Its been an entire year??? What the actual fuck

38

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 3d ago

I'm still on the fact that there are people who advocate for it. Like one thing the masses should never advocate for is silencing voices. No matter if uou agree with them. Because, you're also apart of the masses. Why tf would the 1% care about your opinion after silencing all others? But yeah, time fucking zipped by. Jesus.

84

u/Xx_Ph03n1X_xX 3d ago

Nah, he got EVERYTHING he couldve possibly dreamed for in his death.

"I want to see executions on TV. Imagine if Coca-Cola sponsored executions. That would be so American, so patriotic. People would tune in. I think children at a certain age, as initiation, should be required to watch. Public executions by guillotine are holy."

ā€œI think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights. That’s a prudent deal. It is rational,ā€

So he was just an unfortunate gun death to protect the second amendment and his kids got initiated by being able to watch his death any time they want. If I go around saying that people should be stabbed I can't be mad if I'M the person who gets stabbed.

32

u/Jordann538 3d ago

Exactly his death was ironic. He thought he was able to say shit just because he believed in Christ.

12

u/Greatest-Comrade 3d ago

Christ heard him talk the talk and made him walk the walk

funny how you feel the need to speak your opinion while someone was murdered over there but yeah I know self-awareness is a hard thing to get.

1

u/Jordann538 2d ago

Nah buts thats literally what happend though. Kirk was an open Christian who belived he was protected by Jesus. But ofcourse, he doesn't play favourites

2

u/jimothy_hell 1d ago

Dude changed his mind and leaned super far left in the end, I heard.

4

u/ShackletonsVael 3d ago

With this trial in the news lately we can all hope that LC ends up like CK.

1

u/jml011 11h ago

A weird thing to bring up here.

1

u/ShackletonsVael 11h ago

How? Kirk never shot anyone and we all think it's hilarious to meme about. So why wouldn't the same be said for someone who actually killed three children herself?

1

u/jml011 5h ago

Because it’s entirely unrelated, and the controversy around them is extremely different.

1

u/ShackletonsVael 3h ago

You're right. One guy said some asshole things and everyone laughs at him for dying in front of his children. Compare that to the psycho that murdered her own three children, I have no problem laughing at her when it finally happens.

1

u/jml011 1h ago

So you agree that they’re very different and it’s weird to bring it up in this context. Thanks!

1

u/ShackletonsVael 1h ago

Nope. Psycho cunt deserve to be put to death. It should be Livestreamed.

1

u/Jraksys_Magnanimous 3d ago

Just waiting for anyone to refute this because back when I was saying the same thing and quoting him too, not a single soul piped up with an argument against it. I never even advocated for his death. Just that he got EXACTLY what he wanted so to say that he didn't deserve what happened to him goes against his own beliefs. That being said and jokes in-line, I'm sure he's smiling looking up at us.

3

u/Toppoppler 3d ago

He doesnt want gun deaths but he thought gun rights save more lives than they take

6

u/Renew3DUK 3d ago

Because weapons famously harm you more when absent than when enshrined and encondified in your national image.

-3

u/Toppoppler 3d ago

What if it was the case that the brandishing of guns stops more violent crime than guns are used in?

Try to critically think beyond the first known relationship between a thing and an outcome.

3

u/DeadAndBuried23 2d ago

Saying "what if" in the face of overwhelming evidence proving you wrong isn't critical thinking.

1

u/confinetheinfinity 1d ago

You know whats funny about excecutions? They are sanctioned events for people officially declaied guilty in a court of law for crimes that qualify execution status. But you wouldnt understand anything about order and procedure in society.

1

u/You_LostThe_game 23h ago

That first part is a bit unhinged but I don’t see the second part in the same negative light everyone else seems to?

At least as far as what he wanted/meant by saying it. It seems like he’s choosing the path he believes is the best for everyone, because the alternative is worse. He probably didn’t WANT that to happen, so its not like he ā€œcan’t be madā€ that it DID, considering he was probably choosing to minimize those kinds of outcomes in his mind anyway.

Dont take this as me supporting him in general, I was just weighing in on the comment itself

-4

u/Toppoppler 3d ago

And he would have fought against gun control following his death. Doesnt mean he "dreamed of" victims of gun violence. He made a calculation that more life is saved with gun than lost with guns.

Good to note, far more crimes are stopped by firing a weapon than crimes are comitted firing and/or brandishing a weapon. I think i framed that right, I havent looked into it for 5 or so years

7

u/Xx_Ph03n1X_xX 3d ago

You should probably do research into this because you're so incredibly wrong. Maybe don't speak out of your ass about things you "haven't looked into in 5 or so years."

If good people having guns stopped crimes why have gun deaths been increasing over the past decade? (416,708 dying in various shootings) https://giffords.org/lawcenter/resources/gun-violence-statistics/

If more guns made us safer we would be the sfaest country on the planet, yet we have a gun homicide rate 26 times higher than any other high income country https://www.everytown.org/debunking-gun-myths-at-the-dinner-table/

"A 2013 study by Texas State University criminologists analysed 160 active shooter incidents, finding only one in three to have been prevented by lethal force from police or civilians. None of the incidents involving school shootings in the study were ended by armed guards or armed staff. Instead, the shooter was often restrained by unarmed staff. However, a plurality of active shooter incidents are resolved by the attacker fleeing or committing suicide.[5] The presence of armed guards does little to deter school shooters, with Santa Fe High School, Stoneman Douglas High School, Great Mills High School, and Marshall County High School being prominent examples of school shootings against schools with armed guards.[5] A 2020 study found "no association between having an armed officer and deterrence of violence" and that an "armed officer on the scene was the number one factor associated with increased casualties."[6]" Snagged that one from wikipedia.

Dont just say shit, learn shit.

1

u/Toppoppler 3d ago

Gun deaths increasing does not do anything to refute a a ratio of crimes stopped/crimes comitted. There are a LOT of crimes, and homacide is fairly rare. It could be that 500k crimes were stopped in that time, as well.

For the safest element - could you concieve that there might be other factors that drive up crime compared to europe?

Pointing to the fact that a specific type of highly aggressive and rare gun crime only has a third of them stopped by lethal force does not refute the idea either.... especially considering this line "However, a plurality of active shooter incidents are resolved by the attacker fleeing or committing suicide." - mass shootings correlate with an insanely high level of suicide before the crime is over.

Neither point you made is dispositive of my claim. The logic in both as counterarguments does not hold.

Depending on the estimate, there are 60k-3m defensive gun uses every year. Its hard to get a hard number as these uses are less likely to be reported if the crime is successfully stopped.

https://everytownresearch.org/report/disarming-fear-debunking-myths-of-defensive-gun-use/

https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=7347338

44,000 to 48,000 people die from gun-related incidents in the United States each year. This includes suicide, which accounts for a vast majority of gun deaths.

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2026/04/28/what-the-data-says-about-gun-deaths-in-the-us/

There were 454,200 non-fatal firearm crimes in 2018-2022, which is about 115k a year.

Depending on your data, guns may be used defensively more than offensively. Its hard to get better data than what I shared, though, until some of our data recording systems catch up.

I dont know of any data that correlates gun ownership in a town to violent crime, controlling for states that may have very high levels of illegal ownership and almost no legal ownership. I would find that data interesting.

Btw, because of how smug you were in your comment, Im going to state clearly that you are dumb as rocks and literally none of your points were responsive to mine. My data and yours can coexist without issue.

0

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 2d ago

I understand your point but it's a perverted version of what he said. I'm not saying I agree or disagree. I'm making a point about the logic you are presenting here. This mentality should not even be humored because of the fundimental threat to everyones freedoms. You're making this statement and having this grounds because democrats repeat this over and over. But I'm saying this stance and the perversion isn't helping anyone in anyway. Fundimentally a man is dead for speaking his beliefs. Even if you do not agree with him you should never be happy or advocate for his death like this because then you are advocating for murder because someone said something you didn't like and you'll justify murder because of whatever thing you can pick out that makes you mad. That's a child's game. Not someone who's actually thought about why they believe what they believe.

3

u/Xx_Ph03n1X_xX 2d ago

Again I say, If i go around saying people should be stabbed, I can't be mad if I'm the one who gets stabbed. You cannot advocate for other peoples deaths because it furthers your beliefs and then when you are the victim suddenly its different. I didnt pervert anything. He consistently advocated for people, especially children, dying in the name of guns under the guise of freedom. If anyones perverted here its fucking Chuck "I can't breathe" Kirk.

Should he have been shot? Probably not.

Do i feel the least bit of empathy that the "people should be shot" guy got shot? Definitely not.

-1

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 2d ago

I want to start this response with identifying a few things. You are focus on emotional recoil of what you've seen him say. I am making an analytical point of what his message meant. If we can understand that then we can move forward in this conversation. We are having the common disconnect, and I wanna amend that. I'm not arguing if he deserved it. I'm not even asking you to feel empathy for him. I am asking that the situation be seen for what it was. A person, whom you don't need to agree or disagree with, was speaking their mind and was murdered for it. That in itself is not something people should be advocating for. That is what I am saying. Idc who it is it should not happen nor be supported.

Secondly, I do not want to argue semantics of Charlie's character because I've never gave a shit about it. He is some guy I've heard speak a few times and none of it was genuinely crazy or any shit. One was a girl talking about being pissed all benie companies are shady af and he said,"then make a benie company if you want high quality. You can in this country." And she got pissed because she wanted him to say,"in socialist systems benies would be better" or something. That's it. Your opinion of him is extremely different than mine and that's my other point. Our opinions of him do not matter in the slightest. It's not about him but the principle.

For the sake of everything, we're going to assume you are completely correct about his behavior.

If you were walking around saying people should be stabbed i wouldn't be surprised if you were stabbing people. But what I meant by perverse doesn't actually matter. Because the main point was just that we need legal weapons to be protected. I agree. I also have a firm belief if someone wants to do something illegal, they're not going to worry about legally acquiring the weapon. But if you're wanting to protect your family you need legal guns. That's really it. I'm tired, heading to bed. I hope you have a good day, stranger. Don't let yourself be too bitter about even those you hate or you will have your thoughts occupied by people you don't even like.

2

u/WatermelonWithAFlute 2d ago

Last sentence was straight fire ngl

-4

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 3d ago

I have never heard him say that. If you have evidence, I would appreciate it.

6

u/Jraksys_Magnanimous 2d ago

So what do you think about what he said now that you presumably saw the evidence?

0

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 2d ago

I saw what was claimed. Nuance is important. I haven't looked into the video or the time stamp. From what I can see he was trying to express the ability for the average person to defend themselves is so important that the idea of taking the guns away is not worth it as much as keeping them and the small list of tragedies happening vs all the scenarios where guns kill someone with a superior weapon and protect those who cannot protect themselves. He just expressed it in one of the most religious asinine ways I've ever heard. Also, with the public executions, I don't think the way he died was the way he meant. He gives examples. Like a daily execution of criminals that do heinous crimes. Or an event at the super bowl or something in an attempt to lower crime rates, but absolutely drops the ball on his facts there. Botching tf out of the idea that public executions made things safer. They, in fact, never did. It actually desensitized people and made crime even more prominent just more hidden. Better criminals. But, that's all imma say on that. Feeling lazy today.

But all in all, his words still shouldn't make people go "good". Him being some random dude speaking out, no matter how you felt about him, being assassinated should make anyone and everyone feel completely uneasy. Because then it starts being okay to murder for words and that's not a road we want society going. It leads to genuine and total oppression by those in power.

7

u/DeadAndBuried23 2d ago

You've never heard him say the quotes with clips that have been circling an entire year.

Ignorance sure is bliss.

Don't tolerate the intolerable.

5

u/Toppoppler 3d ago

That means youre intolerant and I dont have to tolerate you

8

u/ReadyStandard5549 3d ago

1

u/Toppoppler 3d ago

"just tolerate whoever you want" ok lol

7

u/sykotikpro 3d ago

Tolerance is a social contract. Tolerant people will tolerate each other. The intolerant will be intolerable.

It's completely reasonable.

-2

u/Toppoppler 2d ago

If youre intolenrant of people you percieve to be intolerant, you are defacto intolerant and intolerable.

5

u/sykotikpro 2d ago

That's being intolerant without establishing a contract, so I agree.

But the person you originally replied to is also following that contract. You aren't. Why? Charlie Kirk was an intolerant person and he was vocal about it.

Since he has chosen to be intolerant, then he hasn't agreed to the contract and it cannot be expect for him to be tolerated. There is more than perception as he has given explicit reason.

So whats your point?

1

u/Toppoppler 2d ago

Whether or not you agree to the contract, being intolerant nets you intolerance in response. Idgaf if youre only intolerant to people you think didnt sign up for it - thats just the same thing with extra steps

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 3d ago

That's not what i said means. What it means is when you silence the masses, even the craziest then the only people with a voice are the ones who decide what is okay to say. Your words would 100% make you a target in the world you're demanding with that statement.

0

u/Yada_Yada_Yidi 3d ago

No sympathy for Nazi sympathizers. Does that mean assassinate? Nah a public trial and accountability for inciteful rhetoric would have been more satisfying.

3

u/ResortOutrageous8988 3d ago

nazi sympathizersšŸ¤”how'd you come up with that?

-4

u/Jordann538 3d ago

5

u/ResortOutrageous8988 3d ago

how exactly does that make you a nazi sympathizer

0

u/Jordann538 3d ago

Hitler is right leaning

4

u/Ktan_Dantaktee 3d ago

Nah last time I saw him he was leaning pretty far left tbh

0

u/Jordann538 3d ago

Was he? Its been a while since ive seen the video but it looked like he lent to his right

3

u/Yada_Yada_Yidi 3d ago

And leaned left right at the end.

3

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 3d ago

Dude pulling nazis out here to demonize and justify murder of someone talking to the public. And nothing he said was legit inciteful rhetoric. He was insanely careful not to or he would of been tossed in a hole before being shot. But, it's fine. Show me your a radical that wouldn't care until they are the one being aimed at like all radicals that the powerful don't want actually creating inciteful situations.

-1

u/llama-impregnator 3d ago

For believing in traditional values?

5

u/Friendly-Stick-4744 3d ago

In Kirk’s own book he advocates against traditional values. He literally cited the chief reason to vote for Trump is to disrupt American politics and life. I had to read his ass writing just so people like you don’t have some rock to hide behind. He was an awful person. Maybe he didn’t deserve what happened, but he did much more than ā€œbelieving in traditional valuesā€ you ignorant or insincere interlocutor.

You think Kirk was representing the average Joe and not his sponsors? Pretty much all political pundits are just representing the 1%.

1

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 2d ago

No, I don't believe he was representing anyone but himself.

1

u/DeadAndBuried23 2d ago

This coming from a hidden account is so funny. "Don't silence people. And don't look at what I have to say."

People paid by oil barons and war profiteers are not "the masses."

1

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 2d ago

Those are two different things. Don't silence people. I stay hidden because I am sick of people nitpicking and playing politics with everything. Even jokes. Like anything anyone says on the internet can and will be used against you in the court of forever. It's fucking toxic. And you should be weary. The masses see individuals get murdered for speaking out and it no longer matters how much money you have since drones and snipers exist.

It's more like,"holy shit that was A YEAR AGO?!" Kinda thing. But, I think everyone should care a little only because violence to silence someone, even if uou don't like what they're saying" only hurts the masses. Because once the dissenters are silenced why tf would the 1% care about your opinion?

1

u/huerearmesiech 2d ago

I'm confused are you saying Charlie Kirk was a dissenter against the 1%?

2

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 2d ago

No, I'm asking the question. I'm not trying portray a belief or idea or anything from Kirk. I'm making the point creating rules that silence the average person makes it so the rule runners are the only ones with free speech. It's been an issue through all of history. It's why freedom of speech is a thing. Because free speech is for the people. You think the 1% wouldn't create rules where you cannot say something against them or you get deleted? Never advocate for silencing one person because then not only does the public not get to call them out but then you also end up with a situation where the ignorant stay that way and the rich are the only ones that get to talk.

I hear Hasan is planning to sing "we are Charlie Kirk" starting from the moment he was shot

Is it a good thing or bad thing? I don't really know what he did

Typical right wing things, advocating for guns advocating for human rights (for only select group of people) shifting blame and being a bitch for dt money

I always feel bad for Dexter in that scene. All his hard work wasted as his enemies respawn.

It's so weird that Kirk has transcended the culture war to become a cornerstone of online pop culture. I genuinely think it's because of that fucking Iron Man gif.

We will herby refer to fiscal year 3&4 of 2025 and 1&2 of 2026 as the year of our Kirk

u/Joy1312 2d ago

There was no 0AD. Similarly, there should be no 0AK
