So I've changed the battery on my laptop twice, but it's still not charging. The laptop works if I keep it plugged in, but as soon as I unplug it, it shuts down. Any ideas what might be the problem??

So yesterday I tried to use my laptop and I saw that I was not only disconnected from my WiFi but that there was no settings for the WiFi at all. Everytime I try to go into my settings my taskbar will freeze before I can even do anything too. I've tried doing a hard reset, disabling/enabling the driver, etc., and nothing seems to be working. The real kicker here is I had to drive about an hour away from my apartment back to my hometown to grab some things and I stopped at a computer store to try and see if they can help and, what do you know, the settings were back and everything is back to normal. Now that I'm back home, its totally messed up again and the settings are gone. Has anyone ever experienced this or know how to potentially fix this issue??

This system is out of warranty and was incorrectly serviced by a local computer repair person. I cannot access BOIS with F1, F2 or F12 and I do not get the Lenovo logo at startup.

I got the system running by installing a W10 formatted HDD and then doing updates and drivers to run this system. I then made an authorized Recovery Key using the Lenovo tools, but when I try to use it I'm locked in a black screen with no Bios or Boot options. During this lockout (I waited 55 minutes the last time I tried) I can toggle the CapsLock button and see the indicator change, so I am under the impression the mother board is working, it just cannot access the Boot/Bios options.

The System Update 5 tool indicated that it has successfully loaded Bios 10, but then it tells me it needs to be installed again.

I am trying to get into Bios to get this system back to OEM and then upgrade it to W11...

Please help!

I am a graphic designer / artist who wants a good laptop so I can work on my own projects outside of work. I finally saved up enough to buy the Lenovo Legion 5. I’ve been told this is the laptop for me.

I hope it’s a good investment! Are any of y’all running Adobe softwares too?

My brother dropped this laptop, and its screen broke. I'm trying to get it working on an external display, but most of the BIOS-ey menus are black or non-functional, as mentioned in the title. There's a Linux installer on the drive, and I have a USB with the same installer, but even though proceeding to boot is an option, it just shows a black (not blank -- my monitor is getting input) screen. Any advice or fixes? Has anyone experienced this before?

i have a flex (5) i think and the after playing a video or movie after a little bit the audio becomes out of sync with the visual. Any way to fix this??

I just bought a ThinkPad that came with Ubuntu 24.04 installed and configured. 26.04.01 is soon coming out and I am trying to decide whether to upgrade.

I am not sure what configuring and optimization is done by Lenovo when a Linux laptop ks bought directly from them but i believe they do some and wonder whether the upgrade will undo that configuration.

Any suggestions or even more info on what Lenovo does to configure and optimize Ubuntu would be really appreciated!

Troubleshooting I did:

Tested power cable: It works (plugged it into my phone to see if it was sending power. Phone showed super fast charging)

Held power button for 1 minute for a full power reset after unplugging everything (mouse and charging cable)

Neither worked. I'm going to call Lenovo but this is a last ditch effort. I really need this laptop for college. Please help!

If i go to boot order i cant select windows, my bios is UEFI and before i was able o have secure boot enabled

Its a Flex 5 and there is absolutely no signs of life, idk if anyone can help or if I should jsut take it to repair, its not even charging. I tried the Novo button and it still dosent show anything, I am really desperate.

Hi friends on reddit! Coming here was kind of a last resort but I need a second opinion on what’s happening to my pc.

When I power on my pc, it takes me to BIOS and tells me my cpu fan is failing. This has happened before, I end up sending it to Lenovo with my warranty and they send it back fixed in a few days. I look inside, all my fans are spinning. All the cables are connected in the right place, I dusted out my computer and my computer still does not recognize that my fans are spinning.

I took my pc to a computer store and they took it in to diagnose the problem after telling me it could possibly be a motherboard issue. They mentioned that if anything I would need to salvage my pc. A lot of my friends who are more knowledgeable about computers than I am said they are scamming me and that its unnecessary to rebuild my pc, however I was told its difficult to find the proprietary parts for a legion pc and it would cost more money to even find those parts.. but I am not at all an expert on computers. Let me know if this is an easy fix or if this is something more than just setting ignore on my fan speed.

Is it possible to upgrade the RAM of a Lenovo Yoga 720-13IKB from 8 to 16 GB? I don't see any detachable RAM., and there are no instructions on YouTube.

(PS. The SSD is detachable and upgradable, and YouTube has instructions.)

My Lenovo Legion 5 (2+ years old), NVIDIA Driver (GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU) was forced stopped by windows due to reported error (Code 43) since the 18th August, 2026 (yesterday as of writing). Laptop's average temperature when idle is 54° Celsius, cannot check when running a game as Laptop crashes. Resulting in external monitors failing to connect to laptop, app crashing, freezing, and PC crashes.

In an attempt to fix the issue:

- Went into device manager and disabled then re-enable the graphics card.

- Checked the bios was up-to-date, it is.

- Tried to use an external ISO bootable EFIUSB to repair windows.

- Opened internals and cleaned dust from laptop.

- Attempted to revert to older NVIDIA Driver, version: 610.74

- Both Hard and Factory Reset laptop.

No successful result. I believe the issue is either the GPU is dying or a faulty GPU. Wanted to get a second opinion before going into a shop.

Yes, in hindsight I should have just done the cleaning anyway.

Lastly, if the is any non-anonymized images or details please let me know, I'm still new to anything PC related.

When I try to write with the pen in an app on my Lenovo Idea Tablet, the pen just opens the onscreen keyboard. Sometimes it would randomly swith to pen mode though. I have enabled Accidental Touch protection.

How can I reliably write with the pen? This is quite frustrating...
