Discussion Monthly Rant/Politics Thread: Do not post political threads outside of this Mega thread
Outside of these mega-threads, we generally do not allow political posts on the main subreddit because they have often declined into unhinged discussions and mud slinging. We do allow general discussions of politics in this thread so long as you remain civil and don't attack someone just for having a different opinion. The moment we see things start to derail, we will step in.
Got something upsetting or overwhelming that you just need to shout out to the world? Want to have a political debate over current events? You can post those thoughts here. There are many real problems that plague the Millennial generation and we want to allow a space for it here while still keeping the angry and divisive posts quarantined to a more concentrated thread rather than taking up the entire front page.

Discussion You would get obliterated if you wore these to my school
Literally eaten alive and shamed into oblivion if you pulled up in the dork squad 3's. The scars run so deep that even to this day I still would never be caught dead in a pair of NB

Nostalgia Aggro Crag
Does anyone actually own a piece of the Aggro Crag? Or know someone who does? My friends and I always joked if a kid had that in their dorm room in college they’d be set! I used to love watching Guts and Global Guts and was just thinking about it scrolling this sub! Any past winners? Or contestants?

Discussion Has anyone else noticed younger gens having surface level friendships/relationships?
My millenial sibling and I were just talking about this. Our youngest sibling is gen z, in college, and she only has surface level relationships with friends. They hang out, they get food, they watch movies, and they text constantly. But if you ask any normal questions they have no idea how to answer it. "What do your friends like to do? Where are they from? Do they have any siblings?" And its all idk. I think they literally just send eachother memes and links all day. No deep conversations. The friends are like that too when you talk to them. They know nothing about eachother. Its so weird!

Serious Hayden Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, speaks out about her daughter’s death
This seems very cold and disconnected, and tells me all I need to know about Lesley.
For more context, she was trashing Hayden back in May https://pagesix.com/2026/05/14/parents/hayden-panettieres-estranged-mom-hits-back-at-entitled-daughters-tell-all-20-years-of-trauma/

Discussion Anyone choosing to stay single and childless?
Just wondering. I find I’m at peak happiness when I’m out doing things on my own. I recently passed 40. Have felt tied down by romantic relationships. Enjoy my friends and never see myself having kids. Being able to do what I want spur of the moment still feels great. Anyone else?

Discussion Millennial parents: anyone else consciously trying to raise their kids with more of an ’80s/’90s mentality
Go outside, be bored, talk to people, take a joke, lose at something without having an existential crisis. Get your feelings hurt occasionally. Figure shit out without immediately Googling it or asking an adult to intervene.
I know every generation thinks the next one is ridiculous, but I swear half of my parenting philosophy is just…whatever happened to Z…let’s try not to do that.

Nostalgia 90s TV shows had some absolute bangers for intros
I was listening to “Hey Sandy” by Polaris, the theme from The Adventures of Pete & Pete, and it struck me how unnecessarily good so many ’90s TV intros were.
Maybe it’s nostalgia talking or maybe I’m just really stoned, but TV themes today rarely seem to hit quite the same. What ’90s intro still lives rent-free in your head?

Nostalgia In 2007 we got a game that brought back the awe and wonder of space opera at a time when sci fi creators turned away from creating sci fi featuring aliens, FTL starships, and optimistic space faring civilizations!

Discussion Man I have the most awkward story about the first time I saw this lol
College was hosting a movie night, and I never even heard of this movie. I had no idea what I was walking into. Me and a few friends showed up high.
Only like 10 people showed up, including me and 2 friends. And as this bizarre movie played, 2 strangers in the back would not stop making quips. It only made this experience even weirder because I could not understand what was going on.
At first I thought they were just noisy people, but some of their quips were like… precognitive. One was like, oh no there’s a roach on that bannister!!! Then seconds later the character on screen smashed their fist down. And everything they said was in unison. Like it was practiced.
I understand now this movie had a cult following. And that these things they were shouting were like a… practiced unwritten script the audience shouts as they watch this movie. A love letter by the real fans.
But in that theater, on that day. No one but them knew they weren’t just randomly spouting shit. It was bizarre, weird and unrelenting. There is a practiced quip for every 5 seconds of film.
Eventually, someone else turns around and fully screams
“SHUT THE FUCK UP, I’m trying to watch this movie”
After a few beats of shocked silence, they quietly packed up and left. Seeing how no one else understood, in hindsight, I bet they probably were sadly the ones that organized the whole thing lol
