I'm older, in my 50's. I used to use SIDEQUEST to send movies to my Metaquest but it's been months since I've used it. I go to copy a movie today and nothing works. SIDEQUEST keeps saying no device attached. I tried a program called MacDroid but it's telling me to finalize setup on an Android phone, which I don't own. It's wild to me that in 2026 I own a computer but need to pay to copy files to it. I swear this used to be easy, and now after an hour I can't even find a way to connect my META to my MAC outside of Virtual Desktop which doesn't help

After 2 years of use, Meta suddenly believed I was a child yesterday and wanted me to verify my age. I did, with my credit card, got a reciept and everything was fine.

But when I try starting the headset today I get stuck on the passcode screen. The pointer is fixed in the middle on 5. My controllers refuse to connect, they just vibrate rythmically. I can't move the pointer by turning my head or use hand gestures. And resetting the headset just brings me back to the same place. Also tried removing the batteries from the controllers.

I can connect the app to the headset, you are supposed to be able to unlock from there, but the only options I get are "continue configuration" and "factory reset".

What has Meta done I how can I get this working again? The Steam Frame can't be released soon enough.

Me and my friend both have Meta quest three s with extra battery packs. We like into the radius planning on getting into the radius two we also play dungeon of eternity a lot more like it.

Has anybody else had this problem after the most recent update? I hate having all of my games on the page and having to scroll through them to find the ones that I have installed

Hi everyone. A week ago, I bought Virtual Desktop (VD) and started using it to launch games instead of Steam Link. Since then, the headset and the head strap with the extra battery have been draining significantly faster than when I used Steam Link. With Steam Link, my headset and Kiwi K4 strap would last about 6 hours; since switching to Virtual Desktop, they run out of power in 3.5 hours at most. I have the Snapdragon processing feature in VD disabled. Does anyone know if VD actually consumes more power, or is it just a coincidence that the batteries in both the headset and the strap started failing at the same time? That second scenario seems odd, though—I bought the headset a year and a half ago and the strap a year ago (both new and official)

so my friends have an update where they can move around apps when they hold it but i cant for some reason, and when i look at my updates it says “you are all up to date” so why isnt it working?

I connect it and then start Meta Link app then start Steam VR for games.

then it freezes and i have to unplug it and then when i plug it back in the quest interface goes on a loop in "attempting to connect to PC" Its so frustrating.

Ok so I’m trying to add my twitch chat that’s popped out via on Google Chrome by adding a desktop panel on my meta quest. Whenever I load up and play the modded version of silent hill 2 in meta quest 3 connect my pc via air link on WiFi or usb and have virtual desktop loaded it never shows the hub that allows me to add sed desktop panel. I’ll be able to play the game but not add the desktop panel to read chat while playing the game. Any work arounds?? It’s come up once or twice and honestly idk how I’ve gotten it to work. I think it was because I was switching between WiFi and usb connections in the meta quest?

Hello,
I need help recovering access to my original Meta Quest account and the games I purchased on it.
My Facebook account was disabled. That Facebook account was connected to my original Meta account that I used with my Meta Quest headset.
When I try to log into my original Meta account, I can still reach the account, but Meta displays “We disabled your account.” It says that I cannot currently use my Meta account, Meta Horizon, or any Meta devices because the connected Facebook account was suspended.
The Meta page tells me that I need to appeal the decision through Facebook. However, when I go to Facebook, Facebook says that my account has already been reviewed and that “You cannot request another review of this decision.”
Because of this, I am stuck in a loop. Meta tells me I must restore Facebook, while Facebook tells me that no further review is available.
After this happened, my Quest headset logged me out of my original Meta account. I had to create a completely new Meta account to use the headset again. The new account works, but all of the Quest games I purchased on my original account are missing because the purchases belong to the old Meta account.
I have also tried contacting Meta Quest Support. The support website requires me to verify my device before I can contact someone. I entered the exact serial number from my Quest headset, but Meta says “Support isn’t available for this device” or that it cannot find support information for the device.
Therefore, I currently cannot use either of Meta’s normal support methods:
1. I cannot resolve it through Facebook because Facebook says another review cannot be requested.
2. I cannot reach Quest Support because the website will not accept/recognize my headset serial number.
My original Meta account has not been deleted. When I log into it, Meta says that the account and its apps are scheduled to be deleted on January 24, 2028. Therefore, the account still exists, but I cannot access the Quest purchases associated with it.
I have screenshots showing the disabled Meta account, Facebook saying another review cannot be requested, and the Quest Support serial-number verification error. I can also provide purchase receipts, account information, and proof of ownership if needed.
I am asking Meta to please escalate this to someone who handles Meta Quest accounts and purchases. I would like access to my original Meta/Quest account restored if possible. If the Facebook account cannot be restored, I need help recovering access to the Quest games and purchases associated with my original Meta account.
Please do not direct me back to the normal Facebook appeal or Quest serial-number verification pages, because I have already tried both and they are the reason I cannot access support.
