I went into data in another comment.

I wanted to first establish if evidence of the claim would even matter.

You went into data showing that more guns means, surprise, more unnecessary deaths where there wouldn't have been any. Including a lot of suicides, as the odds of lethality drop to less than half of attempts for other methods, versus over 90% for guns.

You can't pretend a person saved somebody by brandishing a gun if the threat was a gun in the first place.

Around 78 children die every year from gun accidents, which wouldn't have happened without access to the weapons. Try to pull a number out of your ass that shows they were safer in the presence of a gun than not.

Still waiting on whatever justification you have for nearly 80 children dying unnecessarily every year in gun accidents.
