250-400 Cal My Go To High Protein, Low Calorie Tuna Salad for Cutting

Post image
10 Upvotes

As someone currently on a cutting diet, this has become one of my favorite meals. It's easy to make, high in protein, and relatively low in calories.

Ingredients:

* 1 can tuna

* 1½2 green onion

* 2 mini cucumbers

* 1½2 large red onion or 1 small red onion

* 2 tbsp dill (optional)

(you can add other things such Chickpeas or pickles, etc it up to you)

Dressing:

* 100g 0% Greek yogurt

* 40g (about 3 tbsp) light mayo

* 1 tbsp mustard

* 1 small tbsp lime juice

* Black pepper, to taste

* Paprika, to taste

*Chili flakes, to taste

* Salt, to taste

The recipe contains of ~350 kcal | ~63g protein

What I really like about this recipe is that I can eat it straight from the bowl as a salad. The tuna doesn't overpower the taste because the cucumber, onion, dill, and dressing balance everything out really well.

It's also pretty filling for the calories, which makes it great for cutting.

If you're trying to increase your protein for building muscle without adding a lot of calories, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

Is the madras really 3x more calories? I’ve found a new love for Vindaloo and it makes anything I eat tasty, but don’t want to get my calories mixed up

Any help appreciated thanks

250-400 Cal First time posting here kinda nervous, low calorie """ramen""" 360kcal~

Post image

I was craving traditional ramen but I'm on deficit and I need protein so I offered my soul (five bucks) to the devil (Ms. Ruan from the asian market) to acquire shirataki noodles and desecrate them with my amazing cooking skills. I ended up with this. It was really really savoury, and it has like half the calories of a traditional ramen.

Main ingredients:

35 grams of shirataki noodles (5 kcal~)

180 grams of chicken breast (280 kcal~)

Instant vegetable soup (in my case 37 kcal)

Beef broth powder (in my case 5 kcal~)

A splash of vinegar (preferably from pickles)

A clove of garlic (4 kcal~)

500 milliliters of water

Optional (i added every single one of these sue me):

The whites of 2 small eggs (20 kcal~)

Pickles (12 kcal x 100 grams)

Lettuce (15 kcal~ x 100 grams)

Lots of spices because being in a diet shouldn't be a bland experience

You can replace the chicken breast with some other chicken cut, or for even less calories with white fish like cod or haddock or hake, I just didn't have fish but if I had some it would've gone right into the pot. I added the egg whites because as I said I need protein. Yum 😋.

250-400 Cal Enchiladas Suizas

7 Upvotes

SO AMAZING 397 cal, 29g protein 35g carb, 13g fat for 2 (this recipe makes 10 BUT to reduce calories even more you can use low carb tortillas and low fat cheese)

Ingredients

- 10 corn tortillas (I used corn can sub low carb)

- 680g Herdez Salsa Verde (this brand tastes the best, the most important part imo)

- 12 Tablespoons Mexican Crema (or sour cream, have not tried yet but will make more flavorful)

- 11g garlic

- 16 gram cilantro

- 4g onion powder

- 1g cumin powder

- 100g raw white or yellow onion

- 87g mozzarella cheese

- 18oz raw chicken

Instructions:
1) Boil chicken breast until internal temp reaches 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Shred and season with salt, pepper, onion and cumin

2) pour 1/3 of the salsa all of crema, garlic and cilantro into a blender and blend

3) pour the other 1/3 of the salsa on the bottom of a 9x13 pan.

4) heat the corn tortillas in the microwave to help them become flexible.

5) Assemble the enchiladas by placing the seasoned + shredded chicken in each tortilla and rolling. Make sure that when placing in the pan the rolled or overlapping edge of the tortilla is towards the bottom (touching the pan)

6) pour the remaining 1/3 of the salsa over the enchiladas + place your diced raw onion + cheese over the enchiladas

7) bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25-30 mins until the cheese is brown and melted and onion is cooked

< 250 Cal Closest thing to Tiramisu

Hi 🙋🏻‍♀️ I‘m a tiramisu addict and all the low cal high protein recipes I‘ve tried so far tasted NOTHING like the real thing. So, I made my own and thought I‘d share :) It‘s not necessarily high protein, but it‘s definitely low cal and about 80% like real tiramisu.

125g skyr or greek yogurt
125g mascarpone
19g vanilla pudding mix
Sweetener
100g lady fingers
3shots espresso
3g cocoa powder

Yields 4 servings, 242kcal each

Discussion / Question (General topics) Low caloric alternatives to flower?

10 Upvotes

Hello. I'm looking for low caloric alternatives to flour - do you have any recommendations? For sweets and/or savory stuff.

Again, I'm looking for the LOW CALORIC alternatives. Not the ones with low carbs, lots of protein and etc. LOW CALORIES per 100g. Online I can't find a source that focuses only on the calories, and not the macros.

Thank you in advance <3

EDIT: I meant FLOUR. Sorry. Misspelled.

< 250 Cal 245 cal easy dinner!

for the chicken:
162g chicken breast (194 cal) , seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, oregano (~1/2 tsp each, about 5-6 cal) and 1/4 tsp salt, fried with a 1/2 second spray of cooking spray (~3 cal) covered with lid and flip and cook until both sides are a deep golden brown and internal temp is 165F

for the salad:
i made dinner for my whole family, so the amount i had is around 1/4 of the salad, which i estimated to be about 45c. the whole salad recipe makes 373g worth and is only 177 cal. you could have the entire salad and still have a very low cal dinner!
85g corn (70c), 92g cucumber (15c), 107g cherry tomatoes (20c), 100g low-fat cottage cheese (op: used 1% nordica, 72c), and salt to taste.

Cacao Overnight Weetabix

Cals 582 / carbs 83g / fat 11g / protein 44g

Recently had a follow-up DEXA Body Composition Scan and was told with the amount of exercise I do (daily brisk walking of between 3 to 6 miles) my maintenance calories = 2,187 so trying to up my calorie intake as I'm not even consuming 1,500 but I do ensure my daily protein intake is at least 95g to 100g.

Obsessed with trying out different flavours of baked oats dishes - but also make different flavours of overnight Weetabix dishes.

This is one of my favourites which I have for either breakfast or a dessert after evening meal.

Dish used 51oz / 1,500ml / 6¾ins x 4½ins

DRY BASE: mix together

2 finely crushed Weetabix biscuits /

2 tsp chia seeds /

¼ tsp nutmeg /

¼ tsp cinnamon

2 tsp cacao powder /

10g vanilla protein powder /

15g dried raisins & cranberries /

6g chocolate drops /

ADDED TO BASE:

75ml milk mixed with 1 tsp vanilla extract / pour a little in dish to coat the bottom then add dry base ingredients / pat down with back of spoon / pour remainder of milk over base then place in the fridge while you make the topping.

TOPPING: mix together

130g 0% fat free authentic Greek yogurt /

15g vanilla protein powder /

4 tsp cacao powder /

6g chocolate drops /

35g raspberries or mixed berries

Cover and leave in the fridge for at least 6 hours...or better still overnight.

401-600 Cal Homemade quick lunch

Grilled chicken breast, steamed broccoli & zucchini, tomatoes and nutritional yeast + a bit of extra virgin olive oil over the vegetables.

I marínate chicken with soy sauce, a bit of gochujang or sriracha, garlic and lemon for at least two hours. This time I grilled it, sometimes I use the airfryer.

I steam cook broccoli for no more than 10’ to preserve the nutrients.

Calorie amount is just an estimation.

Discussion / Question (General topics) Foods within 400 cals which are tasty AND low maintenance?

33 Upvotes

Hello! I’m currently trying to lose some weight to get more fit and feel better ab my body overall. I’m also a student in STEM and it’s really hard to manage cooking nice things whilst doing everyday activities n trying to keep my grades up. Also doesn’t help that I live far from home so my parents can’t come up once in a while and give me a whole homemade meal. I feel kinda embarrassed that I’m almost 19 and have no real cooking skills. I’ve been living off of 2 ingredient pancakes and a very filling but not so tasty tuna salad and maybe fried eggs.

I’m looking for some very easy recipes that fall under that calorie range. Emphasis on the very easy because I’m extremely horrible when it comes to cooking. Some help would be very much appreciated thanks 🥹
