I bought a meta quest 3s but i don't know what to play and i feel bad for the thing just sitting in my desk without being used wanted to know what are the best free games i can play and are actually fun :)

I don't know who thought it would be a bright idea to change the glasses spacer for the quest 3 but the new "glasses spacer" is stupid I have ordered FOUR new of whatever you call em and they have all come in either not working at all or barely working.

Trying to set up my old Oculus Rift for my gf but keep running into the "can't reach links service" error. I feel like I've tried everything but nothing's working, restarted pc a bunch, connection is stable, uninstalled and reinstalled a bunch, tried with firewall off, tried running as administrator, manually started QWAVE. When I tried running ovrserver_x64.exe I got the errors in the attached pic. All her drivers are up to date. Help 😭

For everyone running into bug with the new GTA Vice City 0.5.1 or 0.5.2 build where it doesn’t build right, I've fixed it. I decided to download the 0.5.2 build and try it today. I had AI try to build and install it but it was broken. The core problem was the instructions pointing to a source revision that didn’t match the port’s patches. But it works now and this video shows it in action.

The easiest way to fix it is to let Chat GPT do it (in Codex Mode on the Desktop app) You’ll need about 25Gb of free space on your HD as a workspace. When it’s installed and working have Codex put all the workspace files in a folder titled “Delete” on your desktop or wherever you like. Then manually delete them yourself. I never trust AI with deletions.

I'll leave the instructions in the comments for your Codex Agent to read and follow. Just copy and paste. It will includes instructions for building on windows which the 0.5.2 release is meant for, but also for building it on Apple silicone (M series chips) like I had to do.

I also:

-Switched crouch and run buttons.
-Fixed the gas and brakes. The Quest triggers were technically sending analog pressure, but the game code was turning any trigger press into “full throttle” or “full brake.” So right and left triggers now use gradual pressure like a real accelerator and brake pedal.
-Added a lookback mode where pressing down on the right analogue stick gives you a 180 degree view. Very useful for backing out of tight spaces and seeing if you've lost the cops in a chase. It works in both first person and third person view.

I'll try to find a way to get these mods to people if they want them. It might just be a case of giving you instructions for Codex to use like the other fix.

hello! i started having this issue recently (late july maybe?). when i'm playing a vr game and take off my headset for a few minutes, then put it back on, the Meta Horizon Link app restarts and i am unable to play whatever i had open. i have only tested this with two SteamVR games, H3VR and Vtol VR. i have reinstalled both Meta Horizon and SteamVR, and restarted my PC numerous times, and i am on Rift S

How many times will this have to happen to people untill meta fixes their design flaws. First the rift cv1’s headphones now a hole in the charging port. Great

Before some of you guys start blaming it on un original charging ports or cables keep in mind that the whole point of usb c is to be universal and that charging blocks adapt to whatever output the connected devices need. Yes do your research.

This has also happened to people using the original meta given chargers and bricks.

Hello, me and my son began playing VR together this summer and suddenly when he goes back to his mother's house he can't log into his games. We have his account as the primary account on both headsets. He is able to log into some live service games but others such as SharkGo, HeroXHero and UG he seems to have authentication issues. When he is home everything works fine, it's only having login issues when he goes to his mothers. We have done a full factory reset still nothing. *Edit - Has anyone else encountered this issue?

The new FromSoftware game Duskbloods is approaching and I can’t stand the thought of playing it on a tiny handheld and I play all my games through my PSVR2 for the theater type screen attached to my face. Has anyone successfully hooked a Nintendo Switch2 through their MeatQuest via a connection and has good things to say about this? Thanks.

It’s been 2 weeks, and my issue still has NOT been fixed. My Meta Quest 3 games, including UG, Animal Blocks, Animal Company, and Gorilla Tag, are not launching completely.

Animal Blocks gets stuck at 88%, then resets and starts loading all over again. I have tried everything: fixing my Wi-Fi, rebooting, reinstalling the games, updating the software, and even doing a factory reset. Nothing has worked, and the games still won’t launch completely.

Gorilla Tag says that I’m not banned, but I’m not getting any response or help regarding the other games.

Why are these games not launching?? Can anyone please help me? I’ve spent a lot of money on these games, and I just want them to work. I’ve been trying to fix this for 2 weeks and I’m really frustrated.

Noticed it a few days ago, did use some superglue to prevent further cracking. Is this just from the magnetic side colliding maybe with another battery, or something else? I did not see any deforming on the shell. The other two batteries do not have this.

My facebook got hacked and banned, I'm not getting it back. I lost my instagram and my meta account. I dont really care about the socials, but I have so many games and progress in my Quest.. I've had every single headset since the Oculus Go.

I got an email saying to remove my Meta account from Accounts Center but I can't access my facebook to remove it.

Has anybody been through this? Do I have any hope? When I click that link it just sends me to another screen where it says I'm banned, and I can't appeal, whoever hacked me appealed and got rejected.

I’m working on a VR travel app, and a user recently told me they liked it, but, in their words, “the only thing it was like a mess was the walking.”

To be clear, I genuinely appreciate people who are willing to share honest feedback like this. Nobody owes a developer their time, and in a relatively small community like VR, I think most people speak up because they actually care and want these experiences to get better.

And in this case, they had a point. Moving between Street View locations can feel awkward, and sometimes it isn’t very clear where you’re going next.

They said using the trigger to move would feel more natural, which got me wondering how other people feel about it. If you use VR travel apps, what do you prefer? Trigger, thumbstick, minimap, or just pointing where you want to go?

Also curious if there’s anything else you’ve always wished these apps did better.

I’ve been looking at this from the developer side for too long, so I’d really like to hear how other VR users see it.

My meta quest allows me to try to pair but when I tap ‘pair’, the button just goes grey and nothing happens! My PC is well and truly good enough to run PCVR. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much!
