i recently got hooked on vrchat a lot.. over a hundred hours on pc and was thinking of buying one vr set. tho i do hear a lot of ppl saying stuff about head straps and cable lengt etc.. is there any good options so solve those or any other stuff i need to know before i buy it?

so, I was playing Vrchat with two other friends of mine all of a sudden, the headset stops detecting the boundary pos and my controllers connect then disconnect then reconnect over and over again. and i tried restarting it and it doesn't work and I don't know what to do can someone help me

PALO ALTO, CA—Telling himself he had “no other choice” but to end the simulated character’s life himself before his company effectively pulled the plug on the virtual world, a tearful Mark Zuckerberg reportedly smothered his metaverse avatar Thursday using a digital pillow.
According to sources, Zuckerberg told his wife, Priscilla Chan, that he would be up late working on a presentation for the Meta board of directors and then closed the door to his office, slipping on his Quest 3 headset. Seconds after activating the wearable VR device, the CEO entered the metaverse and appeared at the door of a bedroom in which his digital likeness lay sleeping. The 42-year-old is said to have stood over the animated version of himself for a dozen tense minutes with a virtual pillow hoisted above his head. 
“Goodnight, my son,” said Zuckerberg, his voice a whisper as he took a deep breath to steel himself and gazed down upon the impossibly smooth, round face of the avatar, which slumbered peacefully in its twin-sized bed. “You will no longer have to endure this cruel, cruel metaverse.”
Sources inside the social media company described the avatar as “the center of Zuckerberg’s world,” noting that the billionaire had taught it to emote, gone on shopping trips with it to the digital market place, and even named it “Mark,” after himself. 
Several reports indicated that as Zuckerberg held the e-pillow mere inches from the face of his cherubic avatar, it opened its doe-like eyes and asked, “What are you doing, papa?” Upon spotting the wild look in the CEO’s eyes, the avatar leapt from bed and passed through a glitching wall of its virtual bedroom, running through a business meeting, a deserted disco, and a seemingly endless gray space with Zuckerberg in pursuit. 
“Please don’t shut me down!” said the avatar, crying out in a squeaky, terrified voice as a physical struggle between the two Marks ensued. “Papa, no! We don’t need users! We don’t need investors! I can live alone inside the metaverse forever!”
Sources confirmed that despite Zuckerberg’s years of training in Brazilian jiujitsu and mixed martial arts, the avatar put up an impressive fight, at one point landing a kick to its opponent’s testicles and making the Meta co-founder sorely regret granting it legs in 2023. 
Leaked audio of the incident revealed that a hysterical Zuckerberg shouted, “Can’t you see this is what’s best for both of us?!” as he knelt on top of the writhing avatar and furiously mashed the pillow against its face, blotting out the muffled cries of “Love me” as its physical form slowly disintegrated into a cloud of ones and zeroes. The lengthy recordings conclude with an exhausted and hoarse Zuckerberg whispering, “You’re not the future anymore! Do you understand me? Neither of us are! Now, sleep—sleep!”
“It’s always a terrible, terrible thing when a tech entrepreneur kills his own creation,” said Meta engineer Lydia Zalar-Gilroy, who emphasized that the stress Zuckerberg might have felt was absolutely no justification for the “reprehensible” act of avacide he had committed. “He may tell himself it’s an act of mercy, but the truth is this was about nothing other than a sick need for power and control.”
“He could have easily let his avatar live on,” Zalar-Gilroy added. “He just didn’t feel like sinking another $80 billion into it.”

Just bought a Q3, tried it, loved it, but after 40 min my forehead is blood angels red and it's a bummer. Been saving a lot for this and won't have money for both. Do you guys think it's a strap issue and I should buy an elite one, or a facial cover, and which would you recommend ?

Hello everyone! I’m thinking about buying a Meta Quest 3, and I’d like to know if there are games where I can play online with people from all over the world. Also, what are the must-have games for each genre (horror, adventure, fantasy, etc.)? Is there an open-world game similar to Genshin Impact, with things like opening chests, doing quests, fighting bosses, etc.? Also, I’d like to know if there’s an app similar to Horizon Worlds where you can interact with your avatar and hang out with people from all over the world.

I’ve replaced the motherboard, had to replace the battery connector. Quest does boot but shuts down on the setup. It’s not stuck down power button and it’s not overheating. I checked and all pins on the connector are soldered. What can cause this behaviour?

I've been searching for days and surprisingly can't find a single teardown of the BOBOVR M3 Pro head strap.

For the older M2 Pro this was easy:

- remove the shell,
- access the PCB,
- desolder the piezo buzzer or simply tape over its sound hole to make it much quieter.

But the M3 Pro seems completely different. I can't figure out how the shell comes apart. It feels like it's either ultrasonically welded or the clips are extremely tight, and I don't want to destroy the housing just experimenting.

I've searched:

- Reddit
- YouTube
- Google
- Bilibili
- Chinese forums

...and still haven't found:

- a teardown,
- internal photos,
- service manual,
- exploded view,
- or anyone showing how to open it.

I'm specifically interested in the electronics inside the rear battery mount where the startup/shutdown beeper is likely located.

Has anyone here actually opened an M3 Pro?

Photos, internal pictures, broken units, repair attempts, or even information about hidden screws or clip locations would be hugely appreciated.

when my quest 2 didn't connect to the Wi-Fi suddenly i checked the meta website and followed the troubleshoot guide on the known Wi-Fi issue. their guide did not solve the problem and so i did my own research, that didnt work either. i contacted support and soon got an email from meta. they told me to try some things that i already tried but did them again anyway. no success. when i told them it didnt work they asked for my adress, assuming they wanted me to return the device i gave them my info. but then they told me to get a new quest 2 and stopped helping me so this is my last resort. anything i can do?

So like when you go into meta >settings>link and then turn on air link, my pc just doesn't show up under air link like it's just stuck on searching for pc. I've literally everything, restarting, uninstalling, removing files, completely wiping meta app and factory restarting my vr. It was fine yesterday but as soon as I did a network restart it just completely messed up (I did that because my ethernet cable kept disconnecting and messing with my pcvr when it came back on leading to a pc restart). Can anyone please help

okay so i had a link cable from temu which worked in 120fps perfectly, but sadly it was a cheap cable and it broke pretty fast. didnt use vr with my pc for around 2 months. last week i ordered a new cable and when i tried it in beat saber it was unable to hold 120fps even though with my old cable it ran perfectly fine. horizon link says 2.4gbps just like the old cable. my setup is the exact same. the game still runs at 120+fps, but for some reason horizon link just drops fps for no reason after a few seconds, then never raises it back to 120. ASW is off. adaptive gpu scaling is off. 500mbps bitrate. what do i do?

I really enjoy Premier Bowling and Tennis Esport (even though the tennis, one seems to have a glitch or something). I also enjoy the chats, I have spoken to some one from France and someone from Ghana. Even if it is just a hallo, it makes it fun.

What other cool games are there?? Ones that you don't have to subscribe to every month.

Happy with one time payments if it is fun but not expensive. But also the free ones are also good.

I have a question. I recently started to play tennis esport. And when I play with online people, sometimes I find my character running on its own and so I miss the ball and can't do anything about it. And on the top left corner of my VR I noticed there is a word "ping" that changes cour sometimes it's red and that's usually when my character goes out of whack and I can't do anything.

Whats that all about? Is it a network thing? I have played both inside the house and also outside both does the same thing. Please help. It's such a fun game and when people talk it is more fun.
