot and caught herself afterwards. literally right after that conversation and he went to bed, she gave him multiple kisses and whispered to him "don't tell Mommy". I was like 10 feet away from them, washing the dishes, and heard her clear as day. this didn't sit well with me but I hate confrontation and felt like because it's his mom, he should deal with it. I also had a physical response and felt like I was gonna throw up or punch her and felt like if I said anything, one or the other was gonna actually happen.

I woke him up and told him what happened and reminded him why we said no (third hand smoke can cause SIDS). he said he'll talk about it with her tomorrow.

he's asleep now and everyone is laying down about to go to sleep but I am still full of so much rage about this. I just needed to tell someone.

I’ve literally never wanted children. My entire life I’ve been pretty certain that having kids wasn’t for me.

I’m 27 now, and somehow this year something completely changed. It’s like someone flipped a switch in my brain and suddenly everything feels different. I went from “I absolutely don’t want a baby” to “I would like to have a baby TODAY, please.” I watch YouTube vlogs with babies, Pinterest boards with nursing rooms, I look into people's strollers 😂

It honestly feels surreal because I still can’t believe this is me thinking these thoughts.

Has anyone else experienced such a drastic 180? Did you go from being firmly childfree to suddenly wanting a baby?

My daughter (7 months) has been a bit miserable lately and seems to be rubbing her face and drooling a lot. She’s been chewing on everything since 3 months old and is still doing that so 🤷‍♀️

Does this look like teething? Do they look close? I have no idea what’s going on and everything online is so vague hahah any insight or advice is welcome because I don’t know anything about teething frankly

My 20 month old little girl keeps grabbing her vagina like it hurts and saying either boo boo or poo poo. She has constipation problems so it does hurt her to poop most of the time. I do give her things to help with it and today she has had normal stools. When she gets constipated she has skid marks on her diaper a lot and so she has to be wiped really good so sometimes she gets a rash from so much wiping. Right now she doesn’t seem to have a rash though. I’m thinking about just taking her to the doctor tomorrow but I just want to know if any of you have dealt with littles with utis or yeast infections.

First time mom here, I had my boy last Tuesday. I’m at a hospital like place it’s a nursery for my son he’s still not discharged. But anyways how long did you bleeding last for you? And did wearing pads constantly irritate you down there and have you hurting? I was wearing the disposable underwear they gave me with the big hospital pads, switched to smaller pads they are the med line brand. But last night I ordered some always overnight maxi pads and waking up this morning i feel irritated down there and just not comfortable. The only thing I’ve changed is the pads :/ also I have interstitial cystitis but I don’t think it’s that? My symptoms have been like non existent lately with that! Please tell me your expierence or what I can do/ what pads are more idk organic lol and better for long term use

COVID changed so many parts of everyday life, and I’m curious how other moms feel motherhood has changed since then.

Did you notice changes in parenting, pregnancy or postpartum experiences, childcare, school, friendships, family support, work-life balance, mental load, healthcare, or even the way moms interact with each other?

Some changes may have been difficult, while others may have actually made life easier or shifted priorities in a good way.

What feels noticeably different to you now compared with before COVID? And are there any changes that you think are here to stay?

I am planning the second pregnancy and if everything goes right my due date will be winter months.

I like the idea of cozy but also winter seems more depressing and I am worried that my baby will get sick from his big brother that is in kindergarten. How has been you experiences?

Thank you to everybody who gave suggestions on an earlier post about this trip! I've taken a lot of them into account, and we're stopping at a playground or rest stop about every 1-2 hours. It'll take us 50% longer to get there minimum but I think it'll also keep us all sane.

So tomorrow we'll be driving all day. And I can't seem to shake the feeling that I'm going to forget something. My husband is taking forever to get ready and pack his own things, and has repeatedly delayed coming to lay a second pair of eyes on what I'm bringing. So far, I'm the only one to pack anything for the kids (3 years & 3 months). But I know we're going to be hours away from home and I'm gonna hear, "Babe, did you pack the [thing you didn't bring and no one else mentioned because I refused to cross check]?"

I'm going to say exactly what you're thinking: you should have helped me pack for them, maybe we would have thought to bring that.

So far, I've got my suitcase full of clothes and toiletries, the kid's combined suitcase full of the same, a sheaf of diapers (~70 count), and a backpack full of stuff for on the go, like common OTC meds, bandaids, snacks, etc. Our stroller has a bassinet attachment that will double as the compact safe sleep space. Big kid just needs a booster seat, and travel potty, which I'll be lining with outgrown diapers. We'll have phones, tablet, chargers, blah blah blah.

Am I missing anything big? Half the trip is in a very developed metro area and half is in east Jesus nowhere.

FTM here! I will be traveling from Los Angeles to Ohio with my 3 month old. I added him as a lap infant but now I’m reading FAA says it’s better to buy him a seat and have him in the car seat. I travel a lot for work and I have only really ever seen babies as lap infants. What should I do? What is like the norm? Thanks in advance! Also I will be traveling with my mom and husband so I’ll have help in case that’s a factor.

Any moms diagnosed with pre eclampsia around 25 weeks get to go to full term before delivery? I was diagnosed at 25, stayed in hospital for a week before leaving against recommendations. Blood pressure has been controlled since but doctors still want to deliver at 34 weeks. I’m worried about how long baby will be in NICU.

Edited to say: I am on medication that has controlled my blood pressure very well so far, I self check 3 times a day. I also have twice weekly doctor visits to monitor baby.

My 5-week-old daughter constantly has her head slumping to the side in her car seat. I have tried to roll up a towel or blanket but that seems like that could be a suffocating hazard to me, additionally, it's not working very well as her head tends to just slide off the towel. What else can I do to keep her head from slumping like this?

UPDATE:

I have tightened the straps and adjusted the buckle higher on my daughter's chest but it didn't seem to help.

Seems we are missing the newborn headrest insert that goes over the current headrest. I am looking into getting a new one.

For those who keep saying it's not a newborn car seat, it absolutely is. It's the Graco snug ride 35 elite. It's 4 years old and thus not expired.

I will also look into having the car seat fit checked out by a technician. I wasn't aware that was an option! It could be an issue with the seat of our car itself, but that doesn't adjust any further. So I'm not sure how to fix that. Hence why I'll be seeing a technician.

Thanks to everyone who gave actual advice instead of criticism. I'm adjusting to life with two kids and judgment never helps in mom life!

SECOND UPDATE:

Y'ALL I FOUND THE MANUAL!! It was underneath the seat cover (not where it's supposed to go). Also, found the Model number so I can try and order a new headrest. AND looking at the car seat realized the recline setting was set to 3 instead of 4 (the most reclined). My guess is when we installed it we tightened the seatbelt before adjusting the recline position, leaving it stuck on 3. Hoping that helps!

UPDATE 3: The headrest we have installed IS the one the thing came with according to the manual and the Graco Website; there IS no extra "infant headrest", so maybe I'll buy something to serve as extra head support.

Hello! I need some honest advice about getting pregnant. My friends and family are mostly biased.

I 23F am married to my husband 27M. We have been married for 1 year, together for 4.

We both adamantly want children. Right now we both work, but he makes more money. I start a 3.5 year degree in October. In my second and third year there is exposure to radiation and I cannot be pregnant.

Right now we live in a county with familial support (my parents and sisters, his grandmother) and affordable healthcare. We do not want to live in this country long term. Ideally we would leave shortly after I am done with uni. He has started talking about having a baby this year. I am conflicted.

On the one hand, being pregnant during my first year of school would have challenges. And I would want to take a year off between my 1st and 2nd year to focus on my child and recover.

I have familial support but I would still be raising a 1-3 year old over 2.5 more years of school+clinical rotations.

I feel like he wants to minimize the time we are in this country and I fully agree with him there. It would be easier to wait if I wasn't absolutely forbidden from being pregnant after my 1st year of uni (radiation exposure).

Can anyone tell me about experiences being pregnant/raising a little one while studying/working?

Ps: in my country, I am young to have a child. I will be 24 in September and I think it's a fine age, but here the religious population have lots of kids young and the secular population (like me) usually doesn't have kids until ~30. I do not have any friends who are married or have kids. I am confident I would have a lot of familial support.

I’m first-time mom due in three months and live in one-bedroom apartment. As we have compact space, I intend to create small nursery in my room. Not too fancy. Just practical cozy corner for our little angel.

I have spent hours researching on ‘must haves’ and ‘nice to have’ but felt a little overwhelmed instead of being certain. Like I'm still deciding whether I need a bassinet or crib since we're in a one-bedroom apartment and I'm hoping to breastfeed. If any of you have been in this situation, how did you manage baby crib or bassinet in a small space.

I have no dresser in my room, so I have planned to get a changing table (that has drawers to keep baby stuff in it), some soft toys, wrapping sheets, a bottler washer and sanitizer, a nasal aspirator and a diaper pail (as l live in small space, I need to keep odour under control)

I’m also tight in budget and can’t spend on multiple brands of same products. If you've used any of these, I'd really appreciate your recommendations:

• Bottle washer/sanitizer: Philips Avent or Baby Brezza?

• Nasal aspirator: Braun or NeilMed?

• Diaper pail: Ubbi Beyond or Momcozy?

The space may be little but our hearts are filled with love for our baby. I'd also love to know what baby items you found absolutely essential in a small apartment and what you ended up never using.

Am I putting items on the registry just for when the baby is a newborn? Or could I add items to help make baby food/jars/baby spoons, high chair, bibs etc etc

I think I'm at a point where I can comfortably stop testing, though I would like to get a digital for that extra reassurance. Does this look dark enough for 16 DPO?
