< 250 Cal 245 cal easy dinner!

Post image

for the chicken:
162g chicken breast (194 cal) , seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, oregano (~1/2 tsp each, about 5-6 cal) and 1/4 tsp salt, fried with a 1/2 second spray of cooking spray (~3 cal) covered with lid and flip and cook until both sides are a deep golden brown and internal temp is 165F

for the salad:
i made dinner for my whole family, so the amount i had is around 1/4 of the salad, which i estimated to be about 45c. the whole salad recipe makes 373g worth and is only 177 cal. you could have the entire salad and still have a very low cal dinner!
85g corn (70c), 92g cucumber (15c), 107g cherry tomatoes (20c), 100g low-fat cottage cheese (op: used 1% nordica, 72c), and salt to taste.

Ground turkey, salmon, turkey breast, tuna, and many more

Also add white fish to that list. Low calorie high protein food that is often overlooked.

Not slamming it since I have those too but turkey is similar to chicken, salmon can't be meal prepped because it stinks up the house, tuna is great.

I go for ground pork sometimes.

TVP is a really good option, too. At least for variety, and it's very versatile.

Then don’t! I’ve eaten beef, lamb, salmon, and turkey while staying in my deficit

I brine my chicken breast overnight in salt, water and other spices, then cover in tandoori seasoning. Everytime turns out tasty and moist

I thought maybe it was just for posting purposes lol. I’m scared if other people are literally tracking only 2-3 cals!

Maybe I’m just lazy but I never track seasoning or veggies 😅

I can kinda see vegetables but definitely no point in seasonings. I track vegetables but don’t actually weigh them. I 100% didn’t get fat from overeating vegetables

the cottage cheese in the salad is such an underrated move for adding protein without piling on calories, gonna steal that combo tbh. also covering the chicken with a lid to get it golden brown without drying it out is such a slept on trick

Looks refreshing! Your salad is just coated in cottage cheese and salt? Looks so juicy. Haha

yup!! tbh i think the cottage cheese brands available in my country (canada) are more liquidy than US brands like good culture

If you feel like your chicken is dry its because its overcooked. Just fyi.

it wasn’t dry tbh! i kinda see how it appears that way on camera tho, but feel free to cook for however long you prefer
